Tom Ford White Suede Eau De Parfum 50ml

This unisex perfume is a wonderful combination of leather and musk together brings a modern beauty that is stimulating and novel, but also very classic and soothing. Opening with a quite sharp and seductive mixture of lily of the valley, rose and saffron. As it gradually dries, the warmth of sandalwood and amber begins to reveal itself, bringing balance and comfort to the previous rich rose, leather and saffron mixture. Only at TomFord that make me find a unique leather scent - very personal, very angular and always enduring over time.

White Suede is a solid fragrance to addition to any fragrance collection. The powdery, suede notes give a unisex feel to me. There's a very faint tea/herbal scent in the opening, but develops in a very clean and soft scented perfume. I enjoy layer it with Tuberose notes from my collection but if you happened to try it with TF Lost Cherry, I promise you it will become one of your favorite layering fragrances in your collection.

This is one of my favorite musks. I was surprised about how much I liked it when I first discovered it. I was expecting a typical heavy floral-musk but it's not! I can smell the soft suede right from the opening, which also offers an aromatic quality provided by the tea and thyme, it is fresh (this combination last only a few seconds but it works so well for me); the flowers are subtle and play a second role. The musk is in the background but it has presence. The first stages (aromatic/floral/suede) last for about 30 minutes on my skin. White Suede is typically marketed as a more feminine scent, and u can understand why, however I find it to lean more unisex. The opening is a wonderful boquete of white florals, held up by a fresh, clean musk. The scent is effervescent and alluring. After about half an hour the floral notes make room for a soft, suple, clean leather to come front and center. The leather isn’t overbearing and might be a bit light for some preferences. I find this to be a wonderful take on a fresh floral, very light and airy, while maintaining to tooth on the skin.

Beautiful for subtle scent. Wish it lasted longer

I’ve been using this during the holidays and it’s a beautiful, subtle and non-offensive smell. I love how it’s very close to the skin and I keep getting small whiffs of it throughout the day. That said, it doesn’t last very long. After a while, I need to reapply but uckily the travel size is perfect for touch-ups.

Love Love Love except its $$$$

I purchased this perfume in 2019 at the Incheon Airport when it was on sale. So I think I payed around $250 at that time. First, I have never liked TF perfume. His scents were always so dark heavy and too masculine for my taste. However, I came across White Suede (and Shanghai Lily, which is another story) and I fell in love. I have personally always loved white musk, and this perfume has a beautiful, clean, a little bit sweet, fluffy white musk in the dry down. When I spray it, it has a strong, smooth leather scent, which gives a little edge to the sweet white musk scent. To me, sillage is quite strong, and it lasts about 5-6 hr on my skin. The jury is still out on the performance of this fragrance. I wasn't expecting a powder bomb and to me this is what I got after the dry down. Definitely a mature scent and I'm mature but this would be my aunts mature. It lasted about 4 hours on my skin and this is Tom Ford it private collection so longevity should be at least 6hrs before it starts to become a skin scent. Nonetheless, I'm going to try it again on a super cold day. Maybe weather had an adverse effect.

I had bought the Tom Ford foundation stick and some other items, none of which are scented. A little dab of this on each wrist accomplished that glamorous feeling one gets from using heavily fragranced designer makeup (which has awful fragrance ingredients) without the fragrance actually being in the makeup itself. You would think that could be said of any perfume, but oddly even owning about 60 designer and French small batch fragrances, I had never experienced that until this scent. This could be a bad thing if you hate perfume, but if you hate perfume you wouldn't spend $225 on only 50ml of a fragrance anyway. I got a very small sample and I've used it for a week now and still have at least a week left. One spray at the base of the throat and one more dabbed gently between my two wrists is ample amount (even with the sample that barely sprays any out) so I imagine you could wear this for at least two years every day and not run out. It also lasts on my skin until I shower it off, even without lotion or anything else that increases wear time, so I can see why they are able to justify the price of it. The white suede scent is, as I said, very glamorous, and I was surprised to read the description Sephora has, which seems to say it isn't actually floral at all. My initial impression of it was that it was a white floral, but my lack of allergies to it seems to back up the idea that it actually isn't. If you often like white florals but get migraines from them, this might suit you. Handcrafted fragrances are known to also decrease that problem- but everyone is different. I would warn anyone who is decidedly young (less than 25) that they may experience this scent as smelling old fashioned or too mature. That effect gets worse if you spray even one time too many. I normally like fruity florals, but this fits somewhere between Prada Candy and Armani Mania, which are two of my favorites. It doesn't smell like them where either of those could replace White Suede whatsoever, but it is warm with a tiny sprinkle of sweetness if you get right up on it (I would say the sweetness doesn't carry and others might not smell it) however, my skin makes Prada Candy smell sweeter than it does on most people, so that could just be my individual experience. I would very strongly advise NOT BUYING THIS WITHOUT TRYING IT- because of the way the scent could change with your skin and possibly smell older or more peppery (which would be unpleasant with this scent)... so unless you want to risk hating it, don't order based on reviews, because everyone is going to feel different about it. It also might be kind of repellant to men, or I would imagine it to be quite possible anyway. I have been on a family visit out of state and not had a chance to get opinions as to its appeal. Coach Poppy is incredibly irresistible if you're looking for something sexy, or at least that is the one I have gotten the most compliments on of everything I've ever owned. After all is considered, I will definitely buy an actual bottle of White Suede as soon as I get some solid male opinions on it, but I find that I personally like it quite a bit. It just wouldn't be a good use of $225 for me if men can't stand it given that they are 50% of the population, which honestly seems pretty possible with this one- it kind of goes in that vein as far as fragrances are concerned, where other warm scents like Prada Candy and Armani Mania don't have that problem.
