ToolPRO Brake and Clutch Bleeder One Person

(186 reviews)

The ToolPRO Brake and Clutch Bleeder allows you to change the hydraulic fluid in your vehicle by yourself. The unit's use of gravity pressure allows you to manage this operation alone, eliminating the need for someone to pump the brake pedal. Simply fill the reservoir bottle with a small amount of fluid , enough cover the bottom of the tube to act as a fluid valve and position it above the bleed nipple height using the magnet to help move any bubbles up the hose and away. Loosen the bleed nipple and pump the brake pedal slowly to purge air from the system. Extremely versatile, this bleeder is capable of working on all hydraulic systems and works on both wheel and master cylinders.

Better off making your own DIY kit

I could understand if this was only $2.99, but for $17 its just a bottle with a short piece of airtube. The tube does not fit over the brake bleed nipple so it asks you to use the
tappered black adapters which push in and fall out easily causing a right mess when you cant see the fluid squirting all over the underside of the car.Need to stop every 4/5
pumps to empty the bottle. Unlikely ill use the kit again.

I don't understand the complaints about the bottle being too small??It's perfectly sized, because any bigger and its possible to drain the reservoir without topping it up in time.
Flush one line, close it off, top up reservoir, empty drain tank, move to next wheel. Dead easy! Just get a cheap turkey baster or something to suck out the old fluid in the
reservoir first to save time.

If used as the instructions say it’s great. Didn’t have a problem at all with it I just put a small amount of brake fluid in the little bottle connected the tubing and you must put
the black plastic nozzle into the bleeding nipple and it must be located above the calliper or cylinder. Did my motor bikes master cylinder and callipers without any
problems.Ignore the negative use as directed. 👍🏼

Ignore the dummies with the low ratings. This tool is really easy to use. When u go to fit the black attachment on the end of ur clear tube to the nipple hole u will have to force it into the nipple hole with some strength but not much is needed. Wiggle the black attachment while forcing it into the nipple hole so it will take shape and should stay in place. As for the bottle size I can't really complain cuz I only did the front brakes and didn't do a full flush so when I was done I didn't have to empty the bottle if ur gonna do a full flush I'd say u would have to empty the bottle after each brake pad. So tbh honest it's the best and cheapest option out there so far. Would def recommend for the diy... Show more

It Works! Excellent Product
4 May 2022
I was stuck with our car at home after overhauling the brakes so had to completely bleed and flush the brake system. I couldn't find any clear tubing to snugly fit over the bleed nipples (old school method) on our Mazda so I bought this yesterday. I thought I'd probably wasted my money because you have to insert the little spike with the tube on it INTO the bleed nipple. Never seen that before - but it works! And it really is a one person operation.I used to dread brake bleeding, from past experience, and always took the car to a mechanic to have the system flushed. Not any more. I'm keen to use it on the other car as it's due for a flush soon - never thought I would ever say that.It isn't a particularly robust product but I think it will last me for years and ... MoreI was stuck with our car at home after overhauling the brakes so had to completely bleed and flush the brake system. Overpriced for what it is
28 January 2022
The unit meets expectations of the supercheap brand, in being cheap and poorly constructed. However for something that one purchases as essentially a single use item, its a bit expensive. In the end the supplied tube and fittings did not fit the bleed nipples on my land rover clutch slave cylinder, despite several modifications, and so it remains unused.... I bought this to bleed brake lines. Poor design. Not a very good product, pipe too small, only good thing is the magnet for the bottle. Sorry don’t usually leave bad feedback but this one for the money is less than satisfying.... Show more

Great for one-man bleeding. However, think of the smallest bottle you can imagine, then halve it's capacity. This thing is tiny, and it means you'll be emptying it frequently on complete fluid swaps. In all fairness, it works great, and the magnet is a great idea. I guess if the bottle was larger, you'd need a bigger/stronger magnet, but for the price, this will do me. It seems a lot of negative reviewers failed to use the tapered end properly, and tried to cover the bleeder with the tube. Do it as per the instructions and you won't have any problems.... Show more

Works well. Yes, the fluid bottle is small, but if it was bigger, it would probably need a bigger magnet to hold the bottle up.Count out how many presses of the brake pedal it takes to fill the bottle, easy to go back to the bottle and empty it.... Show more

Works like a dream, but depress brake pedal SLOWLY
19 May 2023
I used it to do a full fluid change: it works very nicely for easy one person operation. There are a few caveats, though:- The bottle holds maybe about 100mL. If doing a bleed, that's probably enough, you might need to empty it, but that's not a big deal. On my car it holds 10 or 11 pedal strokes of fluid. If you're doing a fluid change, while that's rather small, it helps stop you accidentally emptying the fluid reservoir. It also helps you compare the fluid colour as you go if doing a fluid change: this could be a bit more difficult with a larger bottle, as the colour from a lot of fluid all mixes together.- If you do a full fluid change with it, and your fluid reservoir is an odd shape which stops you getting a siphon tube right to the bottom of the ... MoreI used it to do a full fluid change: it works very nicely for easy one person operation. It also helps you compare the fluid colour as you go if doing a fluid change: this could be a bit more difficult with a larger bottle, as the colour from a lot of fluid all mixes together.- If you do a full fluid change with it, and your fluid reservoir is an odd shape which stops you getting a siphon tube right to the bottom of the reservoir, you may find you can get the old fluid to float to the top of the reservoir by adding new fluid (generally heavier) to raise the level by 2cm, then siphoning off that top 2cm of old fluid, and repeat a few times. This will save you having to empty the catcher bottle so many times, as the bottle is quite small; and save you maybe at least half a litre of fluid as well.- Depress the brake pedal fairly SLOWLY so the tubes don't pop out, which did happen to me a couple of times during a fluid change operation.- While you may be able to open your valves one turn before attaching the tubes (as per the instructions), attach the tubes first, in case fluid comes out before pressing the pedal. It probably depends on where on the caliper your valve is: If the valve is on top, you probably won't get fluid coming out, but if it's at the side, you probably will.- Use a drain pan below, (not just newspaper) in case that happens- As other reviewers have mentioned, read the instructions carefully. The black adaptors fit inside your valves (and push them in hard): you don't try to slide the clear plastic hoses over the valves. Again most of the negative reviewers were doing that.- When you empty it, it's a good idea to empty the bottle before trying to empty the tubes. I first tried doing it the other way around, and spilled the bottle as I forgot I was also holding it while I rotated my hand to drain the tube: an easy mistake to make!- Attach the bottle above the height of the valve, not below: I assume this helps reduce the chance of air getting in.My suggestion for improvement: Have a better way to attach the bottle to the tube (and to the magnet attachment stem): it's easy for it to come detached, if you push the pedal down too quickly.A good little set for home for the price range, provided you're careful using it. If you do multiple cars, you might want a better designed system, but you'll pay more too.... Show more
