Thrustmaster TS-PC Racer Ferrari 488 Challenge Edition Racing Wheel

This is so much better than the t300 and lower priced units. The 40watt belt system is strong enough for me. The unit feels great and is probably one is the best products prior to moving up to direct drive systems.

Pros: really responsive wheel and good FFBCons: in Advanced mode the Radio button press and the Scroll button perform the same function with no way to rebind them separately. (7 on features)The fixing of the wheel to the base.. a screw literally a screw could have been a lot better as its not exactly a good way to do it.It's why i only give it a 6 on Build Quality.

Excellent FFB Wheel

I upgraded from a Fanatec Porsche GT2 which was getting a little long in the tooth and this Thrustmaster proved to be a very big step up. The feedback forces are very strong, much stronger than the GT2 ever was, while still retaining the finer road details. The wheel itself is extremely comfortable and features and useful array of buttons, 4 way hats and some rotational knobs. There's even a very nice LED RPM gauge.Setting up was very easy as the wheel itself attaches via a (sort of) quick release mechanism which also features a restraining screw. Worth noting that the firmware is very out of date and does require updating. The only real things that let it down are the feeling of the buttons - other than that this is almost exactly the same as the current CSL Elite wheel which retails for over 100 more and you have to buy it from Germany.I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking to upgrade from an old Fanatec wheel or any Logitech wheel like the G27 etc.

Pros: Although it's only a 50% increase in strength over my previous T300. It makes a huge difference. The feeling from the force feedback is worth the extra if you are looking for a good wheel. On a semi budget.Cons: It is a bit pricey. I'm not a huge fan of the wheel that came with it. But it's compatible with my previous rims.

Pros: Great force feedback and love the ferrari rim with rev lights.Alcantara feels so nice.Also the rim being full size is nice.Cons: The thrustmaster attachment system for the rim to attach could be done better as it doesn't seem very robust but it works. Also enables me to swap other rims if i want to.

Pros: This wheel is an excellent piece of kit, well made with a very comfortable wheel of a good size. The force feedback is very strong with lots of detail.Cons: As the wheel is a replica, the buttons are laid out as they would be on the real wheel, however this makes it very difficult to know which button is which whilst setting it up. The numbering order of the buttons is very random! Also the rotating switches that would be very handy for constantly variable settings such as traction control or brake bias aren't actually separate controls but use the same button map, slightly odd and makes them not very useful. Solid Wheel with a comfortable grip!

This is the second wheel I've ever used with the first one being over a decade old. The tech has com a long way! It's well built - meaning it has some weight to it. For me Weight = Quality.It's a belt drive wheel which puts it force quality wise above a gear driven wheel and just below a direct drive wheel. I did a lot of research on these and this was the best bang for the buck in my opinion.Keep in mind that this is only PC supported so if you're a console racer you'll need one of the other models.If you decide to purchase this one you won't be disappointed!

Pros: A great wheel probably the best non direct drive wheel available, It is a upgrade over my T300 the TS-PC is almost like its stronger yet more refined brother who is a little better at everything but definitely has the same DNA. Was it a necessity? no probably not! Does it make me faster? again no not really, maybe more consistent It would not be worth it over the T300 for most people. But not everyone is most people I wanted to level up my experience but stay in the Thrustmaster ecosystem. It is a good strong responsive base unit and the 32cm replica Ferrari wheel does really help with immersion especially in road cars. Thrustmaster 488 Challenge

This is an excellent upgrade from a T500RS or T300RS. Faster response and more fidelity than the T500RS. More power than the T300RS. The 488 Challenge wheel uses the same Alcantara as the original Sabelt wheel. It is sourced from the same factory making this one of the most immersive sim wheels on the market.
