I already had one. I needed 3 more! Great for maintaining plant health, but also human health! I mean is it really 80 degrees in here, or am I having a hot flash? I wanna know!Store customer service was awful, as not only did the main desk send me to the wrong department, but I ended up touring the whole store, and they’re didn’t even have any. Found it online instead, duh. Why does anyone bother with a store anymore. Waste of my time.

A Useful Tool

I only received this item this morning, but it began reading the temperature immediately. It's very small but easy to read and will fit anywhere. It has a small stand, so it doesn't have to be mounted. Since I don't own a similar device for comparison, it's difficult to know if the readings are accurate. However, the thermostat in my living room is set on 69 and the ThermPro reading is 68.4 F, which is very close. The humidity reading is currently 40%. If this is accurate, I'll be a happy camper. I bought this monitor to measure the humidity in my bedroom, since I began using a warm mist humidifier at night to ease sinus problems caused by dry heat. My goal is to slightly increase the humidity to a comfortable level, but also to keep it at a safe level. Compact and large enough display to read easily

This thermometer is tiny at roughly 2.5 inches wide by 3 inches tall with the display takingup the majority of the space and still very easy to read. A AAA battery is included.As are an instruction manual and a pair of cards to help you register thethermometer for a 3 year warranty and sign up for their "Ambassador" program. There isa slide to open battery compartment on the bottom rear of the thermometer and a buttonnear the top also on the back to switch between F and C.

There was not much difference in the temperature or humidity readings until after I let the shower run for a few minutes with hot water in the bathroom. The unit readings shot up very quickly especially the humidity level which went from the lower 30’s up to 80.After the shower, (HOT WATER RUNNING), was off for about 10 minutes the humidity level went down to 60, which to me means the unit works good enough for the price. This would make sense because, “ humidity levels are increased by the large amount of steam that a hot shower produces, and as the moisture drifts in the air, it makes contact with colder surfaces and creates water droplets.”

Great for the Price

Bought this to monitor temp in baby’s nursery since we live in an old house and the central heating/cooling leaves something to be desired. It seems to be pretty accurate, although I would say it takes a decent amount of time for the reading to adjust if you’re moving it to a different room that has a different temperature. It’s pretty small which is nice as it’s not an eyesore but still easy to read (I put a pencil in the picture for size reference). Only thing it’s missing is some kind of back light on the screen to make it readable at night without turning on the light but that’s not a big deal at all, especially for the price of it.

Reliable and easy to read from across the room.

I am fussy about the temperature in my room. I have a heater that will keep my room comfortable in a house where people like to use the air conditioner. So I wanted to make sure that the temperature in my room was set at all times using my heater testing it required accurate information about the true temperature in my room. The humidity also is interesting. I find it to be in sync with my heater.

Thus far, I am really happy with ThermoPro device. It is small & can be tucked away by my plants on my coffee table inconspicuously so I know if I need to turn turn on my humidifier. The readings seem to be accurate, and is an invaluable tool to maintain healthy and comfortable humidity levels for us, my cats and plants. I am planning on purchasing another for the second level of our home. I would definitely recommend this purchase to all, as a home properly humidifier makes it much more comfortable. ThermoPro products have a good reputation, and this product is performing as well as my other ThermoPro device.

Unit failed after 12 days. Bogus readout. See pics

Well, it was great, until it failed sometime last night after just 12 days. Found the digital display squirrely this morning; the various little digital thingies that make up the numbers were either absent here and there, or going on and off on their own. Worked great until it failed. I think it may just be a bad unit---it's digital. Overall, I like it, so I'm gonna try another one and see what happens.

when i inserted the battery the thing read 79°. my thermostat read 71. my meat thermometer reads 72, and my wireless grill thermometer read 71. i almost returned it but just left it sit. it gradually came down. it took about 4-6 hours for it to finally read what the thermostat read. if there are temperature changes in the house don't think this will reflect that any time soon. also makes me question how accurate the humidity is. i would definitely not recommend this. just use a digital meat thermometer. much more accurate. will not purchase again.
