Since I got this pillow I have neck and back pain.I saw the previous reviews but thought as I like a medium firmness maybe its perfect for me but it is not a good pillow which I can't return now.

I bought this during the recent Tontine sale but would have been happy to pay full price. It is that perfect balance between bouncy-soft and supportive.I’m very picky with pillows and find high end latex too hard on my ear piercings, and usually firm support lower end ones are thin and lose their form pretty quickly. This one is large, gives great neck support, is lovely to sink into without feeling flat, and looks nice on my bed.The quality is good, stitching and gusseting is fine.Very happy

I've never used a Tontine pillow before and since I'm way overdue for a replacement pillow, I thought I'd give this a go since it was on 40% off. When I first placed it in the pillowcase it looked way too fluffed up and I thought I might get a sore neck the next morning from using it (I'm a back sleeper / occasional side sleeper). Surprisingly it was so comfortable and provided me with just the right amount of support. I also wake up feeling really refreshed as compared to when I was using the old pillow. Couldn't believe that a pillow made all the difference but I was waking up good as new every morning. I'll be sticking to this Tontine pillow from now on!

I haven’t purchased this, but the picture of the pillow says firm but the description says medium support - nothing about firm.Also picture looks like it’s a second hand item and they’re blurry so you can’t see it if you zoom in a little.
I have always bought Tontine Firm and High pillows because I like extra support and to be higher. So when the time came to for a new pillow I bought what I was use to and have always been happy with. Or so I thought.The new pillow was soft and flat after one use. It had no support whatsoever. I have to fluff it up every night just to raise it up to a acceptable height.I am very disappointed with this pillow and next time I am due for a new pillow. (which will be sooner than I thought) I won't be buying this one.
This has got to be the least firm/high pillow I've ever bought, but that being said it is actually quite comfortable to sleep on. And that's coming from someone who's used to an actual firm/high pillow.It's a bit misleading when even in the product description they state it's a "firmer, higher pillow" and then follow that up by saying it's got "medium support that springs back into shape". The latter is definitely the truer statement.It's quite squishy, but it does spring back into shape as the description states, although I can't really think how that's a selling point. More about the aesthetics than usability.But overall, it IS comfortable to sleep on and didn't really require any readjustment to get used to the difference in pillow.
We have spend 100’s of dollars over the years on expensive pillows that made all sorts of promises but failed to deliver, especially on comfort. After the death of our last 2 pillows I decided to try these during a Tontine sale. We slept on them for the first time last night and we were both surprised by how well we slept. At this price, even if they do flatten over time, it’s no great drama to replace them. We are both new fans of good old Tontine pillows.
I have a number of spinal conditions and have been buying gusseted pillows for a long time to find the neck and back support I need. I can say both the Tontine and the Home brand have declined sharply in quality over the last few years, only able two get an average of 2 weeks before requiring a new pillow. Recently I noticed the Tontine pillow has a hidden zip, so I cut a 5 cm strip of the spun polyester filling out of an old pillow and added it to a newer one. This helped keep the pillow from spreading and lowering, adding a second strip later extended the usable period to 5 weeks, which is better.
With the side gusset these pillows don’t flatten out at the edges over time and do give extra support. They are soft enough to support your head without completely flattening.
tontine i like extra support pilllow is the best thing i have ever slept on. for years i have searched for the perfect and now my search has ended.no other pillow compares. it caters to all needs and gives 5 star comfort at a fantasticaly low price.most pillows are either to hard or to soft, or after awhile leave imprint of your head in the pillow which can be really uncomfortable. the tontine does not do that it is durable and long lasting when i need to replace it into the years of use to come im only going tontine sweet dreams
