This is a unique offering by the Tom Ford Private Blend. The first thing that stands out is the salty/marine notes that instantly arrive upon application. The salt aspect vaguely reminds me of some other offerings that pair salt with vetiver, but I get no vetiver here (none is listed). The seaweed and marine notes are deep and certainly seem to be of high quality - albeit high quality out of the Tom Ford laboratory. But that's okay - Tuscan Leather is a classic and there's certainly nothing natural about that! Oud Minérale has a very oceanic feel to it (not to be confused with "aquatic"). It's a sort of salty, spicy, peppery, seaweed-y, and almost metallic scent. Oud Minérale will feel strangely familiar. I don't get much oud in this one - oud plays a very distant ... It's a sort of salty, spicy, peppery, seaweed-y, and almost metallic scent. Oud Minérale will feel strangely familiar. I don't get much oud in this one - oud plays a very distant role somewhere in the background, and it's more of a polished, clean, transparent oud, not the strong aromatic kind (or the velvety clean and smooth like in Oud Wood). The oceanic vibe is definitely there, front and center. Up-close, if you sniff Oud Minérale on your arm, it has more of that mineral feel to it, as if you were sniffing crushed up quartz and other mineral-rich rocks, on a scorching hot day, baking in the sun all day. That juxtaposition of oceanic, salty/spicy feel, vs crushed hot mineral rocks, is what this fragrance is all about. Not so much about oud. If you like the scent of cold salty ocean-side pier repeatedly sprayed with sea water. Completely devoid of sweetness. It's arid, like salty-dry air near the ocean on low-humidity day, and rather chilling and cold. Very loud and strong, and lasts well over 12 hours on skin - beastly performer! Even when you think the top has settled down and it's not as loud, it comes back to you over and over again, for many hours, and people around you will definitely notice this one many hours after application. I've been told, after 4-5 hours of spraying it on, that it's very strong (I could definitely smell it myself, but it didn't "feel" that strong to me, after being subjected to it for a few hours already). But thankfully it's not cloying. There is a base of woodiness that supports the whole composition. I wouldn't necessarily think I'm smelling oud, but the woods are certainly not run-of-the-mill by any stretch. I also get the pepper that adds to an overall user-friendliness to this otherwise left field offering. Oud Minérale is on one hand not what I expected, but on the other hand - it is pretty true to its name - the mineral portion definitely comes through strongly, especially if you sniff the sprayed area up-close, just don't expect a whole lot of oud. Overall, I'm impressed with this offering. It is not refreshing per se, but it is surprisingly clean in a non-mainstream way. It is truly marine without being aquatic... that is, there is no trace of the headache inducing 1990's aquatics that have become so cliche and cheap-smelling. I need to wear this a bit more to see if I can pick up on some more depth, but on first wearing, i'm impressed and pleased with this offering.

This fragrance has a high concentration of sea notes with aromatic, citrusy and salty base notes. Definitely not an everyday fragrance. You could wear this for almost 2 days straight and it might even stay there even after washing. Performance is that good with just 2 sprays. The scent is so alluring and unique. Highly recommended

This is perfumery at its best. It may not be mass appealing but it’s damn good. Smells like the ocean with sea weed and brine with and added amber and gasoline hints (oud). After the first hour or so it dried to an amber salty sweetness with freshness and sea notes mixed in. I worn this frag until I got sick of it, then came back for More. It’s a gem and if you Can get your hands on it do. It’s an experience.
This is an amazing marine oud perfume. This is perfect for non oud lovers. When i first smelled it, i knew I had to get a bottle of it. It was almost a year later when I bought it but i could always remember how amazing it smelled Definitely very long lasting and can't fault it's projection
The packaging is really nice almost like Apple packaging. The scent and quality of perfume is really strong and versatile. it can be worn all day and stays with you in the room and when you exit the room.
I think this is an excellent cologne. I tried a Tom Ford sample of Oud Wood a while back and loved it. It's really strong. It's also super expensive. I saw this cologne on this site and never smelt it before but wanted to give it a shot. Would recommend. It will stay on you for a while. Not sure about the actual length.
It is a very smooth Oud scent, lasting power is strong, and smells earthy in a different manner than your typical woody/green scents. Almost a clean fresh Oud smell. It's different. Compliments guaranteed. My wife also feels Oud Wood is too strong, however likes Oud Minerale.
This scent is unlike anything that I have come across. I don’t feel that “warm and spicy” gives an accurate description of the fragrance, mainly because it is so dynamic. In a sense, it captures all scent categories in one bottle. The aquatic notes bring freshness, oud brings out wood and I get the faintest floral notes from it as well. I love a scent that defies labeling! I love to cocktail this with Fleur De Portofino (it creates a more masculine version of Soleil Blanc, perfect for summertime). For nighttime I layer it over the Oud Wood Body Oil, which also helps with longevity. Overall, I find this fragrance to be essential in my wardrobe due to its versatility in cocktailing and its ability to stand alone. I’m completely in love!
This perfume lasts forever. You will still smell it when you wake up the next day. Which is great if you love it lol. I get why this is a cult classic, although idk if it smells exactly like the original (probably not). I guess this scent is supposed to be for men, but it's airy enough for women. When it goes on my skin (YMMV) I'm hit with a sharp woodsy scent, but that evaporates quickly. After that it remains a dark aquatic scent. Will absolutely repurchase this. It's got goth mermaid vibes. Or maybe witches casting a spell on the beach at midnight.
