Have only tried it indoors (not beach weather now) and it seems solid. Detachable pillow is nicely puffy, more than expected. Except for the farting sound it makes when you sit, it is AWESOME.

These chairs are great for kids and easy with backpack straps for them to carry. Not a heavy chair. Has a pillow, side pocket for water bottle and zippered pouch in the back. Just bought two more for my niece and nephew!

We already had a Tommy Bahama Beach Chair and ordered a second one as we were so impressed with its design and its versatility. It is extremely comfortable and light to carry on your back. I would highly recommend this chair.
Because it is well made, and will stand up to wind.
Exact replica of the adult. Good quality.
The Tommy Bahama 5 position chair is great for the beach. It is comfortable, light, and easy to carry with places to store / hold various items like water or cell phone.
Great chair! Highly recommend!
This is my second order of these chairs as the first two were perfect for the beach. Pattern helps obscure any stains and the chair itself is very comfortable with two side pockets. Only minus (and not a big one as we bring a cooler) is large zipper storage area in back of chair is not insulated.
Sturdy chair at a great price just wish the back was a bit higher
