Just what I was looking for! The price is right, was easy to install and set up. I use it to monitor my attic temp and humidity, works perfect. One funny thing though, everytime the temp/humidity updated it would trigger my old door bell chime? It seems the RF signal this unit uses is the same as my old chimes, reall had me fooled for a while, LOL!!! Not a big deal for me since I use a different door chime now (just never disconnected the old RF chimes), so I unplugged the old ones and now its good to go.

Excellent device.

It has been working great for over a month now. I placed the remote outside under the eave of my roof and the master unit inside my garage shop. It lets me know when the outside temperature rises above the inside temperature at which point I can open the big door and take advantage of the natural warmth from outside. Conversely, on hot days, it will let me know when the evening outside air temp drops below the hot inside air whereupon I can open the door and cool the shop off. I had trouble with the unit at first because I was mounting it too firmly against the wall which kept the reset button on the back pressed in. It worked when I took it down but not when I hung it up. I finally figured it out: operator error.

Great unit for the price.

For the price I have nothing bad to say. Pretty easy to read from 6' away. Seems to be accurate compared to my other thermometers. Took right off once the batteries were installed, didn't have to touch a thing. I like the up sweep and down sweep feature and humidity reading, which none of my others have. And the humidity seems to be pretty accurate also. I can't see where anyone would be disappointed with it.

Great...until it wasn't

Loved this thermometer so much that I purchased a 2nd for myself and one for my Dad. Only 1 is still working. My Dad's made it about a year. My one made it about 18 months. I'm not sure how long these are supposed to work, but I think it should be longer than just 12=18 months...I guess I should be happy that mine lasted longer than the other customers who said that their's died in 2 monts...I guess you get what you pay for,,,,,

Gun safe hydrometer

Bought this item to monitor the humidity level in my basement gun safe. I attached the sensor inside the safe, and the main screen panel upstairs by our furnace/AC thermostat. The operators manual inside was OK, however I got online and watched a few informative videos, which better described the functions of the unit. I've only had it for a week but it seems to work great. I could see many uses for this product. I wish it had some type of alarm setting on it. Some of the higher end ones may, but for the price this is great. I have been monitoring the unit with a fluke meter and the temp and humidity seem to be very accurate. You can also purchase separate sensors and sync them to one main panel. You can monitor 3 separate locations at onetime. Hygrometer/water sensor.

We have a place that recently flooded due to a hot water heater failure. I bought this to monitor and water problems. I installed it and my wife tested it by putting a teaspoon of water near one of the sensors. It alerted immediately and notified us on our phone via internet. This one is a WINNER!!

Simple setup, temp and humidity surprising accurate

I purchased two systems. We are using an upstairs and downstairs remote with a single outdoor transmitter. We are saving the other transmitter as a spare. We have a National Weather Service site about 15 miles away. I verified readings against the NWS and our old Davis Weather station. Readings match extremely well. I like the remotes can be used on a desk or wall mounted. Even though the LCD is not backlit the numerals are pretty large and dont need a lot of light to be readable. My only concern is the transmitter battery door. It is screwed down rather than a slide and it does not use metal inserts for the screws. So after numerous battery changes the screws may not fit properly. Currently we are using alkaline batteries in the transmitter, plan on changing them ... MoreI purchased two systems. I like there are no unnecessary bells and whistles, our previous wireless temperature system had a clock that for us was unnecessary and took up valuable screen real estate. All we I want this to do is display outdoor and indoor temperature and humidity. All in all a lot of bang for the buck. Hopefully they will last as long as our previous wireless thermometer.

Smart buy

This purchase was to replace a broken unit from another manufacturer. The display is easy-to-read. Advantage: ThermPro. The sync process with the sending unit was a snap. Advantage: ThermPro. Adding batteries was a snap, too; the instruction manual was clear and easy to follow; the set-up process was easy. Advantage: Therm-Pro, ThermPro, ThermPro. The base station also displays temperature and humidity for the inside and outside. I really like my ThermPro. Smart buy.

easy reading numbers on digital thermometer

I live in the mountains in Arizona, where the summer temps get close to 100 and the winter temps plummet below zero! On my deck is an old fashioned mercury thermometer, placed to be viewable from inside the den. But it's placement also causes a bit of inaccuracy because heat lost from the den affects movement of the mercury! Using the ThermoPro's remote sensor allows me to place it almost 100 feet from the house's possible heat source to get a more accurate outside reading. So now I know whether to put on 4 or 5 layers before going out in the colder months. I have not had the unit for summer use. But having the display unit inside also means no possible glare. Numbers are larger than trying to read the old unit. im really happy with this little thermometer!inside and out, shows humidity and easy set up.i was worried it would be junk, but its not.will likely buy another for my dbedroom!
