Awesome for the price

Does everything it needs to and at a great price.I see people on here giving bad reviews, complaining this product doesn't work on their older Falcons and Commodores. This is true but it's not this product's fault. Europe switched to OBD2 compatibility in 1996 and the USA/Japan around 97. It took the manufacturers in Australia MORE THAN 10 YEARS to follow suit, so most Australian built cars are OBD1/OBD1.5 up until the mid-late 2000s!I know it's annoying because I used to own an AU and nothing was compatible with it haha

Didn't work

Simpy didn't work. Would give it 1 star, but giving 2 because of SCA's refund policy.Connected it to my Nissan Navara D40, and it failed to read any code.Mechanic had previously scanned my car because of 2 engine lights on. ABS fault and steering wheel clock spring fault. This scanner came back with no codes.Seems easy enough to use, but useless if it doesn't read codes.I'd recommend you buy it, only for the reason SCA was easy to deal with when it came to a refund. This unit is an excellent product for anyone who is doing any sort of work with their car. Can clear most non-serious error codes, and provides good diagnostic information.Worth the full price if you are a car person or are looking into working on your own car, and I'd definitely get it on special. Can't comment on it's use for professional work, but it's a very useful little nugget nonetheless.

Good basic tool, Doesnt work all the time
23 November 2022

This will read some basic data and clear a CEL if you need it, but after a month of running around, found out it wont read a "hidden" P0691 error on my 2008 Saab 9-3. Have used this on an 07 Mazda 2, various BA/BF Falcons and a 2005 Mercedes C Class with no (apparent) issues. For proper diagnostics, you'll need a more dedicated OBD tool.

Good little unit for the price - when on special
3 November 2021

Does what it says on my FG Falcon. It's basic but useful to a point.I have to laugh at the negative reviews claiming it won't clear fault codes for things like air bags, seat belt tensioners and ABS. No scanner will clear codes when the problem still exists - especially essential safety codes. If you want to clear these codes, you actually need to fix the problem first. Less critical codes can be cleared, but may re-appear if the problem persists. Some may have been one-off glitches anyway due to random dust / low voltage etc. so can be safely cleared and not return.

Got me out of trouble!
3 September 2022

Just a basic OBD2 reader but does give you enough information to start your own diagnosis work up. Also has the ability to reset engine codes to check if your on the right path.Won’t do specific things like ABS bleeding or airbag resets… but got me out of trouble! You only have to use it a couple of times and it will pay for itself.

Great inexpensive tool
31 October 2022

I was originally after the $90 dearer Kingchrome one, but that was out of stock. Very happy with this tool's ability to read and clear codes. Just remember, with any sub $1000 tool, some research may be required to accurately diagnose the underlying problem. In my case a blown fuse meant the O2 sensors were not working = engine extremely rough. Scan tool detected the O2 sensors not working, as well as another part of the emissions control system. Awesome scan tool which can communicate in a wide variety of protocols.

Only sees some engine error codes, not airbag code
9 October 2022

It's no different from a cheap one from China. Only reads ENGINE error codes on a 2003 Peugeot. Does NOT see seat belts, airbags, heating system, warning lights or anything else (even though the error codes were there and capable of being seen by a more expensive unit from China: See Peugeot forums).

Warning for all first time users.
23 December 2021

Set it up before your first use.NOT HAPPY!!! Bought the OM126 today and then drove 2 hrs to use it on a vehicle I bought that has the engine light on. Plugged in, scanned the codes then drove home another 2 hrs to plug it into the computer and read the codes, determine the issues and arrange what parts etc required for repairs. Well you can imagine how annoyed I was when there where no codes stored on the scanner. Why? Because record in settings was set to off as default, no where in the user manual does it state this or warn you that you first need to set it up. Big fail for Autophix as far as Im concerned and wont be recommending your products to others

only does half the job
1 December 2021

the unit reads the codes as my holden required. although will not read a 2005 magnaIt will not connect to PC for upgrading as required by the instruction manual or downloading of information from the unit. PC's do not recognise it.I had the scanner replaced after supercheap confirmed the fault and the new unit also doesn't connect to the PC.I have contacted both the Australian distributor and the Manufacturer and neither have responded after a month so backup is non-existent

ToolPRO Auto Diagnostic Scanner OBD2 and Can

(377 reviews)

When a modern, EFI vehicle isn't running correctly, it can be difficult to diagnose the problem. Whilst you may be able to replicate the fault, sometimes the difference between a failing crankshaft position sensor and a faulty ignitor chip may be very difficult to differentiate. In other instances, the vehicle may be perceived to operate correctly, however an illuminated 'check engine' light on the dashboard may raise concerns. Take the guessing out of the equation with a ToolPRO Diagnostic Scanner. Suitable for use with most OBD2 compliant vehicles, this handy digital tool reads the vehicle body control modules for faults and incorrect readings to determine the problem. Features include the ability to display live data, such as O2 sensor readings, RPM, coolant temperature, vehicle speed and many more, a multi-lingual menu and the ability to print completed diagnostic reports by simply connecting to a computer. As vehicles become more technologically advanced, a tool like the ToolPRO Diagnostic Scanner is an invaluable addition to your toolbox.
