For me this is a great daytime moisturizer! It's soothing and plays nicely with my sunscreen and makeup without pilling, and I use a variety of different sunscreens. I have pretty sensitive skin and am somewhat acne-prone especially on my chin. My acne has improved since switching to this for my morning moisturizer. As I've gotten older my skin has gotten drier, and I prefer a richer, thicker moisturizer for nighttime (I use Tatcha Indigo repair cream currently but it's definitely too much for daytime use if I'm going to put on sunscreen and/or makeup). I don't think this moisturizer is quite rich enough for nighttime use for me, but if you have oily skin it would probably work well for that too. I don't really notice any scent which is my preference.

I was very nervous about trying this product, not going to lie — the only other Tower28 skincare product I've tried, the SOS spray, was incredibly irritating for me and inflamed my already sensitive skin. I had pretty much accepted that Tower28's SOS line wasn't for me, and was more likely to cause an SOS skin situation than fix one. But this moisturizer blew my ultra-low expectations out of the water. For background, I have combo-dry, acne-prone, often sensitive skin (I use a topical retinoid and live in a city). For the longest time, I've been on a hunt for a nighttime moisturizer that does not further irritate my skin, leaves my skin feeling hydrated even hours later in the morning, and does not break me out (like petrolatum often does if I'm not careful). A lot of moisturizers specifically marketed toward sensitive skin, from well-known brands like Neutrogena, Klairs, and others, have actually irritated my skin... I was almost starting to accept that if I used moisturizer, it would burn my skin at least a little bit. But no, this moisturizer left my skin feeling soothed and truly felt like a barrier cream after a long day of being exposed to pollutants and wearing lots of sunscreen. It's pretty thick, but doesn't feel too heavy or greasy on my acne-prone skin, although I don't think I would ever use this in the morning. After barely a week of using it, it's become a staple in my nighttime routine, and I'm not sure I can go without it now lolonly 4 stars because it's fairly pricey (although not by Sephora standards) for under 2 oz of product

I love this moisturizer! I usually use CeraVe's face moisturizer but find in the Canadian winter it's not enough - especially since my routine has some strong direct acids and prescription retinoids. This moisturizer is exactly what I needed! Is it as thick as some others? Nope, but it has no acne causing ingredients and is still rich. Usually, my face flakes in the winter but this has kept me flake-free!It's simple, effective and reasonably priced. This is a product I will definitely turn back to and appreciate its simplicity. Also, it has absolutely no scent! I'm fragrance sensitive so that's another great plus.If your face is extremely dry - I wouldn't turn to this. But, for my mild winter dryness, this is perfect and hasn't caused any breakouts!

I’ve read and seen videos of people recommending this moisturizer for people with sensitive skin, redness, and rosacea. All skin concerns of mine. The scent makes me happy-it’s barely noticeable yet fresh. The consistency is unlike any moisturizer I’ve ever used. It sinks into my skin quickly. I’ve noticed a certain bounce smoothness, and subtle glow to my skin the next day. The redness and rosacea still shine through just not as intensely… which may be my doing because I’ve found myself rationing this product. I unfortunately, cannot justify spending that cost for a minimal amount of product again. Happy I tried it though.
I have a love-hate relationship with this moisturizer. On one hand, it definitely improved my redness from my rosacea and irritated sensitive skin. I didn’t notice it at first but once I switched back to my regular moisturizer, I saw a big difference. It also didn’t cause me acne like most moisturizers. On the other hand, it is not as hydrating and moisturizing as it claims. It’s thick so you’d think it would be but it only lasts on my skin for about 2 hours and then it’s dryer than before (I have combo skin, it even did it to my oily areas). For that reason, I don’t recommend using this as a stand alone product, I had to break out my holy grail thayers miky toner which helped with the dryness a lot. I also feel that it’s very expensive for what it is since it’s so ... MoreI have a love-hate relationship with this moisturizer. I bought this because my skin barrier is quite damaged and was looking for a good quality moisturizer to help. I was confident after reading reviews and sliding through photos; I was excited to start healing my skin within days! For reference, I’ve also stopped using all of my actives to really start repairing the damage.Right off the bat, this is a pricey tube for the small size AND it only comes half full. Next, it’s been a few days and my skin is not much calmer post using this cream. I feel like if your skin has lots going on, it’s going to take longer so beware of that when purchasing. Also, sodium polyacrylate starch (one of the ingredients) is listed on acne clinic NYC as a pore clogging ingredient. Otherwise, it’s a good moisturizer and my oily skin only needs a small amount at a time. All in all, I cant see myself repurchasing since it’s $33 for a half full product.
I received a sample / trial size of Tower 28 Redness Recovery Moisturizer and I immediately bought a full bottle. The price? perfection. The feel? Silky yet matte (wont leave you shiny). Very hydrating while also being quenching and calming to the skin. Amazing for skin sensitivity and skin redness. This moisturizer is a 10/10. I specifically look for light to medium moisturizers as I already have combo- leaning oily skin and I need something quenching, cooling and hydrating without leaving me looking like an oil spill. This does just that! Doesnt leave your hands greasy either. Really loving this product. Ive used it solely for a few days now and I swear my makeup stays better and my skin doesnt get as oily! Definitely helps with redness!!
I have used their S.O.S. spray so I was excited for Tower 28 to launch their S.O.S. moisturizer. I have sensitive, combination skin with hormonal acne, so finding a moisturizer that doesn’t break me out or give me a reaction is difficult. I normally use Topicals Like Butter moisturizer but I don’t like how oily it is. With Tower 28’s moisturizer, it dries down where the topical one would still be shiny after 30 min or so. I’ve noticed my skin not being as dry and flakey when I have breakouts throughout the day so that’s a plus. Overall, I love this moisturizer, it doesn’t have a funny smell like most unscented moisturizers do, it’s not super oily, and I can see a difference in my skin after using it! To start, I'm in my late 30s and I have mostly good looking but very dry skin, and on my chin I deal with severe hormonal acne. I struggle to find moisturizers that are hydrating without being irritating. A lot of the reviews said this was a great winter moisturizer but too heavy for the summer, but I highly disagree. For me, this moisturizer has a natural almost borderline matte finish which is not for me. Although it does feel nice going on, I like my moisturizers to leave just a little bit of that moisturized hydrated feeling on my skin after it's used. But this moisturizer really just goes back to making my dry skin feel like dry skin within 30 minutes.I haven't been using it long enough to know if have experienced any benefits from it still. But the fact that it really absorbs and sinks into my skin so fast without leaving any of that moisturized feeling behind really makes me feel like this is not the right moisturizer for me. Again, I have very very dry skin in the winter. Before this I was using the Alpyn Barrier Moisturizer which was a bit thicker than this and left more of a moisturized dewy feeling, but still wasn't quite good enough for my winter skin. But that one is way too expensive and I wanted to try something new.I think if you have normal skin or oily skin that gets a dry in the winter, then this might be a great moisturizer for you. But if you have truly dry dehydrated skin, this is not it.The upside is it did not cause skin irritation.
I needed a gentle moisturiser, with good barrier repair ingredients and this is it! It feels lovely on the skin and I think this would suit pretty much all skin types. Having oily skin, I hate gel moisturisers as they are not nourishing enough, and moisturiser creams can be so greasy on the skin. This is a nice nourishing cream that sinks in perfectly. Not greasy in the slightest and immediately feels soothing on the skin. In my opinion, this would be rich enough for dry skin, without being too heavy on oily skin. Such a solid all rounder. My skin looked lovely the morning, after having used this with the spray. I have also been really needing to repair my barrier and this did not cause irritation and helped sooth a reaction that I had around my neck.
