Difference between eau de toilette vs parfum

The parfum has staying power. 1 spray. All day. I have a sensitive nose. If I can strongly smell it, others will, it’s invasive. Perfume is a secret garden and for those closer. The eau de toilette passes as fast as a flush, as the name implies:) at least on my skin, we all have different chemistry, always take reviews with a grain of coffee:) the scent difference:Parfum: more complexe, slight musk, woody citrus, gently muted orange blossoms that lasts. It turns into this lovely symphony.Toilette: ephemeral, light, no musk, no wood, flat, less complexity, slightly more citrusy and after an hour reminds me of some signature boutique hotel scent.Try each one on your arm at your local Sephora. I love this so very much that I also own the 3.4oz Shimmering Body Oil, and of course the mini Shimmering Body Oil which I use for travel and overnight stays! I even have backup bottles so that I don’t ever run the risk of running out! This is absolutely my all time favorite and I’ll never be without it! I very highly recommend this… I even convinced my best friend to get a bottle because even though it’s not her typical kind of fragrance she always thought I smelled so good, and decided she just had to have it especially after trying mine! Don’t pass this one up! If you’re debating then just go for it, you can thank me later!

My new favorite scent

Thank you influenster and Tom Ford for this wonderful opportunity to try Soleil Neige Eau de Parfum. I must say this is a luxurious scented perfume! My husband said it is such a beautiful scent on me. Needless to say he couldn't stop smelling me after the first spray!! It's a sexy musk,with bergamot,carrot seed and Jasmine flower. The packaging is divine!! Contained in a luxe ivory private blend bottle, with a silver lable and metal plaque. It's a sleek architectural look. My overall opinion is this is my new favorite scent, it's sophisticated and lasts all day and night.

I wanted to like this, it just didn't work for me personally. I was expecting it to be sweeter based on reviews but maybe it was reformulated at some point because it starts off beautifully and then goes weird on me. When you first spray, it smells exactly like hot sand and sea salt. Like a warm wind and fresh sel-de-mer, really unique. But the salt and sand note eventually disappears and it turns into this unpleasant ylang ylang solifore with a weird, briny background that I ended up disliking a lot. You know how you have dealbreaker notes in perfumes? Unfortunately, aquatic notes tend to be deal breakers for me because they remind me a little too much of 90's era body sprays and air freshners. I'm not sure how I feel about the scent of Soleil Blanc Shimmering Body Oil from Tom Ford. It is a very strong scent. There is a lot going on with the scent too. It has so many notes that it's hard to pinpoint one in particular. I'm not sure if I smell like a flower, the woods, or like a food item. They meld together with each note trying to overpower the other. It is somewhat overwhelming to the senses. I have also noticed that you can see exactly where you applied this oil. And not due to the glitter. It leaves my skin a brownish color that you visibly see where you have it and where you don't. If you sweat at all, it leaves streaks. The shimmer flecks will also be left on anything that touches your skin. Aerin Hibiscus Palm is straight tropical flowers, so you have to layer it with coconut oil. REPLICA Beach Walk's baby powder note gives me asthma. Eau de Soleil Blanc is fresher with even worse longevity. Why!

This is an absolutely gorgeous, refreshing, classy summer fragrance that lasts like perfumes of old. On my skin it's undoubtedly tuberose, which I adore. I usually don't like tuberose with sweet coconut, but, in this case, it really, really works. The coconut is only slightly sweet. This coconut is not coconut-cream-pie or Paletas de Coco. I keep finding myself experiencing memories of Hawaii, and I realize it's from this fragrance affecting my subconscious imaginings. It smells like a walk in Lahaina, in the early morning; tuberose leis, coconut sunscreen, jasmine blooming in gardens, and benzoin-sands. I have read this described as "powdery", and that puzzles me. Soleil Neige is gloriously powdery, so maybe the two scents get confused. So, this was the last fragrance I tried when I went to Sephora last, and it was the one I was going to get this time for sure.When I try this, I smell a lot of floral, amber and almost a skin scent, which I love, and it makes it different than my other perfumes. wow, summer!

What a perfect summer and business cologne for men! I tried this after the newest Soleil de Feu was, well, a bit to “we’re at the beach” for me, plus, it dropped off fast. Soleil Blanc is a great summer choice - gives smells of classic men’s Imalfi style colognes without too much sweet, or too much citrus. Soleil Blanc has been around a while, but my first time trying it and I’m sold for summer. And a good advisory - for Tom Ford, stick to the prior releases and you won’t go wrong.I highly recommend this for men for summer in general, a light style for business that rivals/beats a classic French cologne, and crosses over as unisex and for women as just a great scent for warmer weather.
