Tower T17088 Vortx 9L Dual Basket Air Fryer

Great unit. Very impressed with the air fryer, as an ex-head chef, I must say it is a brilliant piece of technology that I could’ve used in a professional kitchen. Cooking a joint is easy and the taste of the meat…juicy yet crispy on the outside.My only wish would of been able to have a large single drawer as well as the two single draws, so I could cook a larger joint of meat.It’s really easy to use, self explanatory really. Easy to keep clean. I can’t think of bad thing to say it.If you are thinking of buying for the first time…get one, you won’t regret buying this one!

Easy to use

Simple deign that is very easy to use. You cant just programe a time and temperature without first selecting one of the preset options but this makes little difference. Just select a preset then easily adjust the temp or time up or down as needed. It is much faster than my conventional oven cutting recommended cooking time for the conventional oven in half for some items and about one third for others. The drawers are a decent size when cooking for one or two people but not any more unless you reduce the size of the servings. Its used every day in our house now and so simple even my youngest kid has started experimenting with it. Great (to begin with)

I eventually bought an air fryer. After everyone saying how good they are. It started off really well. I used it for a couple of days. And just as I was getting used to it I noticed that basket one wasn’t getting ad hot as basket two. I contacted Tower and explain what was happening. They said it was a heating fault and to return it. But up to that point it was a really nice east machine to use. It was quiet and it worked well if you only use one basket at a time and didn’t want to match cook.

Great cooker and with the larger size good for the family.

Cooks chips in half the time of conventional cooker. No waiting for preheat. I have bought two models of air fryer the Dawoo 8L for my partner and the Tower 9L for myself. Both are very good cookers. In my opinion the dawoo is a better looking cooker and slightly easier to use, but is slightly smaller then the Tower 9L and still looks good in the kitchen. If you want a bigger cooker for the family then would recommend the Tower 9L. Both machines are easy to clean and very efficient. Both excellent value compared to the ninja and as good a product.

Not great

It has two drawers so you can cook different things simultaneously, and the match took means that they will be ready at the same time. The pre-programmed cooking times/temperatures for different foods are a bit redundant as we generally had to adjust them most of the time. The instructions aren’t very clear either. The biggest problem I have with it is that it stopped working after 4 months - to be fair we used it a lot but I expect something with a 12 month guarantee to last at least that long. To be fair to Tower Customer Service though, they authorised a refund without any hassle.

Good Points: Used this virtually every day since I bought it! The fact you can cook two different things at the same time is such a time saver. You can set both baskets off at different temperatures and for different lengths of time and set them to finish at the same time. Absolutely amazing! I don’t know how I ever lived without it. The drawers are a fantastic size- I cooked a whole chicken in one drawer. Took 60 mins and tasted AMAZING.If you’re on the fence and not sure, I’d strongly advise you to go for it. It is well worth the money.

Bought this twin drawer air fryer after having a single one for a year. I looked at all different brands and prices and could not justify buying the more expensive ones when they do exactly the same thingI just love my Tower air fryer. It does take a while to get used to all the functions but once you do it’s amazingI can’t remember the last time I put my oven on which has to be a good thingI was amazed at what I could cook in the air fryer and it is so healthy. Food even tastes better tooI have bought myself an air fryer cook book so will be trying lots of new ideas from now onHighly recommend this air fryer it has changed my way of cooking forever

Vortx 9L Dual Basket Air Fryer

Following a friend’s recommendation I bought this dual basket air fryer. I certainly didn’t regret my decision. I love it. Having two baskets is fantastic allowing you to make a whole meal or air fryer larger quantities. The time and money it saves instead of using your electric oven is fantastic. I rarely use my electric oven now as you can cook most things in the air fryer. Looks good and it’s easy to use. Great price too. Would highly recommend.
