I used the tommee tippee bin for years with my daughter and have now started again with my son. The bin is very useful for night changes and keeping odour in, however the refills are expensive. I was pleased to see the eco-refill bag only option though I would expect the price to be less, not just ÂŁ1 difference. Do they last longer? Is it worth the hassle? They are actually really easy to insert and use, they appear to be the same quality. I think there should be an option to buy an empty chassis with your first box otherwise you end up buying a multipack of pre made ones (as this is more effective than a single one) creating unnecessary plastic waste. I would buy again if they were a little cheaper.

Fantastic!

Especially as I thought they were single use at first, what a bad thing for the environment! The eco friendly refills are really fantastic, less plastic waste to dispose of and I think it works out cheaper to boot! Plus, they work exactly the same as the original cassettes. How could you possibly go wrong?

The most important thing for us when it came to choosing a nappy bin was the fact that given its location in our living room, any odours needed to be well contained. As the description suggests, as the baby and their nappies get bigger the bin is able to hold a lower quantity of nappies, but this does not affect how well the smell is held and the fact that the refills cope with the messiest of nappies. Overall we are very pleased with this product and the environmentally conscious part of us is pleased to be able to recycle. The price reflects the eco friendly nature of the product and it can be a bit fiddly to fit at first due to opening the wrap but once you are used to it, it is worth the time and money.

Great Product, Easy to use, and Eco friendly.
31 March 2022

The short and simpleThe perfomance of the re-fills is simply no different to plastic. The bags did not tear, pull or rip. There was no leakage and the smell was locked in.I was really happy with this prodct. The product arrives in cardboard packaging keeping with the green theme. The first thing I realised seeing the refils in the box is how much new plastic I would be throwing into landfill when not using the Eco-fills. The fills are made from sustainabe sugar cane. The refils are coasted in a bioscide which is meant to stop the bacteria in the bag breeding and prevent smells. I didnt experiance and bad smells so believe it works. A refil should last about one month but this will vary depending on usage and nappy size.

Great depending on price

So the first one i tried to use I completely misunderstood the instructions but when I looked properly and managed to get the second one in the bag did rip when i put it over the cartridge so it might be easier if they were made of stretchier material? However once i got it loaded in properly it was dead easy. I do wonder how long the cartridges will last though, the teeth on them can’t last forever? But it is a great idea as i do think we must change cartridges at least once a week and it would be far easier to change just the bag! It would be good if you made bags for the bin too as we can’t find any the correct size and would save us having to tip it all into a bag at the end. Sounds lazy but small things with a young baby help massively! We have been using the Twist & Click system since our son was born 6 months ago after using online reviews to decide on which system to purchase. The bin has been a lifesaver for us (especially during the early months) saving unwanted smells and endless trips to the outside bin. We had initially purchased the refills with the cassettes which contain a lot of plastic waste so we were very happy when the Eco-Refills were launched. The only thing I can see being an issue is there is no option to purchase the eco refills and request a cassette to go with them, which means you need to make multiple purchases before you can use the eco friendly refills. That aside, the product is simple to install and use and even though the material feels thin, the quality of the bag ... MoreWe have been using the Twist & Click system since our son was born 6 months ago after using online reviews to decide on which system to purchase. The capacity of the bin means we only have to empty it once a week as the design seals and compacts the nappies very well. Would highly recommend this product to anyone using disposables or reusable nappies as it is a great addition to the nursery.

Great to go green!

Ever since my baby was born I’ve been conscious of the impact that my purchases have on the environment - especially with all of the clothes and toys that we’ve been given for her. For this reason, we decided to switch to reusable nappies after about 6 weeks once we’d found our bearings. However with reusables, we still need to dispose of the compostable liners. I brought the tommee tippee twist and click bin before my baby was born and was disappointed that the bags were not biodegradable at the time, however this solution is perfect for us. We can dispose of the paper liners from our reusable nappies in these green bin bags safe in the knowledge that we are causing less damage to the environment than we would have with disposable nappies and conventional bin bags. ... MoreEver since my baby was born I’ve been conscious of the impact that my purchases have on the environment - especially with all of the clothes and toys that we’ve been given for her. These bags work just as well as the “non-green” version that we used to use when it comes to trapping the smell - they are even lightly scented so we can easily use the bin in the nursery without worrying about smells lingering all day. We don’t empty the bin as much now we’re using reusable nappies but the bin holds all smells in very well with these bags, even when it is getting full. I would recommend these to anyone - the refill option is so easy to use also!

Perfect for eco conscious users!
4 April 2022

I would really recommend these eco-refills for anyone with a space and eco conscious mind. The non-eco ones each come in individual plastic cases that are absolutely huge, 6 of them stood over a meter tall in our nursery! Space consuming and a lot of unnecessary plastic! These come in a small cardboard box that fits through the letter box, much easier to store and far more environmentally friendly. In terms of use, you will have to have used one with the plastic case first, as they fit inside empty ones. Fitting them is really simple and not too fiddly, just pop the top of, remove the paper secures and slide it in… job done! Granted it takes more than the 2 seconds replacing the full case with a new one does, but only about 30 seconds instead. Saves on plastic! Gets easier!
30 March 2022

We have two of the twist and click nappy bins and really like them. We have always thought it’s a lot of plastic to recycle/throw away each time we need a new roll. So trying the new eco friendly rolls without the plastic we thought would be a good idea. We liked the idea of them but found them hard to use for the first time. Once you get used to them it gets easier. It’s fiddly to open all the plastic latches and get the roll of bags in, if you mess it up, it’s really hard to get all the bags back in. I think if saving on plastic and the environment this is a better product, but maybe have a cardboard insert around the roll of bags, as once you’ve detached the white loops that hold them together the bags and the ring can change shape, making it difficult to get ... MoreWe have two of the twist and click nappy bins and really like them. Saves space and money ! Excellent product
2 April 2022

In the past I have always bought the cartridges.I love my tomme tippee nappy bin, but got irritated with the amount of space trying to store the cartridges as I would buy 6 packs to save money. The eco refills come in a little box of 6, they also work out cheaper and of course are better for the environment. But still the same great quality as the cartridges.Very easy and simple to refill, I imagined when I ordered these they were going to be tricky to refill the cartridge but I was pleasantly surprised. It took the same time as it does to replace the cartridge. One very happy mama, having a newborn is expensive and takes over your house so I definitely feel I'm on to a winner here by saving money, space and helping the environment

The Tommee Tippee Twist & Click nappy disposal system, individually wraps each nappy, safely sealing away germs and odours. Our Twist & Click nappy bin - saving parents lots of trips to the outside bin. Drop a nappy into the bin. Twist the handle and feel the click. The nappy is now wrapped in multi-layer anti-bacterial film that locks away nappy odours and germs. The built-in plunger pushes the nappy down into the bin when you close the lid, keeping your hands clean and your room fresh. Each refill cassette provides enough anti-bacterial film on average to wrap up to 1 month's worth* of nappies depending on the size and number you use. *Based on the average nappy usage across the few years of nappy changing. With Newborn you will change your bub more frequently so cassette may last approx. 2 weeks however, as your bub grows, the number of nappy changes drops as well as the possibility you will get out and about more often, the cassettes will last longer. Please be aware that twisting unit more than once between nappies or emptying disposal unit more often can so affect the longevity of your refill cassette.
