I'd like to give this 5 stars as it cooks rice beautifully, and has tons of functions for different types of rice and other foods. I have been especially impressed with the brown GABA rice setting, which makes easily the best brown rice I've ever eaten (though it takes almost 5 hours!), and I've even made a perfectly baked sponge cake in it.The one thing I wasn't overly happy with is the pot coating. All of the marketing I found online goes on about the multi-layered ceramic pot, which appealed to me as I was replacing an old rice cooker with a heavily scratched pot, and I was concerned about the potential toxicity of the pot coating. Only when I opened the box and read the manual did I learn that the pot has a flurocarbon resin coating. Rice comes out perfect, never underdone or overcooked and never burnt. The cooker never boils over or spatters liquid on the table. The enameled pot is very easy to clean. This is the best domestic rice cooker I have ever used.
