Having had 4 children and now grandchildren, I have plenty of plastic toy experience. This is the one toy that has consistently entertained. Even older children remember it fondly.There are various versions of this toy. Taking the eggs apart and making the inner chicks squeak amuses toddlers for quite a while. As they become more skilled, they enjoy fitting the shells back on the right chicks and seating the chicks in the vehicle. It is very simple for small hands, unlike the typical shape-sorting offering. The toy is durable too. The first one we bought, a simple egg box with 6 different coloured eggs/chicks, still looks good and is intact after 8 years.
