Microcenter is always my go-to for computer stuff and when I needed new thermal paste to complete a build I naturally ran to MC before they closed on Sunday evening. I highly recommend Kyronaut and use it for all of my builds. However, I SHOULD have checked the Amazon price before I completed my MC checkout as it was almost $10 cheaper online. Considering that MC price matches this was my bad BUT for such a small item that is very common the local store should keep real-world prices in line with Amazon.

It feel amazing on how far thermal grease technology has become. Some of you might say “what’s the deal, it is just a couple of degrees’ difference”, but to a true PC enthusiast, it does mean a lot. Even if you aren’t going for overclocks, cooler operating temperatures will extend the lifespan of your hardware.Thermal Grizzly Kryronaut is definitely one of the best thermal greases you can get on the market right now. If you are getting it for personal use, the 1 gram packaging should be sufficient for your usage. I totally recommended the Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut.

I chose this paste based on numerous reviews and list online, deciding it was the most efficient paste. Liquid silver and such metal based products will most certainly give better thermal conductivity, but I did not want to take the risk on products that will also conduct electricity.The paste seems to apply pretty well when pressed between the cooler and CPU and does not leave noticeable bubbles, even when not applied that well.I have noticed pretty big gains by switching my old pastes to this one in temperatures of the CPU, but of course the old pastes were not in their prime anymore.The nozzle is a little odd to use. The great thing about Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut is that it's really easy to apply. Not too viscous. Many articles state it's one of the best thermal greases, if not the best thermal grease out there. The only thing preventing 5 stars is the prices. It's significantly more expensive than other thermal greases. Currently using Kryonaut on some RTX 3080 TI GPUs (along with copper plate mods)

I do not know if what I got was an old supply, but it does not spread very well. In fact it tends to stick to the Thermal Grizzly Spatula.It works for the most part after application but after just 1 month of using it, I found that my GPU has gotten hotter again. The performance was great before (85c max Junction Temp on a 5700 XT - down from 110c++) however, noticing that the temps had slowly creeping to 90c and have seen as high as 95c. Less than a month. Not exactly good to repaste again every month if that is the case.CPU (Ryzen 7 3700x) with aio idles at 45c - which is high but fine with PBO on. Never reaches higher than 70c during stress tests. Be aware that it can pull the cpu from its socket and you will need your MOBO replaced.Maybe try Noctua's because my experience is not so stellar.
I used this product on 2 old ps3 phat systems, anyone knows about them they know they run hot, i did a process called deliding which pretty much exposes the chip itself, i put it on the RSX chips and put the lid back on and applied more on the lid then closed everything back up tested the first system wound up breaking that one. 2nd one worked after i did that tested the system and watched thermals the rsx chip stayed under 60C 90% of the time never got past 70C. Before i did this RSX stayed past 70 most of the time, and this was on 16-17 year old thermal paste from Sony.
This stuff is the best thermal paste bar none. Yes, liquid metal and conductive pastes may be marginally better although unlike standard thermal paste they pose the risk of short circuits. This goop, however, works just like normal thermal paste which means your rig is safe from accidental shorts. Dropped my GPU (EVGA 2080 Super) from 70c to 60c just by replacing the stock paste with this stuff.
4/5 Stars, just because of the price. In short, buying 5.5grams of this stuff makes it cheap enough to be the uncontested winner's choice (on this occasion anyway) ! I'm a frequent user of Arctic Silver 5, which is a superb performer in the smallest syringes that I / we usually buy and great for pretty much any CPU solution. I STILL recommend it too as it's still much, MUCH better value for money than Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut. However, two things make Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut irresistible: - 1. Even better heat transfer meaning drops of up to 10 Celsius are possible, depending on the cooling setup and case breathing, of course. 2. It is electrically non-conductive so you can use it on GPUs (and 'open-topped' CPUs) as well. The second point is a big one for me as ... More4/5 Stars, just because of the price. The second point is a big one for me as graphics card manufacturers often advertise cards as "quiet" when what is actually happening is that your GPU is 'quietly' cooking itself to an early grave! [N.B. This is why I often recommend installing MSi Afterburner for Nvidia cards as it monitors your card temp and usually allows you to control the fan speed as you like.] So, with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut, you can 'pop the lid' off your graphics card and do it the same favour as your CPU with similar results and no risk of shorting SMCs (surface mounted components). E.G. My GTX 980 Ti seemed to be running pretty hot so I applied Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut to the GPU on that (leaving everything else alone apart from a little cleaning) and reduced the temp by 10-15c on average. So. in summary, Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut is VERY expensive compared to Arctic Silver 5 and other popular pastes. But, after careful comparison, the price for 5.5grams of it makes it much cheaper. If you don't mind the price, just buy it! It's fabulous at what it does! P.S. DO follow the application instructions for ALL pastes, which change depending on your CPU!
Hi,I decided to try this product with my quite heavily OCd system, ASUS Prime Z590-A , Intel Core i9 11900KF 3.5GHz (5.3Hz Turbo) 8 Core.I won't mention the previous thermal paste by name but the 'Grizzly' product worked very well for me, the temperature readings fell by some 6-8C degrees which is significant.And, even though I sometimes suffer from impatience, your service was very good, as it always has been.Best Regards,Mauri Berg.
