I bought these shoes less than 2 months ago and really liked them initially. I never wore them in rainy weather, or any other extreme conditions, and the shoes have started to break at the heel. Very disappointing.Have tried to contact John Lewis via the website, but whether I tried to submit the form it crashed. Also very disappointing.I expected more from both TOMS and John Lewis.

The pattern on the bottom of the shoe causes cracks at the ball of the foot. I only find out there are cracks when it rains and my socks end up wet because the water seeps through. I have purchased 2 pairs in the last year thinking maybe the cracks in the first pair were a fluke. Nope! Happened even faster with the second pair. I love these shoes but can't afford to buy a new pair every quarter and feel that they should last longer. Just a design flaw.

I ordered the 'grey', thinking I would be receiving the dark grey (TOMS calls this color Ash) to replace an existing pair of same color. DSW sent me a light grey pair of shoes (TOMS calls this color Morning Dove). The item number on DSW corresponds to the Ash color, but the item number on the box I received was different. I used mostly points to purchase, so not worth the hassle to return, but just beware if you're expecting a dark grey you may end up with a light one.

I ordered the color Pink Quartz Heritage Canvas which the picture on the website looks like “maroonish/redish”. I was so excited when I received it in the mail but got immediately disappointed when i saw the shoes. It is light Pink, very different from the picture on the website. I know the description sometimes will say color may vary due to lighting but this is WAAAYYYY DIFFERENT. Also, part of the shoe touches my ankle bone, it’s uncomfortable. Returning.
I purchased a pair of Toms Alpargata recycled slip on shoes in navy color. They are very comfortable. I wanted a pair in black. I bought them in the same size. 71/2 medium. Upon receiving them, length fit fine but they were too tight in width. Very disappointed.
I had previously bought these in black. They were comfortable flats, which was more important while I was pregnant. It took a time or two to break in the back but then I never had an issue with rubbing on my ankle. When DSW had a sale and additional deal, I decided to get another color. After some debate, I went with white for spring/summer.
I bought these shoes online in a size 8 in navy recently. Size 8 is my typical shoe size. When it arrived, it was so small I could barely fit my foot into it. I checked the shoes and they were a size "8". I had to go to DSW and return them, and ordered the same shoe in a size 8.5 Wide. I had to wait again for delivery. This time they fit, but I noticed they were not as comfortable as my old pair of navy "Bob's" shoes, which they were replacing. They are somewhat comfortable, but just not what I was expecting. Next time I'll just stick with my former brand of shoes. I don't recommend these.
I have come to the conclusion that the people who like this must have teeny, dainty feet, because I went for my usual sizing and, even in a now larger size, the size doesn't fit fully. My left shoe is noticeably smaller, for example, and the shoe is overly narrow, even for a regular fit. I had to return by true size. I'm hoping that those I've kept can be worn in and the canvas pushed out a little, however the canvas is quite hard. So, my recommendation is only get these if your feet are actually smaller than the norm.
I've had many pairs of TOMS over the last 13 years and this is the first pair I've ever had to break in. Out of the box, the canvas was very stiff. The backs immediately rubbed my heels and the stitching scratched the top of my feet. I've been wearing them for a week now and they're getting more comfortable but they're still stiffer than my old ones. My feet also get hot in them. Very disappointed that the quality has changed so much. I really wanted them so I'm hoping they're eventually as comfortable as the old TOMS.
First of all the thing I love about Toms is their philosophy but a pair they will donate a pair🙌 I’ve been wanting a neutral color to go with everything and was so happy to get these on clearance. You really have to try on each pair of Toms because they all size differently. I have these in an 8and a similar pair in 8 1/2. They’re a great shopping out to lunch shoe but I do not recommend for long walks because they offer little support. Great with jeans and leggings and long skirts too!
