The toughbuilt storage boxes beat the others. This is the sturdiest better built storage system. Have tried all and toughbuilt is by far the better built storage boxes. The drawers on these actually click shut where the Klein system does not you turn a tiny corner and they sling open. You will not be disappointed with the toughbuilt storage boxes.

This has been a great addition to my stacktech system. This is a heavy duty three drawer organizer. If you keep a lot of small parts such as pex fittings, screws or other type of small parts this is the organizer. I really like the reinforcement of the build quality that the others do not provide.

Drawers do not function properly because the dividers pop out of place while in the back of a truck or trailer after normal bumps and rattles. Once the dividers come out, all your screws and accessories will inevitably slide under the dividers, disabling the drawers from opening. This renders the whole thing useless. I brought this problem to the attention of Toughbuilt and all they had to offer me was a $25 gift card. What am I supposed to do with $25 when I paid $180 for the drawer unit? I decided to glue all the dividers down with epoxy which seems to work for the time being, but it shouldn't have come to that in the first place.

I’m sure this product will get plenty of 5 star reviews. Maybe it’s for you but it didn’t work for me. I have the small, medium and large tool boxes as well as the crates. I think they’re all fantastic. The Stacktech line overall is great. So this is the first product that I didn’t care for and for a 150 bucks it needed to be better. What I didn’t like about it… 1- the weight. It was really heavy empty. But I guess that is to be expected with the drawers. 2-cost. If this was the only negative I would say you get what you pay for but unfortunately reason 3 was a dealbreaker. 3-drawer latching. This is my primary issue with the product. The drawers did not slide open easy. Some had difficulty fully opening. Drawers latch and stay latched but they didn’t latch easily. ... MoreI’m sure this product will get plenty of 5 star reviews. This is my primary issue with the product. The drawers did not slide open easy. Some had difficulty fully opening. Drawers latch and stay latched but they didn’t latch easily. When latching, there was no definitive click sound or feeling of a click. It was a little hard to know if it latched or not. When I was at Lowe’s, I compared this to the much cheaper Craftsman Versa Stack with drawers. Those drawers opened easily and had a definitive click when latched. My recommendation is to test it out in the store and see if it works for you. For the price I couldn’t justify keeping and had to return.
I got this recently and love it! The drawers come with the dividers already set up inside and each drawer has it's own locking handle. The quality is at or above my other three-drawer toolboxes made by other top manufacturers. The drawers glide easily in and out and all aspects of it is durable and visually appealing. The entire STACKTECH system is exciting and I am looking forward to purchasing everything that comes out this year.
I boughtseveral Stacktech products. I really like most of what I got. However, the 3-drawer tool box I got had some sort of flaw preventing any of the other boxes from locking in place. None of the other boxes I bought have this issue. I tried to exchange it for a properly working one, but the only other one my local Lowes had in stock had the exact same flaw. I will try to buy again if/when I can find one without this issue.
I am a fan of StackTech but am disappointed here. I love StackTech's look, steel reinforcement at the sides and across the interior, the quick and easy snap stacking, the heavy duty recessed handles, and overall build quality (warranty backed). The extra weight is a trade-off, but not an issue for me. Another trade-off is the extra force needed to open and close the drawers vs other systems. I like it, but it makes them harder to open and close one handed, especially when stacked atop the rolling dolly. My real complaints are #1 price, especially after the hike from 150 to 169 and #2 the uneven interior of the drawers. The unevenness adds strength but impedes easy customization or use of bins. The unevenness adds strength but impedes easy customization or use of bins. For example, in full drawers tools sometimes catch on the unevenness above each drawer (where the roofs seem loose and flimsy, when they could have been molded together for better strength and unimpeded sliding).Other complaints include: how the drawer latches are plastic, how they can't be padlocked without customization, how they lack a rain gasket (like Dewalt's Tough System), and how none of StackTech's organizational bins fit well into the drawers (unlike Rigid, Klein & TradeStack). For the high price and recent launch I expected more.
The design team at Toughbuilt really put some thought into the stacktech system. I was going to go with the Ridgid Pro system until I went to my local lowes and played with these kits. The drawer slides are smooth and they hold quite a bit of tools. The boxes are well made also. If you want padded, fitted inserts for the drawers, check out Kaizen Products.
Bought this for moveable tool storage in a small store room. Solid build and removeable dividers makes it usable and practical.I also like the fact that it can connect to other compoents.
