Put my breaker bar on this to get the leverage in the "tight" space & it did the job, crushing the oil filter in the process. Definitely don't use this to fit a new one. Found the 3/8" to 1/2" adapter needed a bit of effort to remove from the tool.

Works well for those hard to get to places. Simply place on top of the oil filter and the mechanism securly grabs the filter with ease. Works for tightening as well; not that is sugested to over tighten oil filterds. Funny about that some of the factory set ones are very hard to remove.

It took a fair bit of fiddling around initially to get it to work. The prongs didn't always purchase onto the filter. Worth buying if used for multiple vehicles with different sizes, otherwise I'd suggest a cap suited to one size.

Bent my standard oil filter tool then the screwdriver trick was more like a can opener. This thing worked straight away. You need to remember clearance is required for your ratchet or breaker bar.
Works as it should.I previously owned a strap and handle oil filter remover, but they mostly slip, and when they do grip, you lose space to move the handle.This wrench type is awesome! You will always have access the the oil filter base, so just add a wrench, with any type of extensions and wobbly bits, it'll get it off no worries!NB: it will only remove, given the physics of how the item works, naturally, you tighten the new filter by hand.
After trying other tools to move a stubborn filter to no success I invested in this tool to use for all my servicing. Older hilux replacing filters every 5000km, this tool is completely necessary for a stress free arvo.
