I'm the mother of an attentive, happy, 4-month old baby boy. I'm also a working mom so there are many times, especially mornings, that I rely on age-appropriate toys to keep my little guy entertained while I prepare for the day. Unfortunately, my son was not very interested in the attachments to the activity gym. He seemed to be drawn to one of them (the fox that crinkles when handled) and would only play with that specific piece for a short time. During tummy time, the mirror attachment kept him occupied for a short time but he was not interested in the book attachment or other features of the mat. We've tried to use this gym for a couple of weeks now, but switched it out with his old colorful activity gym and he is definitely more engaged with it! Perhaps this activity mat would work well with younger babies who are drawn to the stark, black and white images. It is very handy to have the ability to rearrange the arches while you are playing with your baby or trying to remove them from the activity mat. As I mentioned previously, I was so impressed with the design of this activity gym that I was disappointed when my son didn't enjoy it!

Our little guy loved this! Similar to other reviews when it came time for washing the snaps are impossible to unsnap. Successfully unsnapped once for a wash, but it was a challenge. I was using all sorts of things to get leverage between the snaps. When our little guy peed on this the other day, I tried to unsnap again, successful with 3, and the last one ripped through the fabric. We can no longer use this, as the arm will not secure into the mat. I did reach out to the manufacturer and they are sending me a replacement.One other point of note, the material of the mat is very slick and he slid around quite a bit, requiring a lot of repositioning during play time.

My baby will chatter constantly at the characters and I like that the flexibility of the arches let's him pull the toys to him when he grabs them.I would absolutely buy this again (and actually wish I wouldn't have waited until he was 3 months to do so) and would highly recommend it to others. I plan on purchasing the jumper play seat in another month or so when he's ready to sit!

I bought this for my 9-week old grandson who was just doing a little tummy time for exercise each day. He interacted with it with grins, kicking and moving his little arms. The material of the mat made a nice sound when he moved that he liked. He grinned and was entertained for about 15 mins, before I removed him. Made well with high contrasts pieces, very secure when it's assembled. The pieces can be arranged in any manner, or removed. The musical components are not annoying. I do wish it came a carrying bag for traveling, but fits well in a pillow case. I highly recommend it and will buy it for baby gifts from now on.

Plus, it has some cute features like an attachable teether, a crinkly flap, some tags and soft textured area....all perfect for stimulating my baby’s senses. 5. The cross bars can adjust to be angled at different heights to better grow with my little one as they get bigger...genius! 6. Lastly, the plastic pieces that the toys can attach to overhead are actually moveable and can slide along the cross bars so you can change their positions depending on your baby’s positions...especially tummy time versus on their back time. This is definitely one of my favorite features! Plus, the plastic clips seem very durable so I’m not so worried about my little one tearing fabric-type hooks as they get stronger; which is the unfortunate case with some of the other brands.I seriously tried to find a con to balance the above pros of this product, but I am struggling to come up with one! The only one I can think of is that it doesn’t include a toy that lights up, which is not a big deal for me since we have so many other toys around that do light up. As a mom of two, I believe this is the best activity mat out there on the market right now! I haven’t used it without the arches yet, but could see how it would be versatile as just a simple play mat in the future too. Really good quality. The mat part is much thicker compared to the one I had with my first baby and there wasn’t much difference in price so I definitely think it’s worth the money, the little toys are lovely and baby is obsessed with the little black and white pictures. You can also move all the dangly toys where ever so that they’re in reach even for small babies. There’s so much choice these days for playmates/gyms but I’m really glad we chose this one!

I like that there are sensory items on the mat and included in the toys that baby can test out for himself - he loves the crunchy tail on "Christopher" one of the hanging animals and attempts to grab the mobile constantly. The only item that has not really caught his interest is the little book that connects to the mat but, of course, that could develop. The black and white contrast I believe is great for babies visually but it's nice to have the bits of color included. This activity gym is lightweight and easy to relocate as it holds its form - I just grab it by its arches and place it in another room. I do like how the arches can slide more to one side as other activity gyms I end up awkwardly pulling baby off of. We have not tried the gym without the arches as baby really enjoys the items hanging but they are easy to put up (though we did think we had connected it incorrectly at first due to the twist it has). Lastly, and high up on my list, is that it is machine washable :).
I received this for my baby shower and I wish I would have chosen a different one for my registry. The snaps that hold the bars on are IMPOSSIBLE to unsnap. You can’t get your fingers in the right position to unsnap them so that you can wash the mat because they are located in a pocket that JUST fits the end of the bars. They’re designed in a way that not even the Incredible Hulk could separate them. Or daughter is not even here yet and already one of the snaps is broken from trying to remove the bars to wash the mat. We spent an hour using several different tools trying to separate the broken snap so that we could attempt to fix it. We will be returning this and purchasing a different activity gym. So disappointing…

And, we found that the star toy and pattern on the mat were great for tummy time, with or without the arches. We have been able to use some other activity mats, mostly passed down from friends, but the Tiny Love Magical Tales Gymini is our LO's fave. She and I both found that the mat was perfect for her physical, visual, and auditory development. Finally, in addition to my LO loving this mat, I really appreciated that the mat is sleek and stylish. Of course our house has been taken over by toys and baby items, but it's nice to have something so visually appealing, plus it's great for pics to post on social media!
Bought this for our new born and he has enjoyed lying on this mat since he was 3 days old. He’s been kicking the musical character and hitting the wind chime since week 2. The black and white theme is perfect for his stage of development. Moving the characters and adapting the frame is a great touch and we even put the removable ‘book’ in the car tied across the seatbelts in front of his car seat. So multi functional too- definitely worth the expense for this floor mat.Mummy, Daddy and Max absolutely love it!
