TP-Link Archer A10 AC2600 Wireless MU-MIMO Gigabit Router

I bought one to replace my ac68u which had been working great but at faulty recently, however I regret my purchase very soon. This router's wifi is very weak compared with ac68u. I am having a plan of unlimited 100Mb (fibre). My previous ac68u can easily be accessed at 100Mb through wifi (downloading, OOKLA) and its signal is very stable, however this model's average download speed only 13 Mb (wifi, 4 metres away from this router with one wood frame wall between ). As it says on the box

Affordable, good range, fast, solid connection and a fairly straight forward set-up through the TP-Link app. I read reviews about this modem before and it was said to be one of the better models in the affordable category and so far so good.

Best router I've had

This router is amazing. No issues in our 1200sqft house in every cornereasily connects devices and the App on my phone is super easy to understand and navigatewill buy TP-LINK again

Don't buy this

I can't recommend buying this at all based on the 2 month time I had it and it died. Pass on tplink and netgear (no support for a 2 year old router when a vulnerability was found). The netgear router was only a little over 2 years old and a high end when I bought it. Netgear End-Of-Lifed it. Netgear was contacted by a 3rd party about the vulnerability and didn't disclose it for 5 months. When I contacted them the NetGear representative said to make out a security report. Why? It's already on their site, they know about it. The NetGear router stopped working a few days later and I bought the tplink to replace it. Both routers and companies are total wastes of time and money.

Fixed Archer C3500 missing DNS

Previous C3500 with Access did not recognize DNS like 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4. Both of these were pingable, but ibm.com was not. This router resolved the DNS issue. That may be due to a later version of firmware, with no updates available for the 2016-vintage C3500. Much diagnosis required.

Good performance, UI for setup and monitoring to simple-minded (and has issues)

A good value for the price (I bought a refurbished model, which I assume merely means reset to factory settings and cleaned up. Hopefully it was not abused by the previous owner.) My Cons listed above are mostly annoyances, and not major faults. They probably would not even be noticed by the average user. Since I was able to (eventually) successfully set up the router to do what I wanted, and it has good performance, I would buy this router again.

Great Router but used it as an Access Point due to my provider

I bought this to router to act as my primary router but my ISP's combo unit is specialized and because it serves as my video and internet modem, I would have to get another modem just for the video to let the internet pass through. It's a small ISP and the only one that serves in my hunkbunk town. So with that said I decided to use it as an AP to boost the signal using the 5gHz signal, which my providers combo unit doesn't transmit on. Since I already set it up, after figuring out my ISP's requirements, I decided to keep it. Love the unit and the range of the signal is much farther now. I can't comment on the router functions, sorry.

Just right for me

I learned my lesson with a cheap router with a nice looking specs. sheet. It was slow and couldn't even give me coverage within my house. Then I upgraded to the AC2600 which wasn't much more expensive than the cheap one but it is a whole lot better. It is fast everywhere that I've run a speed test and I now have signal throughout my house and my entire 1/3 acre yard. I really don't know how far away I have to walk in order for my signal to drop.

the Firewall ACL keeps blocking my own device

This TP-Link Archer A10 AC2600.. keeps blocking my device that is already whitelisted and blocks browsing internet. it happens again and again. The support doesn't seem to have a fix. Its firmware is up to date per the interface and all settings to block DDos set to High, Ping blocked from Wan/Lan.
