It was still moisturizing but it felt like how my lips normally would feel without chapstick. 2)As expected, it transferred a little bit onto my mask, didn't survive much eating and drinking throughout the day but that's a given because it's a regular lipstick. 3) It did slightly stain my lips which is expected because it’s a red lipstick. 4) Applying it was a tad bit difficult just because my lips would hit/bump the bottom ridge on the circular casing and I didn't want to screw the lipstick all the way up just to apply it. 5) My lips feel dryer after I took it off :/ I would never have bought this for myself because it’s such a high end luxury makeup product but overall, I did enjoyed this. I probably won’t repurchase but if I were to purchase, I would try a darker color or a nude! Tips: Exfoliate before, moisturize 15- 45 mins before, use a lip liner for crisp clean edges, and/or blot with a paper towel/put loose powder on top to make it last longer

I almost forgot that I had this on when I was eating something and licked my lips before I remembered and I was surprised to see that there was no taste or smudging and the lipstick was still intact on my lips without any wear. it's not budge proof or anything but if you have to gently dab or lick your lips it's not going to disturb the application and that was a huge plus for me because if you don't have it on you for touching up or if you're like me and I just remove my lipstick whenever I eat or drink anything it's nice to not have to worry about it. my lips chap horribly and they peel several times a day because the skin on my lips seems to grow back fast so my lips are always dry and chapped if I don't keep them hydrated and moisturized and I was happy to see that I could wear this and my lips don't dry out and I can get a decent amount of wear time before reapplying it. the coverage goes on sheer at first and is buildable. if you want a longer wear and a more opaque coverage you would have to wear a lip liner with this shade. I like the fact that it's kind of sheer and I don't usually like to bother with wearing lip liners and things because I am a no hassle makeup wearer, I like to just be able to apply and go without a lot of extra steps unless it's for a special occasion. I think I would legitimately consider buying a more everyday type of shade of this because even though it's more on the higher price range than I usually go for I really do like the wear and the formula of this lipstick. for a skin tone reference I usually wear nw25 from mac, I'm a light to medium skin tone, more on the neutral side

I've attached swatches of Scarlet Rouge next to the other reds in my collection for comparison.The packaging is weighty and, in my opinion, beautiful and expensive-looking. I was slightly disappointed to learn that the closure is not magnetic. But it does have a satisfying and secure ?snap.? The larger square base does not fit in my acrylic lip organizer (purchased from Amazon), which is also disappointing since this lipstick packaging is certainly a product I want to display!

Plus it felt so much more comfortable to wear than 95% of the matte lipsticks I’ve tried and that really made a difference to me. I definitely would get this in other colors and I’ve never liked wearing a matte lipstick until I tried this one. I did wish it had a bit more mauve or purple to the color but there are other shades of this brand that I’m sure would do for that. Overall I really like this lipstick not only it’s color but also the formula. If you are considering purchasing this and reading the reviews to help make your decision (like I often do before purchasing makeup I haven’t tried) I highly recommend you get this product. It wont leave you disappointed in the color,the brand,or the formula.The only reason I gave this 4 out of 5 stars is because the lipstick case,and the box are so shiny that when you touch it sometimes you notice fingerprints! But that’s easily fixed by making sure you wipe the case off when you are putting your lipstick away.I hope my review helped inform you about this product and made your ordering/purchasing a bit easier.
