I've got a very complex racing wheel and pedal set for my Oculus system, but when I picked up Star Wars Squadrons for my Xbox, I wouldn't even play it since controlling with the Xbox controller was awful. This product is absolute garbage. Seems great for 1st 3 months, and then it becomes worthless. I’d expect a little more for the price. Thinking maybe a fluke I got a second one being rated so well. Same thing within 3 months. This time I was able to return and replace. Same thing another 3 months later. Wow. Cannot be a coincidence. Not sure how this is rated so well as it seems like a con.What’s wrong with it? At about that 3 month mark flight control starts to produce a slight drift becoming more pronounced. Purchased for PC. Feels solid, especially if you don’t death grip the controls. A little tough to get working sometimes depending on what you are playing. Works great in Elite Dangerous and Star Wars: Squadrons (although I’m not sure if anyone even plays the later, but the campaign is fun). Putting the throttle and stick on either side of my ten-key-less keyboard is about the perfect spacing, and helps them stay planted. Look for an open-box deal on one of these.
Got this controller on sale and thus far I'm very happy with it. I've never used a HOTAS before, so my opinion is lacking experience with similar HOTAS controllers. I've only used it in MS Flight Simulator on Xbox and PC for a few hours so far, but it's a huge improvement over using an Xbox controller and keyboard. Flying is much easier and much more enjoyable now. The controller feels well built, it's sturdy, and the buttons and stick provide satisfying tactile feedback. I especially like that I can switch between Xbox or PC at the flick of a switch. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to try flight simulation on a budget before investing in higher grade controls.
NOTE: I purchased the T Flight HOTAS 4, NOT the HOTAS X. It is the Playstation 4 compatible version which is almost identical in every way, they are effectively the same product when used with a PC (which is the only way I have used it). After only a week or so of use I experienced major issues. The big problem is that it often just does not work as intended, and the troubles usually get worse with use.I'd recommend finding something a little more high quality. This may seem like a good cheap HOTAS but for something this niche, 'good' and 'cheap' don't really go together.

There is no tactility to using it, just a slight feeling of friction so it doesn't flop around everywhere.Thrustmaster's own support for this product is also patchy at best. You have one driver to install that was last updated a couple years ago, this software only allows you to view a live input report; no calibration or fine tuning software.Overall it's not downright bad; when it works properly it's actually quite precise and natural feeling, it just has major, consistent issues that get in the way of fully enjoying the time I spend using it. I can't recommend it when there are other HOTAS systems with better build quality, custom mapping and calibration software, good customer support, etc, etc, etc, all within a similar price range.If I were in the market again, I'd probably step up and pay an extra $50 or so to get something in a higher bracket of quality.

However, I recently bought the Xbox Series X to play Microsoft Flight Simulator and the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro model was not compatible with the system. As a result, I purchased this Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas One Xbox model, and it works great! It does cost twice as much as the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick, but it is indeed compatible and works perfectly with the Xbox Series X while playing Microsoft Flight Simulator.
