Great DA Polisher for the price. It does get a little warm, but it’s not bad at all. It’s such a powerful machine that I think for the price it’s worth it.The first thing to lower the heat, the vibration and the sound is to change the grease. Search YouTube for the Bauer DA polisher grease change, since it’s the same model but for another country. Plenty of videos that’ll guide you. I took apart the head which is easy, scrapped the old grease and replaced it with Redline CV-2 grease, but any good quality grease will do. Suddenly the machine felt cooler after using it extensively.

Brought one of these on-line for around $110 on sale. Lasted 2 hours before the rubber between the polisher and buff pad disintegrated. It literally just fell apart. Supercheap replaced at store level - no questions so great service. I ended up buying a better quality unit and now have a new ToolPro polisher for sale on gumtree.

Build quality is good, decent length power cable and is able to be slung over your shoulder to avoid rubbing/scratching on panels. Speed settings are quite odd though, using a ToolProo orange pad, if you ramp upto max speed, it literally tears the pad apart from the larger 20mm throw. Highest setting I use now is about 3-3.5. A better range of speed settings with a sensible max speed that isn’t warp drive would make this a very viable long term option for many people.Unit is quite loud when operating, I solve this with Bluetooth headphones

I generally use a much more expensive polisher however it died when I needed it the most so I needed a spare until it gets replaced, found this one and had ok feedback but thought it’s better than doing it by hand but I can honestly say it pretty good.Definitely not a rupes but for the price it can’t be beaten, it isn’t balanced as well as it could but it is definitely manageable. I done a whole car and my arms weren’t fatigued completely, it is a little noisy (maybe the motor or brushes)? But it powered on and got the job done.I would definitely recommend it for a beginner, it would be nice to see an extra polishing pad but otherwise top stuff. My rating: 7/10
I was about to trade my 2007 VW Transporter in on a new one. However, having never been garaged, the white paint had become dull and chalky. I have never used a polisher before, but thought I'd give it a go. After using cutting polish, then a polish and wax, the paint came up like new. I have pictures of it next to our new Rav4, and it is just as shiny. When I went to trade it in, the VW salesman couldn't believe the condition it was in and waxed lyrical about how good the paint is on VW's. Little did he know that I'd spent a day detailing the van before taking it to him for a trade in valuation. At the end of the day I was very happy with the polisher and my trade in price!
What a great unit for home use and I got it on special. Used the included foam pad with some meguires ultimate compound. Kept the speed around 3 and had my car looking amazing in minimal time with no fatigue. No more hand polishing for me
Works ok, but I’ll be taking it back as it heats up too much which causes the glue on the polishing pad to let go a fly off the polisher. It happened to 2 pads after only using it for 2 minutes. I tried not putting too much pressure on, and still had the same problem.
Not a bad machine. A bit of balance but it did a good job. I find the single pad fine. Other people mentions it needs another one. Maybe they were pushing to hard. I also rinsed the pad after a few runs with the machine to stop it clogging up. But all in all a great machine. I used speed 2 - 3 sometimes lower. It has a lot of grunt! It also comes with a spare set of brushes for the motor which is a really nice touch.
For the money you cant go wrong its not a great machine but good enough for a diy at home tool. A D loop handle would be a great improvement, the standard foam pad is pretty average and doesnt last long, meguiars 6 inch velcro pads are a necessity when using this tool. I feel the speed range is all wrong lowest speed is still quite fast and flat out will throw the thing out of your hands. Size and weight are acceptable although abit unbalanced and would occasionally drum on the bigger panels. Im happy with the end results It did return great results on all my cars using quality polish much better then hand polishing.
Fantastic machine. A big step up from my 240mm Rockwell polisher which I persevered with for too long. I found setting 3 was a good compromise between speed and comfort, and using the 150mm Meguiar's velcro pads solved the problem of the Toolpro pads disintegrating before finishing one panel. It does get a little hot with extended use, and I found I needed to take a break every hour or so. I was pushing it pretty hard though as I was cutting a large delivery van which had been parked outside under birds in a tree for several months so it was in poor condition. This polisher brought it up looking like new again, using the previously mentioned Meguiar's pads and Ultimate Compound.
