Tommee Tippee Closer To Nature Bottle 260ml X1

I'll start by saying on first use it was a disaster! But... so I'd bought the medium flow teat to go with it initially, because baby was already using 3+ month teat on a different brand. On the first use, the milk poured out, drenched my baby and was way too fast flow. I think I may have got it cross threaded as well without realising, causing more leakage. Anyway, before giving up and returning the rest of the unused bottles, I tried it with the original teat (size 1, newborn) and my baby loved it! After a couple of feeds and he got used to it, it's by far the best bottle/teats we have and half the price of other glass bottles I've seen. Baby won't use any other bottle now! I have 8 of them in total!

A bad experience: don’t waste money

Bought this while pregnant. We are exclusively breast feeding. When my baby was born I Tried to feed my baby expressed milk using these bottles when she was 2 weeks old and then at 4 weeks and it was a major fail!!! Watched videos and demos everything. Nothing helped! My baby coughed on the bottle spurted it out and it was hard to watch her struggle. As a first time mum, I thought I would never be able to use bottles. I chose the slow flow option in these bottles but was hugely disappointed. A friend suggested a different brand apart other than tomee tipee and suggested teat 0 which can be used for babies that are breast feeding and need to be switched to bottles once in a while and the other brand was amazing!!! Easy to clean & Easier to use

So from start to finish, I have had nothing but an easy time dealing with this bottle type.I am able to take everything apart without having to question where or how things go back. I do not fight the nipple to be placed back in place. I am able to get in and clean/sanitize these bottles with no hassle. ( This is not always the case with some bottles that I have used.)My child is BF and when we introduced her to a bottle, it was when she started going to day care. We had her on a narrow bottle and had an extremely hard time feeding her. The breast-like feature in this bottle has saved me the hassle of baby forcing the nipple out of her mouth. I do not think it bothers my child or if she has noticed it...With final cleaning of this bottle - using both the sponge to get the insides and the bottle were easy to do. The bottom is slightly tapered so the sponge does not get stuck, and when using the brush for both the nipple and the bottle, I was able to touch every nook and cranny without having to over exert any efforts.I am giving this just 4 stars because I one small inconvenience to me... The nipple cover is nearly impossible to remove if you unscrewed the housing from the bottle itself. The top needs to be attached to the bottle before you take the nipple cover off to clean all the components.

Gave my child really bad reflux

Would give these zero stars if I could. These bottles caused extremely bad reflux in my baby. I tried everything to stop his spit up and finally switched bottles and it helped tremendously. A lactation consultant also told me that these are not actually breast shape. A baby needs a more narrow standard size baby bottle nipple in order to get a deeper latch. Please please please do not buy these bottles and look for a bottle with the narrow standard size nipple.

Great overall

I love nearly everything about this bottle but we still struggled unfortunately. I love love love the new colours, it’s so nice having something different to blue or pink! Especially when we didn’t know the gender before birth. The hold/shape of the bottle is great, it warms well, washes well (and easily!) the only possible downside we had was that (I felt) the teat size was too big. My little boy was only 6lb so I felt he struggled to get the bottle in his mouth, the few times he managed I felt the flow was great but getting him to ‘latch’ was difficult. I feel the older he gets the better it will suit him, which is ideal as we’re comi feeding. Great quality and durability

I love Tommee Tippee bottles and it was always my Nr. 1 choice among all bottle brands because they last longer in their durability, material is not scratched for longer, these bottles are very comfortable to hold, clean, to feed, and babies are taking these bottles better.It’s easy to open and close the bottles and to separate all parts with no problem. I like this kind of plastic these bottles have, it’s very nice material and it’s not very hot to hold the bottle, compared to other brands plastic material.This is lovely colourful set, great size and comfortable teats. My baby easily switches between breastfeeding and these bottles.In my opinion it’s good value for money for its quality and durability. I would recommend and would definitely repurchase.

Great quality bottles

We have been using these bottles for a very long time and I m so impressed with how great the quality is and how they still look so new and well made. The unique short squat shape of the close to nature gives them a lot of advantages. The wide neck makes it easier to pour liquid and the nipple has a single vent that allows air in giving the baby fewer bubbles and less colic which is amazing and I m very thankful for. I also think the countoured shape Is more natural for babies to wrap their hands around once they can hold the bottle .The volume markings are very easy to tell no matter the lighting conditions. The bottles come in wonderful variety of amazing colors which is perfect and attractive as babies loves different colors . Lip-tied babies unite!

There are several things I’m going to be touching on here, like: breastfeeding to bottle feeding transitions, lip ties and gas.Firstly, the nipple on the closer to nature bottles has been a lifesaver for switching between bottle and breastfeeding. There has been little issue with nipple confusion and switching around has been super easy. Next, my son has a lip tie and he has trouble latching on certain nipples of big name brands. However he has had no issue with latch with these nipples and has very little that spills out of his mouth.
