Bought to replace a pair of Head walking / hiking boots that I've had for nearly 20 years & had eventually split after a very hard life. The Head boots were a great favourite as they were extremely comfortable. I had been drawn to these Timberland Walking Boots because of the many customer reviews of how comfy & trusted they were. Proof in the pudding is how comfortable they were when I first put them on, which I had not expected. I hope these last half the time of my previous boots and I will be extremely happy. Now planning a few shorts walks to see how much breaking in these boots need. Great price via Uttings online.

Look smart, feel great from the first wearing-light rubbing on the left heel sorted out by one day’s Compeed use.Flexible sole that also protects well from sharp flints. I’ll happily trade the reported rapid sole wear for great grip. My Brashers are 12 years old now and the sole is only lightly worn but the grip in the wet was dangerously low so I associate hard sole with insecurity on wet surfaces. The sizing was spot on for me. I take 11uk in shoes and 11 fitted well.I tried 11or 12 different brands of boot and was getting a bit despondent before a friend recommended Timberland for comfort and fit. I’d always thought of them as solely (sorry) fashion orientated but have changed my mind now. Early days but I think that these boots are destined to become reliable ... MoreLook smart, feel great from the first wearing-light rubbing on the left heel sorted out by one day’s Compeed use.Flexible sole that also protects well from sharp flints. Excellent boots.

Good fit and really comfortable, They've already been tested on a 10+ mile trek and i'm happy to report there's no wear and tear on the boots and no blisters on my feet. Hard wearing yet supremely comfortable, don't be put off by the price tag, i've always found with good hiking boots, you get what you pay for and i can see these boots standing the test of time. Very happy indeed.

Leaked immediately due to poor manufacturing.

This is a replacement of an older pair of identical boots tyaht have served me really well for year. As soon as I stepped in water my foot got wet. On inspection, the tongue of the new boots is unattached at the sides to the main body of the boot unlike the original waterproof pair. So as soon as any water gets up to the bottom of the laces the water pours in. They must have saved about 5p on materials and made the boots completely useless in doing so. I only noticed this on the first day of a walking holiday so I had 14 days to contemplate how totally thoughtless of Timberland to have made such a change.

One of the very best bucks down hiking boots available
19 October 2018

Just got my third pair. The first pair I bought in the mid 1980's. The first two lasted a decade. The second pair I just Shoe Gooed and they will have at least another winter and year left. apply a slow, dedicated, break in. Leave enough room for thick socks or a second insert. A better walking boot than a daily work boot, but that's just my opinion. For work I like a boot that cinches more snug at the top. This boot offers the lower shin some ease when hiking; especially on an upward slope.

Poor quality boots
26 October 2024

I risked buying these boots as they were on a deal. All in I paid £125.00 and expected a much higher quality boot in this price range. Out the box they felt thin and lacking support, the tongue is huge and padded lending itself to assisting this laces needing retightening throughout a walk / hike. I’ve had other boots that have been cheaper and more expensive including Meindl. At close to what you can pay for an excellent boot with Gore-tex, spend it elsewhere. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and walked in them but they’ve been a huge regret, feet feel damp from a stroll on a dewy riverbank. Don’t get caught out of pocket like I have. Wish I’d sent them straight back. This isn’t a reflection on Very, it’s the product.

Really happy
20 December 2023

Been checking these boots for some years now. Tried them on 3 years ago at a Timberland store. Loved how comfortable they felt, but couldn't force myself to spend the 180€ they were asking for them, and still are. Been checking for promotions ever since but to no avail. Until I found them here, 3 week ago. Pulled the trigger and couldn't be happier. Probably the most well spent money EVER, on shoes.

Sold me a pair of used shoes.

So I ordered these boots for my brother in law for Christmas and When they arrived soon as I opened them u could tell right away that someone bought them and took them back. Not only is there scuff marks and blemishes on both boots but therr was no paper in the boots which is a clear sign of someone reboxing them but also there is some grease like substance on the shoe divider. So needless to say I won’t be ordering from ur store anymore. Especially since when I got them I called and spoke to a supervisor who basically said well we can give u a 10 percent off discount if u still wanna keep them or u can return them. Uh yeah thanks but no thanks. 10 percent 3 days until Christmas and now I had to go and find a totally diff gift 3 days till Christmas because of ur ... MoreSo I ordered these boots for my brother in law for Christmas and When they arrived soon as I opened them u could tell right away that someone bought them and took them back. If it wasn’t the holidays and I wasn’t so busy I already told them that I was gonna use my resources of all my million social media followers on each site to let them know that jimmy jazz sells used shoes and when I called to let them know last person said well it’s not are problem. Oh really. Well maybe I should make it ur problem. Well anyways figure hopefully who reads these has a lil more knowledge and can teach there employees what not to say and do. Thanks for ur time. Timberland Euro hike wearer for 25+ years
25 July 2024

I have owned over 30 pairs of these boots because they are so comfortable for work, play and everyday wear. They are durable. I rotate them from "dress" to everyday to work boots throughout their life and just love to wear them.
