I bought this case to transfer out an old AMD based ATX MB rig so I could reuse the high end case it was in. I recalled a cheap Thermaltake case I owned ten years ago which I really liked and decided that this case was its modern equivalent. Pros: 1. Cheap 2. Well made - there and no sharp edges and the inside is painted. 3. It has adequate expansion options. 4. PSU is bottom mounted. 5. Good cooling support and built in fan filter. Cons: 1. Too small for an atx build. This case would benefit from an extra 35mm width in the space behind the motherboard tray. It also needs another 25mm of space above the motherboard as it is impossible to route the 8-pin CPU cable behind the motherboard tray (No access ports above the motherboard) 2. I'm fairly new to building my own PCs. I have tried cases from other manufacturers and find Thermaltake to be the best quality and value for the price. I'm not a gamer and their selection suits my needs. I recommend this case to anyone looking for a quality case at a good price for a budget build.
Just an FYI, the case only comes with three standoffs for mounting the motherboard. This is not a mistake by Thermaltake as the case was machined with raised metal holes that are the exact height of a standoff screw. Once you have your motherboard placed inside of the case you will see where you need the three included standoffs depending on the motherboard size(Micro ATX, ATX).
I did a lot of shopping around for a case. I found many I loved with all the bells and whistles but they always had the issue of missing the inside caddy. This does look a little plain but it does the job and looks alot nicer in person. Comes with caddys! Has a back panel for wires, comes with a fan. It also has a lot of room for fans, as well as other stuff. Overall its great for the money and isnt flimsy at all.
Cable management is okay, I guess. The PSI slot thing was a big issue, but if you can live with having to use some brute force to build, I would definitely recommend.
Have built hundreds of systems but with this case 2 out of 3 of the cases the HD and Power LED do not light would give it 4 stars if they didn't come half dead (although lights aren't huge for many people we have a few that demand the light to be able to tell if the system is on without wiggling the mouse
Would've given 5-stars if not for the crack running through my window. Totally throws off the aesthetics. Beware as well, as my CPU heat-sink [Zalman CNPS Extreme] is kind of on the larger end, so it fits pretty snugly against the case.
