What's not to love about the dual-probe wireless ThermoPro TP20 Food Thermometer You can monitor what you're cooking and you can also program with presets to monitor your oven or grill's internal temperature for a perfectly balanced cooking temperature. All this can be done remotely while cooking, with no room for errors. I was able to slow cook a pork soulder at the perfect temperature. The probes are so simple to use; simply insert into the meat, set the doneness levels and oven temperature, and walk away with no worries, only monitoring The receiver is splash proof and has a large backlit LCD for easy reading and nighttime grilling. I'm looking forward to using it at my next barbecue.

The Duel probes and the accuracy were phenomenal it turns out that the oven thermometer I bought at Walmart was 25 degrees off. This probe is guaranteed to be within 1 degree over under is really nice having two different cuts of meat on another smoking fest because different Meats have to be pulled out of the smoke or different temperatures so I was able to do a brisket and a rib roast at the same time. I really like how when you push any button it gives you the back light so you can see in the dark and it has a very nice range. I had to Smoker my backyard I was in my living room and never had a problem with not getting the temperatures and the warnings. 1/2 the price of the similar Thermoworks remote 2 zone thermometer. This works really well and build quality appears high. 2 zones are essential for low and slow BBQ: one for the grill ambient temperature inside the grill and the other to insert into the meat to track its progress. A brisket smoked using this thermometer turned out really well and educated me that my smoking temperatures in the past have been wayyy off. I'm looking forward to more cooks with this device. The remote unit syncs very quickly with the temperature probe and the connection was stable at 30 feet through a concrete wall. The remote display appears to be updated every 2-3 seconds or so. I'm happy with it so far.

I had another cheap digital thermometer before and wanted something new for two main reasons: being able to measure the grill and meat temperature at the same time (e.g. more than one probe) and being able to monitor the grill from the distance. It happened to me several times to smoke the ribs (4+ hour process) when it was raining outside.TP20 does it all, it was easy to set up and very intuitive to use. I like the thin probes, they are very easy to insert into any kind of meat. I like the fact that I can see the temperature on the transmitter as well - if you are close to the grill but far from the receiver it may be very handy. Controls are easy to use, nice buttons, clear on/off controls. Here are the things that I find a bit problematic, this is why I put 4 ... I like the fact that I can see the temperature on the transmitter as well - if you are close to the grill but far from the receiver it may be very handy. Controls are easy to use, nice buttons, clear on/off controls. Here are the things that I find a bit problematic, this is why I put 4 stars:- I could not find a clear answer anywhere if the transmitter unit is waterproof or not. So I assume it is not, that I need to protect it from the rain.- it took me a while to figure out how to use that bracket, a picture would be nice- I do not like the fact that C/F needs to be switched separately on each unit- the probe connectors may be difficult to push in the sockets. When connecting them for the first time I did not push them far enough, I did not apply enough force- the audio alarm is extremely annoying and loud. I think this is the main issue with this unit. When grilling it is highly unlikely that the temperature reaches the limit and you need to act in seconds. Probably they should have implemented an alarm that first beeps for something like 10 seconds, then stops for a minute or two, then does another bunch of beeps. Otherwise it sounds like a fire alarm ;)
I bought the ThermoPro Tp20 the day before Thanksgiving to smoke a turkey and a ham. I hooked it up Thanksgiving day and the meter was not registering any temperature on 1 0f the probes. The other worked fine and I used it in my turkey. It worked great. I contacted ThermoPro Monday after Thanksgiving and they were super nice and helpful. They told me to email them a copy of my receipt and tell them what was wrong. I sent them the email and they responded the next day that they will be mailing me a new replacement. Three days later I received the new unit and it works great. The reason I went with this meat thermometer was because of the reviews and there great service. I will tell you I haven't had such good service from any company like thermopro. I will buy and ... MoreI bought the ThermoPro Tp20 the day before Thanksgiving to smoke a turkey and a ham. This Thermo Pro TP20 does Everything it says it will do. Would recommend to anyone who is serious about smoking. I did a chicken the other day on a traeger smoker and it was great. I only used one of the 2 available probes and the timer. Stuck the probe in the thickest part of the thigh and under mode, selected chicken, up popped 165 degrees...perfect. But I first wanted to smoke the chicken for 2 hours, so I set the traeger to smoke and set the timer on the thermopro for 2 hours. The alarm sounded after 2 hours and I went back out and turned up the traeger to 225 degrees and went back inside. When the chicken temp reached 165 the alarm sounded again to let me know it was done. I went back out checked it with my instant thermometer and it was done. Took it off the ... Took it off the smoker went inside, and had a great meal. No need to stand around and watch the grill or even open it for that matter. Like I said Love it. If you have a smoker you have to have one.
i am somewhere in between a backyard master and a pit boss. i am tired of constantly opening and closing the grill for an accurate temp reading. this thing is amazing. first off the range is better then the others i have had. i can walk my entire property and still see accurate temps from far away. i can also use this for low temp smoking as it is accurate at lower temps as well. Measure meat temperature precisely in under 2 seconds. Digital display has large numbers which are easy to read at a glanceCompared to other instant read thermometers the sensor is quite close to the end which allows you to easily insert into any section of your of your food. Even opening your smoker every half hour can release valuable heat and affect the cooking process. now i don't have to.
