I tried this filter with different focal length lenses-28mm, 50mm, 105, and 200mm. The effect is almost non existent at all the focal lengths I tried. I have the Tiffen Soft FX2 and it's much better. The FX2 has a softening effect, but not very strong. I should have bought FX2 and FX3 instead of FX1 and FX2.
