I bought this 5 days ago, today my new arrived Tom’s arrived. I can’t wait to wear them to work. This is my second pair. So comfy. I have a super light grey color that I was iffy about but I find myself wearing them more than I thought that I would! I’m so excited to rock black ….. goes with everything. Other reviews have said black Tom’s looks good with leggings. Happy shopping!

I've been a fan of the original Tom's Alpargatas for years now. When I bought my first pair I thought they wouldn't last past one season because they looked so flimsy, but they fooled me. The uppers may look like heck after a while but the shoes keep on going. This style is my go-to footwear when I go traveling because they pack light in luggage, they are weightless on the foot, comfortable like slippers and the soles provide a bit of padding when traipsing around touring, .

The pattern on the bottom of the shoe causes cracks at the ball of the foot. I only find out there are cracks when it rains and my socks end up wet because the water seeps through. I have purchased 2 pairs in the last year thinking maybe the cracks in the first pair were a fluke. Nope! Happened even faster with the second pair. I love these shoes but can't afford to buy a new pair every quarter and feel that they should last longer. Just a design flaw.

I highly recommend walking in them at DSW.The shoes fit great and are true to size.The problem is the stitching on the inside, top of the right shoe. It digs into my skin. I have to adjust the sewn fold then it feels better. Something it starts poking again.Maybe I got a faulty shoe. The left shoe feels great.
Toms puts out quality and comfort that I appreciate. Been wearing them for years. I gave four stars and it's not necessarily the brand's fault. I got Covid in 2020 and became unable to exercise and as a result of that gained 100 pounds pretty much overnight at the age of 42 after being trim and active. I bought a half size up and wide and it's still pretty constricting in the instep. Just wish there was a little more give in the W sizes.
I have flannel Toms from a few seasons ago...maybe longer. They're like slippers. I've even worn them to weddings for the dancing (I don't look as elegant as I would like, but I can only torture my feet so much.Most recently, I bought the simple canvas Toms and some cute lace ones. As I tried on each pair, I couldn't get them off fast enough. The shoes fabrics are now harsh and unforgiving, nothing like the flannel ones. I don't know how people can wear them-I'm sure they need to be "broken in" but 1 minute with them on I was in pain.
I have been on the fence about these shoes for a while and I'm so glad I finally bit the bullet on it. I love minimalist shoes. I like that it feels like I'm not wearing shoes but slippers. I like to feel everything while I walk. These have been amazing shoes! I've been wearing them everyday since I received them in the mail. I will be purchasing them again.
I was so excited to finally get a pair of wide shoes instead of squeezing into standard-sized ones! Don't be fooled though, these are nowhere near "wide" as described. I even double-checked to make sure that they were in fact marked wide, as I couldn't believe how small they were. I was not able to put them on, as the opening was far too small and stiff to begin to try. Also, they were very long for what should have been a 7.5 size. Returns aren't completely hassle-free, so I ended up donating them, instead of wasting my time and energy to get a fraction of what I paid reimbursed to me. Disappointing to say the least. I just wish I had read the other reviews about sizing before making my purchase.
This would have been my fifth pair of black canvas Toms but they are definitely not the same as the first four. The fabric is stiff and uncomfortable and the shoes are tight. Every other pair has been perfect from the first day but when I wore these, I came home with a blister on the top(!) of one foot and a bleeding heel on the other. I am so, so disappointed and I will certainly never buy these shoes again.I still have two pairs of the old version in different colours but I would have loved to have black again. I was such a loyal Toms customer until now, so it really is sad.
My mother found my first pair at a yard sale. I loved them from the beginning. However, they discolor with age and especially when gotten wet. They looked rough but I would not part with them. Searched everywhere to no avail. Got a similar pair; not the same. Thank God. I kept going to Tom's.com, til I found my shoes. Most comfortable on Earth; nothing compares.
