I've been looking for a couple of years for the perfect drink container when I am doing yard work. I have over two acres and use a JD 1025R to mow with. The 24oz Thermos is a great size and hold about 1-1/2 typical bottles if water. It seems easy to clean however I am concern about the two rubber gaskets in the lid and whether liquid will get trapped and mildew will form. This seems to be a typical problem with all reusable cups/bottles. I got this just in time for Snowpocalypse 2021. I lice in south Texas where we dont usually have to deal with that type of weather. I warmed the thermos with hot water from the tap and then filled it will coffee. It stayed hot while playing outside in the snow however I cannot attest to the length of time advertised to keep liquid hot. I always “preheat” the bottle to make sure it will keep things hot for a long time. I dumped out the first batch of water and then added a full container full of hot boiling water and let it sit for 30 hours. I only let it sit that long because I forgot to check at the 24-hour mark. It was still boiling hot!! I am impressed with that! It wont cool down as soon as you close it up to travel. I also tested the ability to keep things cold and did the same thing, I added ice water to cool it down. The container is not the same color as pictured. The whole container is a reddish color. It mentions the reddish color in the description but I thought that was just the cap and inside the cup as pictured.I was very disappointed with the packaging. The thermos was inside one of those padded envelopes and was wrapped in a small amount of bubble wrap. I was sure it would be damaged, but oddly there weren’t any dents on the outside of the thermos and there wasn’t anything rattling inside. A surprise given how poorly it was packaged. Even thought the thermos wasn’t damaged, I would not want to order from the same shipper again.The thermos does keep stuff hot for very long periods of time, which is why I bought it, so I am very pleased with that.
I bought it for my niece who works in a factory. She says she gives it 10 out of 10. She likes that it keeps her 8 cups of coffee hot 'til lunch. It transports well to work. The top cap doubles as a cup for her drink at morning break and lunch. She works in Fargo, ND, so keeping it hot is important in the cold winter. Likes the solid look and construction. Likes that her that her grandpa used to use one like it, hence the old school reference. He is no longer with us and he passed just before she turned three. People look for substance and authenticity. I remember him using one like it as a lumberjack and sitting out in the woods watching him work as a little 5-6 yr old. His had a dent in it, but it still worked. Keep making solid products!
