Great videos!Physical improvements required:Single wire connection to the front camera with 3 “pigtails”! This way the individual power, battery and rear connections can all be hidden in the headliner with a single wire to the camera. In fact please make a “dongle” for the current U3000 and ship it to me so I can “clean up” the install! Staring at 3 wires and the required loop because of the long USB connector is “sub optimal”. The power and battery connections are right angle connections which makes the issue worse.Connection to the rear camera should be on top/back so I do not need to see the side cable loop in my rear view mirror.Software is not bad but each setting requires a detailed explanation that is NOT currently in the manual. DashCam Store is great fast shipping. Good price product as advertised. Just not that happy with the ThinkWare U3000The camera and dash camera good but the app interface is horrible. Simply terrible.Should of read more reviews. Was excited about the OBD2 port plugin that part of it was simple.

I bought a U3000 because I wanted the one of the best on the market with the new generation STARVIS 2 sensor.First of all, this Dashcam is smaller than I thought when I opened the package and It fit easily behind your mirror. I am really surprised about video 4K quality for sure, but I notice this Dashcam power consumption is very, very low in parking mode! With PowerCell8 dedicated battery pack 7500mAh, this Dashcam can be powered 8 days in radar parking mode! Amazing! Also there is a lot of settings you can adjust in fonction of your car, your set-up and your needs.App on phone is fast, no issues, you can see and download your video easily, also computer App works fine, It's just perfect!
I bought this unit roughly a month ago and it has worked flawlessly so far. The video is clear as a bell, and the app works just fine for me. I am using a Samsung Note 10+ if that matters. This is not to dismiss other reviewers because I don't know the problems they are having. I can only give my take on my experience with it. I am very satisfied with it so far. I will be buying the rear camera next month. I had to secure a place to mount it. My 2015 Toyota 4Runner has a back window that rolls down, so I had to make sure I could secure a mounting point before I bought it, since I couldn't mount it on the rear glass.
Nothing but trouble with this unit and company. They sent a defective unit and it's been a month of the run around. I spent over an hour on the phone with customer service and the call went nowhere. Customer service is difficult and bot helpful. They don't want to help me fix the issue. I'm supposed to pay to have it Uninstaller and reinstalled, which is going to cost more than the unit itself. The app barely works, the extended battery doesn't last. Trash product.
The system works really well, despite poor support. However, the rear radar simply doesn’t work. Others on YouTube have this issue too. I would hold out until they fix the kinks — support is not helpful and the product has a few critical bugs.
After a few weeks of use, disappointed with the rear camera not recording in parking mode. Also the road safety features work inconsistently. It works at best 10% of the time. The only ones that do work are FCWS and LDWS when they want to.
I can't possibly be the first customer to receive an unexpected bill from FedEx a couple weeks after my purchase with blackboxmycar.com -it seems like FedEx is in a "gotcha" business where you're pretty much FORCED to pay them or face collections. -maybe I wouldn't have been billed by FedEx if my order was broken in half- effectively lowering the total purchase price into two separate invoices... something blackboxmycar.com did not suggest or recommend. Leading up to this unpleasant unexpected billing surprise I had glowing review for blackboxmycar.com that feeling is gone. I would recommend them under pretense that you could be in for a similar surprise. I would be very hesitant and extremely cautious of doing business with them again.

The F800Pro I purchased a few years ago for my wife’s SUV had the rear camera installed upside down … it wasn’t an issue then because the settings interface allowed the image to be inverted. Not so with the new and improved U3000. Despite having a setting that purportedly “enables” inverting the image, it does not. I had to build a special bracket to mount the rear camera “right side up,” and despite that, the rear camera still manages to cut off some of the rear image because the camera lens is not fully adjustable. So much for a $500 upgrade. What’s the “Enable” inverted camera setting for anyway?
