Oil filters can tighten as your engine heats up and cools down, as a result an oil filter wrench may be required to remove it. This ToolPRO Strap Style Oil Filter Wrench will easily remove filters ranging up to 160mm in diameter. Simply wrap the strap around the filter back through itself, pull tight and push the handle anti-clockwise. Increasing pressure will cause the strap to tighten ensuring you have maximum grip.

I know that this is a FILTER wrench BUT that's not WHY I bought it ???I needed a tool to remove some screw-on legs off some furniture/whitegoods items during the recovery phase in the aftermath of the recent disasterous Flood Event here in northern NSW and this tool was PERFECT for the job.The legs were of a large size AND octagonal [8 sides] in shape AND tapered ... so no ordinary spanner or wrench would fit to get them undone. This tool did the job PERFECTLY !!!A GREAT buy !!! Not cheap at around $30 AUD ... BUT a very well made tool that will last a lifetime ...

Brilliant! I swear by this filter wrench. The rubber grip inside the ring grabs/grips the filter properly and turns it with ease, the handle is well designed too and it’s super durable overall

Great Value Tool. However the handle slides down when trying to apply pressure. Its a little to big to get good pressure to loosen/tighten the filter on a 105 series cruiser due to where the filter is placed

This tool is awesome if you only hand tighten your filters. There is a really good feature where you can loosen the screw near the handle to turn the handle 90 degrees to get better leverage. If you plan to do servicing yourself and hand tighten all your filters this will help in taking them off easily.Where is would not work is when a shop mechanic decides to tighten your filter to 200NM and then you are stuck. However mechanics are known to be smart and this will never happen to anyone.Good product for home use
This is one of the best Filter removers I have ever had. The flex handle and the rubber grip in the inside of the ring make this tool very efficient. This is the third one I have purchased so I now have the set of three different sizes. As I have said in my other reviews on this product. I have many different filter removal tools but these for the price are just great value and easy and quick to use.
A little bit pricey for what it is, but does a good job. Never actually used it for an Oil Filter, but is great for the large PVC connections in my spa. This was my 2nd one. One to hold the pipe, and one to turn the big nut.
Servicing mums and sisters cars with small filters. My old tool was to big. Brought this, first use. Was love. Binned the old one cause this one does them all. Absolutely frofing it
Weak hinge, lacking in grip, failed to remove the filter that was on the car. Bought as it was the only one in stock on that day, but it's ended up being a discarded item. Suggest avoid, and find the appropriate cup for your filter and socket wrench.
In a very tight space under the engine, it was difficult to position into a place where I could even get a few mm of movement to turn the filter, but the rubber belt kept slipping (VW T4 with the 92mm diameter large oil filter). The small slippage meant that I couldn't get any rotation on the oil filter. HOWEVER, I placed some 80 grit sandpaper underneath the band and was able to stop the slip and remove the oil filter by turning it a few mm each time.
The strap worked well with out damaging the old filter or new one. very little room to operate in strap helped heaps
