It is very difficult - as is always the case with Tom Ford perfumes - to break the fragrance down into its individual components because they are so well-blended, as is the case here. It's sweet, but not too sweet, it's fruity but only very light, and together with the floral notes it seems fresh and elegant. After some time the vanilla becomes more dominant in the base. But even this is not a despicable vanilla, like in the very close drydowns of some other perfumes, but is slightly ambered, wonderfully creamy and still carries all the spice of the previous course well-bedded in itself. I would characterize the fragrance as spicy-oriental rather than gourmand, but it's up to the individual to decide what to eat... But what sets it apart from many other orientals is that it always retains a certain transparency and never appears sweet, overblown or overcharged. I also think it's a perfume that can be worn all the time: in the morning, at noon, in the evening, at night, in spring, autumn and winter. For this type of perfume, it's quite unusual And last but not least: I actually caught myself putting on this wonderful fragrance just for sleeping. Decadent, I know. but gorgeous! Very refreshing, clean and watery. Light and fresh salty smell of the ocean. Works best in high heat, there's no other season best-suited to wear this. Smell is unisex. I bought it for my husband, but he didn’t like it and it became my go to every day perfume. I work in healthcare, and I think this is amazing perfume for that field. Not overpowering I any way. I would add that smell reminds me on window cleaner at first but after 5 sec it dries down onto your skin and it smells lovely. Longevity is very much like an EDC, 2-3 hrs tops. Silage is a little less than arms-length, this is for the wearer to enjoy moreso than anyone else. Overpriced for the performance, but it is a Tom Ford. The first notes I smell when I spray it on are spicy notes (mainly ginger) and flowery notes (mainly rose). In a weird, but positive, way, the opening also has a sweet gasoline-like undertone to it that makes it smell luxurious. Definitely a unique scent, unlike anything else in my fragrance collection that comprises of mostly blue and fougere fragrances (but I haven’t smelled the original version of Noir Extreme, so I can’t make a comparison to that). This fragrance fades to a beautiful prominently leathery-amber scent that lasts for many hours. In my opinion, this is more of a summer scent, but it can be worn in the winter if you want to bring summer back, or you just want to remember a vacation as you go through your pictures. All of his perfumes alternate in the notes. It never stays on one accord, it goes back-and-forth and in between different notes. It’s mind blowing. I understand why it is at this price point because there was a lot of research and there must be high grade quality ingredients used to make and maintain the scent and the staying power. My favorite perfume lines are Parfums de Marley, La Perla, and now Tom Ford. I’m in love. I thank Tom Ford and his crew you for reviving the memories.

Citrus white floral freshy scent what the slight hint of green soapiness. Contrary to popular consensus, this isn't all that similar to 4711 in my opinion. TFNP is more white floral soapy clean, 4711 is more citrus. What they do both have in common: longevity is close to none! TFNP has a little better performance, but that's like being the tallest kid in kindergarten. I really love the smell but I'm underwhelmed by the performance; not to mention, the ridiculous asking price has me dumbfounded. I'm not sure why they decided to include this in TF's private line. If you want a great alternative for a fraction of the price, try Maison Alhambra's Porto Neroli. It's not only a great clone, but a much better performing fragrance as well.

I will say, going back to the beginning of this review, this is a headier fragrance, it’s not sometime would probably wear everyday. My daily routine includes more of a light/fresh type of scent, but I will definitely wear this for dinners and go out in the evening. The packaging is pretty stunning too, the bottle is made of a very rich deep cocoa colored glass that is dense and heavy, and it’s trimmed in metallic gold. Tom Ford is known for his undeniable level of taste and Noir Extreme is no exception. 5 out of 5, def recommend!

This balances out the overall fragrance for a long lasting/not over-powering smell of spice, wood, and sweet all into one. The pacaging is beautiful and sleek. Love the black and gold. I used this as well as my husband and grandson. When first sprayed I could smell a light powder scent as well as a spicy Woody scent. It smelled different on all three of us but the guys won! It smelled awesome on them. This is an awesome fall fragrance! I would recommend this fragrance by Tom Ford for sure! Now to find my Tom Ford fragrance!
