The overall appearance is simple and high-quality, the many preset buttons as well as the large multi-function knob on the top have disappeared compared to the old design. All functions are now controlled via the two remaining knobs on the front. The left knob turns the radio on and off with a long press, a short press switches the source and the rotary movement affects the volume. The right knob is quite similar: turn for a manual station setting, short press to enter the preset menu of stored radio stations and a long press starts the automatic station search. Many other functions concerning the display settings, time/alarm as well as sound settings can be made with the included remote control. In addition, the remote control naturally also controls the basic functions that can be set with the two switches on the device. The integrated rechargeable battery ensures particularly good sound even when you're on the road. The charging function integrated in the radio ensures easy charging: Simply plug in the power cord and the battery is automatically charged. Via Bluetooth, you can play your music collection wirelessly from your smartphone or tablet. In mains operation, the adjustable display shows the time in standby and the radio can be used as an alarm clock with two independent wake-up times. An AUX input and a headphone output round off the range of functions of the new PAL+ BT.
