A gear puller is an incredibly handy tool for removal of stuck or small tolerance pulleys or gears. The centre of the bolt on the puller has a pointed centre allowing it to locate in the centre point of the shaft that the gear or pulley is mounted on. With the three outer jaws firmly locked behind the gear or pulley, the bolt on the gear puller can then be tightened allowing the jaws to slowly pull the gear off of the shaft.
