Tommee Tippee Twist & Click Bin + 4 Cassettes

We had the 2015 version of this bin for our first child and it was great but this one drives me loopy.9 times out of 10, when you turn the inside to seal the nappy in the bags, the outer ring will turn but the inner ring with the long bag will stay still and not turn. Sometimes it only turns if 2 or 3 nappies are in there at the same time.I don’t know why it was changed but I wish it hadn’t been. I’m so bored of arguing with this nappy bin already and I’ve only been using it for 3 weeks.

Our £9 Aldi bin broke so we bought this one - the Aldi bin had a spring loaded lid which created an airtight seal, this one doesn’t. This bin stinks. I’m almost at the point of leaving it in the Reception area id Tommy Tippee’s offices - if it smells the room out I want my money back. product looks great but it does not do the job. delivery was on time, communication was great…. but the product!!!

I never knew I needed one!

This is one of those products you don’t know you need until you actually have one. I absolutely regret not having one sooner.It was a little tricky to put together for me, initially - however I gave the instructions to my partner and he did it immediately.I love the fact I do not have to run downstairs to the outside bin multiple times per day and the twist and lock system is certainly very good and it is great that every nappy gets twisted into its own little package to keep out those ghastly smells. The only downside to this is I find when I open the pin to pop a nappy in I do get a very small whiff of nappies - however once the lid is shut this is gone and it’s able to live in my daughters bedroom and keeps my nose happy in the long run and a happy partner as ... MoreThis is one of those products you don’t know you need until you actually have one. I have the colour white - it’s kept clean, and it’s nice and stable - it feels nice, looks nice and does a really fabulous job. I love that the lid pushes the new bag liner down so you don’t get messy hands when popping a poopy nappy in, but I do find it best to put the nappy in sideways so it fits a little better though.I also LOVE how the film/refills kill bacteria as a little bit OCD - it makes my OCD happy and I don’t mind emptying it into the big bin when the bin is full. Very happy indeed.It is a big win from me - I am so glad I have it - I have taken one star away for the little smell when opening and because I found the instructions difficult - but these are purely personal.

Looks nice but flimsy

Sent this for review - we currently use the same brand twist and lock system, just an older version in white. While this looks a lot sleeker, it has been disappointing in comparison. It arrived a bit squished so the lid wouldnt fit properly. After some forceful bending I managed to get it to fit but it traps my fingers quite a bit, still doesnt sit flush with the base and the top lid traps fingers easily too - the plastic is more brittle then the previous version. Twist mechanism is fine but you dont need the click which seems to be the only difference vs the old version (other then looks and material). So in general would not recommend.

Much less smell, but sometimes a bit fiddly

As our little girl eats a lot of different things, she poops a lot of different smells too! We live in a flat and our bins are collected once a week, so this bin was something we looked at getting.The bin itself looks smart and modern. The cartridges are easy to install and seem to last us a decent amount of time. Because of weekly bin days, the size of bin seems ideal for the amount of nappies we use.The twisty bit can be a bit fiddly. Most of the time you need to hold the bin down with one hand and twist with the other. Another thing we noticed, is that it's better to twist it a few times to properly lock the nappy in to a "sausage".Removal of the used nappies can be a bit daunting, but it's actually not that bad. Not worth it

The bags finish in less than a week. The twist system sounds good but leads to a lot of wasted plastic. And it still smells a lot. Not much difference compared with a regular trash. It's not worth it

Perfect nursery addition

I was very excited to receive this as I had been looking on market for something to help eliminate the terrible odour of our 10 month old babies nappies! You simply place the bag lining through the scissor section on the under side of the lid and pull.I’ve found that I’ve not been able to smell any odours from the bin in between each disposal and when emptying, unlike your regular nappy bags which I find can leave a lingering smell. I would highly recommend this addition to everyone’s nursery!

Prefer the older one

I received this to review. I've had the older Sangenic bin for a few years and much prefer that over this. This Twist and Click tub has a much nicer sleeker looking design, the colour is nice and it can go flush against a wall. That's where the design improvements stop with this model. The lid is really awkward to put on due to the bin being slightly flexible and a very small and thin lip all the way around to insert on the lid so you have to have an extra hand to hold one side while pushing and pulling the other. To me this was far too much faff and I'd probably hate this if I had to do it when I was tired with a newborn. Also, the lid doesn't always push the nappy down enough for the plastic to wrap it so it ends up being pushed out the top. The plunger is half ... MoreI received this to review. The plunger is half the size of the older model probably to try to reduce the use of plastic in the bin as well as in the wraps. The finger space to open the handle had ridges on that are really rough on my fingers, the gap is a bit too small so potentially those with larger fingers, I'm thinking of Dad's here, might struggle to open it comfortably. The concept is great, no smells, so can store up a few nappies or days worth of nappies before having to empty and traipse to the outside bin. I've only given it 3 stars as I really do prefer the older sangenic one, even though that is more bulky and not as nice looking. If they no longer do the Sangenic bin then I would definitely recommend this but having used the older one I can only really find negatives with this one.

Used this style for years

I've been using the Tommee Tippee Sangenic -older version of this one- for the last 5.5 years. I really love the way the bin works, wrapping each nappy individually, which is hygienic, convenient, and helps to reduce smells. I also feel it's safer than having nappy sacks around, which little ones could get ahold of. Yes it does use a fair amount of plastic wrap, but this newer version does seem to use less than the old style. This newer bin seems slightly bigger and has a better designed lid that can sit flat against the wall, rather than having to move the bin away to open the lid. On the downside the lid is slightly harder to open than the old style, and the carry handle I feel is less easy to use, but overall I'm happy to use the updated bin, especially as it's ... MoreI've been using the Tommee Tippee Sangenic -older version of this one- for the last 5.5 years. Yippee to Tippee!

I bought this product after being recommended it from a fellow parent, I can't imagine those night feeds without it.The product is simple to use, it holds a lot of nappies and there is no smell whatsoever so it saves a lot of trips to the outside bin during the early hours.Yippee to Tommy Tippee.
