Tom Ford Oud Wood Eau De Parfum Spray 100 ml

First off this fragrance was given to me in exchange for a fair and honest review from the company Influenster. Tom Ford Noir Extreme came in a classic and sleek looking packaging. It was in a royal looking all gold box with black lettering. When you open the box you will find again a very classy looking black bottle with that gold cap and lettering. I found Noir Extreme to have a sweet and spicy opening. Really powerful cardamom with some vanilla, nutty and kinda milky accord. Might resemble what a Middle Eastern Vanilla Almond Milk would be like. After around 15 minutes the dry down left me with a really smooth, gourmand, vanilla almond milk scent with light spice. After using this fragrance for the lastvweek my final thoughts on TF Noir Extreme is I found it to be a really nice fragrance for the cooler weather months especially later fall. The opening was a little much with so much going on but the drydown was really nice. You can wear it all day but it's probably more suited for the night especially a date night with the silage being the 1-2 ft range and it being a nice sweet and spicy gourmand your date will very much enjoy being next to you! While this won't be in my top personal choices for the fall it most definitely is a great option and I will definitely be wearing this more.

This is not Tobacco Vanille's boozy, sweet vanilla- it is darker and more mature. The first blast was sharp like with most perfumes with oud in them, but very soon after opening it changed to a fantastic, deep, warm, sensual scent. Before the scent got to the dry down part, I got more oud which a bit reminded me of lavender. It was masculine, but very lovely. The dry down part is perfect, like the opening - warm, sensual vanilla with tonka and amber. This is definitely something unique, the scent itself gets me to a happy place and I do find it to be very sexy. It stays remarkably close to skin, so would be suited for sensual evenings with two lovers so close to each other that the smell of both skins and Oud wood would blend in a perfect, sensual mix. Sillage goes downhill as time goes by. After 3 hours there is almost nothing on my wrist, but when I inhale deeply I can still feel the scent, although now it's just woody and citrusy. This fragrance belongs in every cologne collection. You get what you are paying for with Tom Ford Oud Wood. t put a smile on my face because it had already been over 11hours since i applied it in the early morning and it still a nice soft warm linger. Not as when its first sprayed, but certainly a nice dry down which was impressive.

This bottle will last a very long time (you don’t need to use much) and I’d rather buy one bottle of this than several other less expensive ones. The spices give a unique (to me) warm smell and while the fragrance is sweet I’d equate it to a gourmet pistachio ice cream where the nuttiness in flavor (here spices) are just as prominent as the sweetness. Also if the note break down of Indian spices with a bit of a creamy background doesn’t sound appeals this may not be for you regardless of quality and I always recommend trying before you buy at this price point. I can’t ignore that level of proof, this is definitely a amazing and surprising fragrance. I will say, going back to the beginning of this review, this is a headier fragrance, it’s not sometime would probably wear everyday. My daily routine includes more of a light/fresh type of scent, but I will definitely wear this for dinners and go out in the evening. The packaging is pretty stunning too, the bottle is made of a very rich deep cocoa colored glass that is dense and heavy, and it’s trimmed in metallic gold. Tom Ford is known for his undeniable level of taste and Noir Extreme is no exception. 5 out of 5, def recommend!

This cologne is filled with rich blend of spicy and citrusy fragrance which comes out as a little less masculine at first but once the smell settles in, it gives away sandalwood and vanilla ember aroma for a creamy, woody finish. This balances out the overall fragrance for a long lasting/not over-powering smell of spice, wood, and sweet all into one. Not my ultimate favorite collection of Tom Ford, but I think it is worth the purchase. It absolutely puzzles me to see so many women refuse to wear it or say they wear it even though it’s “masculine”. It isn’t masculine. It isn’t feminine. That beautiful, vulnerable embrace has no gender. It just is and it is a stunning fragrance. In addition to claims that it’s “for men” I have also seen claims that it fades quickly. To that I will just point out that I have accidentally gotten it onto a sports bra, worn the sports bra to exercise/gotten sweaty, washed the bra in a washing machine, dried in a dryer and two days later when I put on the bra I could clearly and without effort still smell Oud Wood wafting through my shirt. I do think it is extremely easy to get noseblind to this fragrance when wearing it but just because you’re noseblind to it doesn’t mean it’s faded. Other people likely can still smell it.

It's a bit too "mascaline" for me even though it is marketed as neither a man or women's fragrance. It's meant to be enjoyed by any sex, gender or human being! However, I feel like it's geared up to be more of a men's cologne by the look and scent of this fragrance, but that's just my personal opinion. I don't particularly love the way this parfum smells when first sprayed. It has a very strong wood scent, but after it dries down the scent lightens up, becomes calm and smells like incense. Oud Wood is a little heavier of a scent, so it would be more of a fall/winter fragrance. Also, it has a hefty price tag but the ingredients (especially the Oud) are something to keep in mind when considering the cost. Personally my boyfriend will be keeping this one, but I would definitely recommend this Parfum to anyone who loves a good earthy and woodsy higher end fragrance!

You smell the bark of the trees, the smokiness of the fire, an incense burning in the cabin behind you, and the Eastern spices in the Dutch oven that’s cooking your nourishing meal. When I spray Oud Wood Eau De Parfum by Tom Ford, this is the scene I’m thrusted into. Notes of different woods, spices, incense and of course, a more rare fragrance ingredient, Oud are all included in these Parfum. It has a hefty price tag, but the ingredients (especially the Oud) are something to keep in mind when considering the cost.
