My TM5 Airflo succumbed to a combination of weakening with age, wear and an epic struggle with a wayward bramble hedge ... I was most disappointed as it had become a piece of me. I was encouraged to look into the lifetime warranty - Tilley couldn't have been more helpful and offered a replacement. An exact match wasn't available so I opted for the T5 Cotton Duck instead. Slightly stiffer and heavier weight that the Airflo, it should hopefully survive the rigours I present it with. The hat is comfortable, stays on in the wind and protects the balding bonce from the sun. I couldn't be happier with both the hat and the service given. I'll be more than pleased to give a long term performance review from under its well-worn brim in another ten years :-)

I didn't pay full price for this hat. I found it brand new still in the packaging with the manual at a thrift store for $7-US nearly 12 years ago. It is my favorite hat ever. I will get another one if this one ever wears out, but it's tough as nails. Superior craftsmanship. Do buy this hat. Its worth every penny of the price listed above.

I have several Tilley hats and the T5 Cotton Duck Hat is my favorite. The hat is well made and the cotton duck material appears to be very durable. Fit was consistent with the sizing provided by Tilley. New the material is stiff. After washing, the material soften up nicely. This is my go to hat. It has been great in the fall and winter weather. Not sure how it will do in the heat and humidit of southern USA. I have a LTM5 Airflo hat if this hat is too hot. Ordered from Tilley. Service and delivery was great especially considering it was ordered during the Covid-19 pandemic. I recommend this hat.
This is (possibly) my eighth Tilley, all different from each other, - but this is one is special to me. On a recent trip to start a fortnights sailing in The Sporades, Greece, I managed to leave my hat behind after a brief stop around the middle of a four hour bus ride from Athens airport to the island of Evia (recently in the news - wild fires and a crashed plane) for all the wrong reasons. This was a newish T5 with money tucked away in the crown, but no one seemed to have spotted it. A fortnight in the sun without the hat proved to be still enjoyable, but the tops of my ears suffered without the protection of the brim and the sense of shaded eyes was missing. Im heading out there again in September - looking after this Tilley to avoid any chance of a repeat!
I now have 3 Tilley hats. I really like them. Comfortable and hard wearing. I live in a windy part of the world so I buy a size that initially pinches my head ever so slightly, but after the first few wears it relaxes a bit and holds comfortably to my head without being easily blown off. (It does have tuckaway straps for use in very windy conditions)
Had one of these for many years and its age is beginning to show. Am really pleased to have been able to get a new one. Great sun and rain protection. Recommend for all uk conditions, great product.
Iāve had one before and the build quality is second to none. Fancied the T5 with the curved brim this time and couldnāt find one, even at Tilley direct. Came across one at Allweathers and the price was very competitive. Very fast delivery too.
