You may also need to go over some stained areas multiple times, but you will notice it gets a little cleaner with each pass.The cleaner tells you when the clean tank is empty, and it automatically shuts off when the dirty tank is full. It does this with a robotic voice, and there is also a large screen with all the information you need, including any quick fixes you might need to make so you can go back to cleaning. It's simple to use, so there's no worries there, and it comes with a good instruction manual.It's a bit lighter than other carpet cleaners we've used, but still hard work. Though I suppose that depends on how bad your carpets are and how much floor space you have.This would probably work best in houses with pets, or plenty of wine spillage. For the record, it's actually quite good at removing old carpet stains, which is great.We have a thicker pile in the bedroom, by the way, and it didn't work as well in there. It made the pile too wet, and didn't dry it terribly well, so that stayed damp for hours. It works better on standard carpets.So, all in all, it's pretty good but it's probably not worth the money. Oh! You can also connect it to an app, but we didn't try that, so I can't comment on its usefulness. But if you like apps, this has one.Re-reading this it all sounds quite lukewarm which is probably about right. It wasn't terrible by any means, but given the cost, I expected more. It feels fancy, and has the bells and whistles, and I think I would have preferred something a little more analogue.

(a 500ml bottle of detergent being in one sealed bag, which is entirely justifiable, no one wants a bust bottle of detergent all over a new machine!)One assembled two capfuls of the detergent are needed in the top water tank and then top it up with water.Then plug it in and press the plate at the back to pull the handle back before powering on.The machine is reasonably quiet in operation while you push it forward with the trigger on the handle pulled to spray the clean water / detergent mix into the carpet, then let go and pull back slowly.Repeat this cycle overlapping each pass and returning to your start point as if mowing a lawn.In this instance I was cleaning a 100% Wool Wilton woven Super Keshan rug 160cm x 230cm (4m2)This rug is over 15 years old and is one of the best machine-made rugs ever produced in Belgium, it has been regularly vacuumed but up until today never washed in our, we like to think, clean family home.Before I started, I would have said it didn't really need washing because wool rugs of this quality naturally shed most of the dirt with the pile when they are properly vacuumed with a good quality upright.Suffice to say, I was wrong, and it looks spectacularly different now to what it did this morning.I used half a tank of water while cleaning this rug, which would mean a similarly soiled 4m x 4m room could potentially need 2 tankful's and 4 capfuls of detergent to clean.In fairness this was an extreme test but it did show that the combination of the detergent / water / beater bar and suction did a superb job of grooming the pile and removing the dirt from a close, luxury pile carpet with a pile height of 9mm.Suffice to say I am very happy with the result, so much so I shall be retaining this machine.The rug was dry within half an hour of vacuuming it because I made a second overlapped pass over the whole rug without the water being applied, this machine actually expels hot air from the motor directly down into the pile to help speed up the drying process, which is so clever I can't understand why they don't all do this?The rug is now just as bright when we first got it, I shall not be leaving it so long before I do this again!!This machine is easy enough to take apart after using to clean and keep it in tip top condition, something you should do with any wet and dry cleaner.I am not wild about the tiny square filter that sits in the base of the machine that has to be cleaned after every use. Primarily because I am afraid it would be very easy to lose, thankfully a spare is included.Also I would strongly urge you to stick with the manufacturers own carpet deodorizing and cleaning solution.This is because it is made specifically to be used in this machine and unlike many other products on the market only a very small amount is needed, whatever you do, do not be tempted to add extra for any reason.Even if you believe your carpet is especially dirty and could do with more you would be wrong to do so.In the past some of the best-known carpet cleaning products had an optical brightener element to them which was there to make the carpets look especially clean when you had washed them, however they often left a residue that would build up over time potentially even damaging the pile of the carpet and certainly resulting in you needing to wash them more often.The primary cause of this was simple over application, if you have ever had to use anti-foam when washing a carpet, it was only because you used too much last time and didn't properly remove it!The ingredients in the supplier's own cleaning solution do not appear to include any such nasties.You will only find it on amazon and at ?29 per litre and while I wouldn't call it cheap, the 500ml that comes with the machine should be enough to wash any house full of carpet, which wouldn't need repeating for several weeks if not months, giving you plenty of time to get some more in preparation.With any luck, putting you name down for price updates with camelcamelcamel will help with that!On a final note, if your carpet is a loop pile, Berber or natural sisal or seagrass do not buy this or any other machine with a beater bar.They are all incompatible with loop pile carpets and will simply damage them over time.Ha...

I love the reminders when it's time to add clean water with tineco cleaner(2 cups of the solution with water) or when it's time to clean the nasty, dirty water. The dirty water became a fascinating thing for my boys to see how dirty the water is which equates to how dirty our carpet was. Not to mention my middle son and I breathe much better, my husband is raving about how nice our house smells now(thanks to Tineco solution). It's very easy to connect to Tineco application.You can adjust the volume through the app. You can also change the language to German, Spanish, French, and English if you prefer something different. It would be great to see in Russian, Ukrainian and few other languages that are a lot more common. But not a deal breaker.It also comes with a cord to clean the staircase or couches/upholstery. Super convenient, however it doesn't come with a storage bag to keep the used cord or accessories. Instead on instructions it's asking me to place it in a shipping plastic bag. I hate carpets and rugs because I hate how dirty they get and the fact that you can never get them clean until Tineco came around.having tried every rug washer out there, I can confidently say -this one is awesome. I also own Hoover Smart Wash carpet cleaner. Head to head comparison - Tineco wins hands down.- it tells you when your missed a spot on your dirty rug- I like the detection feature- it works although not until after a few passes and your rug is saturated enough for the machine to recognize the grime. Pro-tip go slow and watch the grime circle- when it turns from red to blue- you are good.- it gets the grime out and does so efficiently. I also own Hoover Smart Wash carpet cleaner. Head to head comparison - Tineco wins hands down.- it tells you when your missed a spot on your dirty rug- I like the detection feature- it works although not until after a few passes and your rug is saturated enough for the machine to recognize the grime. Pro-tip go slow and watch the grime circle- when it turns from red to blue- you are good.- it gets the grime out and does so efficiently. It took care of the stains that my other cleaners left behind no spot treatments or anything else needed prior to.- I have 3 very hairy dogs and it had no problem with the hair- the dirty water tank removal and replacement is a snap- the machine tells you when its out of water, dirty tank is full, and what mode you are in - volume is a little loud - but its because it wants you to hear it over the running machine. You can also just cancel voice prompts.- I love the dry cycle - for once when you are done the rugs are actually dry enough to walk with your socks on and not get wet.There is nothing I dont like about this machine. Its lightweight, powerful, and easy to use.

Then this may take some of the strain out of bringing them back to a cleaner state.Though don't go expecting miracles as there is only so much a cleaner can do
