Tom Ford Soleil Blanc Eau De Parfum 50ml Spray

My partner got me a travel size of this for my birthday and I will definitely be getting a larger size once I’m done! This is basically a white musk with florals but with an extra almost alpine clarity that reminds me of sweat and sun and snow. There are some citrus and amber notes that broaden it out and make it less overtly “floral” and “feminine”. This is the type of perfume where, yeah, it has similar notes to a lot of other perfumes but they’re combined here for something very unique. I intentionally wore “Soleil Blanc” for a few days before I wrote this review, because I wanted to give it an honest evaluation and not from one spray to the wrist. My impression was the bouquet of this Tom Ford perfume, with its notes of bergamot, ylang ylang, jasmine, tuberose and coco de mer, takes me more to a Moroccan bazaar than the French Riviera. When she came in I asked her if she liked my new perfume, to which she said she didn’t smell anything. I put on some more, and to my chagrin she said I smelled like something her grandmother would wear. I can’t say I was THAT harsh when smelling the perfume, but I definitely didn’t find it to youthful. As well, I would consider this to be a unisex fragrance, as it is not overtly feminine. It truly took me back to the days of CK1, when the scent could easily be worn by a man or a woman. The bottle “Soleil Blanc” comes in lends itself to that thinking. It could easily sit on a man’s or a woman’s dresser. When I initially saw the bottle, it reminded me of a chess piece. I can’t say I like it as much as my other Tom Ford fragrances, and to me it has more of a Moroccan bent to it than being beachy. I find it is more sophisticated and exotic than playful and carefree...more fall/winter than summer. And the lack of staying power is a huge detriment to me. I’m going to try it again in December or January, and see if I like it better than I do right now. That it is, as I presume, more of a cold weather fragrance that will lend itself to more longevity and intensity.

I've spent hours on Sephora and Ulta trying to find a "summery" perfume scent for this year. I even went to Sephora to test out Tom Ford's Soleil Blanc and Replica's Beach Walk. I think because I didn't give it more time to dry down or apply it directly to my skin, but I didn't see the hype in those? In a good way, it's like I almost smell beachy sweaty with all of the right kind of beach smells. Like I can imagine myself coming home from the beach all day, taking a shower, and putting this on and smelling the exact same but clean.I've also read somewhere that to get your perfume to last a little longer, you should apply moisturizer and then the perfume? I don't know, try it out! I will definitely be wearing this this summer and am very excited to try new scents from Dossier :) I could never really imagine myself spending so much money on perfume, and this was very doable. Difference between eau de toilette vs parfum

The parfum has staying power. 1 spray. All day. I have a sensitive nose. If I can strongly smell it, others will, it’s invasive. Perfume is a secret garden and for those closer. The eau de toilette passes as fast as a flush, as the name implies:) at least on my skin, we all have different chemistry, always take reviews with a grain of coffee:) the scent difference:Parfum: more complexe, slight musk, woody citrus, gently muted orange blossoms that lasts. It turns into this lovely symphony.Toilette: ephemeral, light, no musk, no wood, flat, less complexity, slightly more citrusy and after an hour reminds me of some signature boutique hotel scent.Try each one on your arm at your local Sephora. Poolside Goddess

I got this in the travel size just to give it a test run and now that it's out it's almost like I crave this scent. It's not like it's the most profound scent ever. Coconut comes through, as well as pistachio. But there's something almost wet about the smell. I can't figure it out. It smells like I just got out of the pool. There's a definite suntan vibe I get from it but there's an almost aquatic hint. Maybe it's the benzoin. It has a great stay power on me and ultimately feels like a luxurious skin scent. It's very sexy and simple.I would recommend trying it out first because I agree with the reviews that it's too simple to merit the price... for me though, I'm just hooked on it and feel like a poolside goddess. I'll be buying the larger bottle soon!

But you probably already know that from the countless reviews confirming the poor longevity and need to learn the hard way. Like touching a hot stove to make sure it's hot, I too purchased this outrageously expensive bottle of nothing hoping the people were wrong. That being said, I live on an island and this would be my signature scent as I believe it to be the best smell of all time. Incredibly sexy, warm sunshine, delicious coconut, smooth white flowers. Also, the coordinating shimmering body oil has the perfect amount of tiny glitter to create a nice sheen on the legs and smells fantastic as you're applying it. Aerin Hibiscus Palm is straight tropical flowers, so you have to layer it with coconut oil. REPLICA Beach Walk's baby powder note gives me asthma. Eau de Soleil Blanc is fresher with even worse longevity. Why!

Im sensitive to smells, so I have to be extra cautious when it comes to these types of products. As far as the fragrance itself, its a softer floral, almost a bit powdery. It would wear and share well during all seasons has a versatile enough profile that all ages and event types could wear this scent. If youre a fan of Dolce Gabbana Light Blue, youll likely love this scent. Im a salon owner and pro MUA and as much as I would love to add this to my kit for regular use, its definitely a product that I would want the client to smell before using. If youre a fan of the scent, I would choose this over even an eau de parfum and would be more practical than a solid. Now when it comes to sparkle... this has it all. Its the most beautiful, glistening golden shimmer. Catching the perfect amount of light without being a preteen, early 2000s body glitter. Layer for more shine and drama or apply a light layer all over for shimmer and added moisture with a beautiful supple skin texture. The oil itself is not colored, so no risk of streaky, orangey residue like other products of comparable price and name recognition. All in all, I think the shine is worth the extra scent, but if youre sensitive like me, it would be worth a trip instore to make sure that the fragrance is something you can handle with an oil at this price point. Bottom line Tom Ford knows how to truly capture the perfect glow and glistening skin, whether youre taking a stroll down a red carpet or the highlight of these covid quarantine days a trip down the produce aisle... beautiful skin is always in style. Unisex but more manly

This is advertised as a unisex scent and I know that it’s a matter of opinion, but it smells incredibly male. It honestly smells like my grandpa but not in the worst way. It definitely leans on the more mature side but it has a lot of potential. I can describe the scent as powdery manly coconut. The coconut is a nice touch and I appreciate that it shines through. I am a woman that likes feminine scents tho so this wasn’t for me. Can’t speak on the similarities between the OG and the dupe bc it was a blind buy. BUT the costumer service is phenomenal! I decided to do exchanges for all my returns and you basically pay a very small difference (mine was 10 bucks) then you ship off free of charge, and select your exchanges!

This is an absolutely gorgeous, refreshing, classy summer fragrance that lasts like perfumes of old. On my skin it's undoubtedly tuberose, which I adore. I usually don't like tuberose with sweet coconut, but, in this case, it really, really works. The coconut is only slightly sweet. This coconut is not coconut-cream-pie or Paletas de Coco. I keep finding myself experiencing memories of Hawaii, and I realize it's from this fragrance affecting my subconscious imaginings. It smells like a walk in Lahaina, in the early morning; tuberose leis, coconut sunscreen, jasmine blooming in gardens, and benzoin-sands. I have read this described as "powdery", and that puzzles me. Soleil Neige is gloriously powdery, so maybe the two scents get confused.
