Tom Organic The Period Cup - Regular (Size 1)

I was looking at my options for a menstrual cup for a while. I have used TOM's tampons in the past, and love them as a brand, so when they released this menstrual cup with an easy-to-sterilise container, I thought it looked the most user friendly for first time users. It comes with a great booklet with instructions (though I recommend watching Youtube videos too! That gave me some handy tricks to get it out), sterilising using the container is so easy and discrete. Easy to insert and so comfortable. My favourite part about this product (and all menstrual cups) is that I can use it during the night. It's the most comfortable sleep I've had while on my period ever.

I have just used the cup for the first time and have found it surprisingly easy to use. The grips on the side of the cup are really helpful for getting it out. Random tip but I have found that if I push as if I'm trying to poo, it helps me to get the cup out...The steriliser case is also really handy!

CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT IT

I bought this originally to try out since it was on sale. Once I got the hang of how to insert the cup it was an absolute lifesaver! This brand imparticular is amazing as you can discreetly microwave the cup to sanitise it, instead of having to boil on the stove (which can be quite awkward if you share a house). I only used to wear tampons during the day and pads overnight, but absolutely hated using pads! This has become the perfect solution! The only con is that I probably wouldn't recommend it to germaphobes as it can get messy if you're not careful!

Changed my life!

I impulse bought this 3 months ago and it has made my period so much more bearable. I recommend using the c-fold technique to insert and didn't have any problems inserting it or with leakage. With sizing - size 1 is better suited to someone with medium flow and/or a low cervix and size 2 is better suited to someone with a heavier flow and/or a high cervix as it's slightly longer. I did struggle a lot the first few times removing it which I now know is because I have a high cervix and should have bought size 2. Removal is effortless now. I love that I don't have the be constantly changing products throughout the day and that I can insert it in anticipation of my period. Yes it's a little tricky at first, but do persevere, it is so worth it!

Easy to put in, difficult to get out

Bought this as my first cup. I like the fact it comes with the steriliser. Reasonably easy to insert and once in and settled it's pretty comfortable/unnoticeable. However incredibly difficult to remove, it's a stressful workout- not enough grip. Maybe it's that I'm a newbie will give it another chance next time and see if it gets easier.

I miss my Juju

My juju fell in the loo so had to get a replacement. Thought I would give the Tom a try, it looked great and love the steriliser case.Like the other reviewers I regret it. I dont like the shape of the tail, I can feel it unless I really push it up more than my last cup and yes the material is to grippy. I dont want to waste the product either so giving it another try before I decide to go back to Juju.

Love the steriliser!

I've been using the juju cup for about 5 years and decided to get a new one. This was definitely a bit harder to get in and out but I got the hang of it quickly. I actually like that it's a bit more stiff as it feels more stable.The steriliser is absolutely fantastic and makes things so much easier.

Never Again

With everyone raving about menstrual cups I've decided it's about time to give it a go.I places it for the first time and it was super painful. I tried unsuccessfully to get it out multiple times during the day. Long story short, 8 hours later and with the help of my partner we finally managed to get it out. Delivering my baby was less messy than this s#@t.

Not the best

I was excited to try this cup, and I really liked the look the the microwave container. Unfortunately the cup itself has some flaws; the silicone isn’t smooth like other cups I’ve used - it’s kind of tacky, so it can hurt when inserting if you don’t have enough lubrication, also the design of the stem makes it difficult to remove as it is harder to grab onto like other cups, the finger indentations initially sounded good but it actually makes it difficult to break the suction because it’s already indented.I’ll keep using it as not to waste it, but I do regret buying it.

easy to use, everyone is different, but i had to cut the little tab abit shorter. wish it was designed with ridges for easy removal. comes with a case which is nice. it says microwavable but i personally dont feel comfortable doing that method, would rather boil it
