I'm using the Topping L70 as a preamp feeding a VTV Purifi amp from a Bluesound Node streamer. Provides the gain I wanted with clean, distortion-free sound. I can't detect any coloring of the sound from the Topping L70. The headphone section is equally clean with strong bass, but not as much gain as I was expecting, based on the reviews I've seen. Features include balanced and unbalanced inputs, which can be connected simultaneously if you want to switch between two sources. As with some other Topping units, the remote needs to be aimed at the amp. Apos shipped my unit from China, so my amp took a couple of weeks to arrive.

Great amp with lots of features that I need. I like the ability to keep multiple pairs of headphones plugged in and switch. The display is big and visible from my seating position. The programmable remote is the best feature next to that screen. It's paired with E70 Dac and it's my end of the line stack unless topping makes a Dac with a 10 band PEQ! Only con is you have to point the remote directly at the unit.

Great little stack, e70 and l70. Really easy to use and sounds good as well.
I purchased this more for its preamp feature rather than its headphone amp functionality because I rarely listen to headphones.As a preamp, its dual inputs - a pair of XLRs and a pair of RCAs - do the job. My Schiit Bifrost 2/64 DAC is connected to the XLRs and my turntable/phono preamp to the RCAs. I use the XLR outputs to feed my Buckeye Amps NC252MP amplifier and they work very well together. It's very quiet with no background noise. You do need a straight-shot aim for the remote but with my setup, that's easy to do.This Apos Certified unit saved me a few bucks over the new MSRP which is a bonus. I am very pleased with this purchase and the quality of the L70 and I can't find any faults with mine that distinguishes it from a brand-new unit. A perfect fit in my ... I love the unit, thus far. Pairing with Hifiman R10D's and they sound amazing. They lost two stars because they lied about the shipping time. I was told it would arrive in 2-3 days, turns out it shipped from China and took 3 weeks. The communication with their "customer support" was pretty worthless.I like the unit. I'd purchase from somewhere else in the future to avoid the shipping issues.
Best headphone amp I have ever owned, no matter the cost. It drives almost anything you throw at it with no discernable distortion. A tremendous value for the quality and functionality it offers. Listen loud and proud!
The Ensemble was a pleasure to set up and listen to. With three different headphone outputs I can easily swap between them. World class specs and sound in an attractive package.
