The TP-Link user interface is amazing compared to previous router interface which was slow/clunky and prone to failing during updates. Product was easy to setup/configure. My husband also configured the NAT routing for access to internal web servers. I have other TP-Link products that I have been satisfied with, so I bought this router to upgrade the speed from an older Netgear router I was using. It is pretty much an upgrade on every level. Router has latest firmware, turned on/off OneMesh, changed 2.4 GHz channel, relocated router and adapter... nothing would stop the adapter from losing connection every two to five minutes. A quick google search shows that it's not just me with this problem... pretty common issue with their 2.4 GHz support with newer routers. The next day I went out and bought an ASUS AC1200 USB Wi-Fi adapter (another $30) that has 5 GHz support. It works great and it's way faster, but I was mainly concerned about a reliable connection, which it also has no problems. I'm just a little ticked because it feels like I was "forced" into upgrading because something that previously worked fine with LESSER hardware was made non-functional because of this "upgrade." So my main point is that if you are planning on upgrading to this router from a wireless N or older model router, you might have to plan on upgrading your wireless adapters, too, if they can't use 5 GHz. Otherwise, a very good value for the upgrade to Wi-Fi 6.

The Archer 3200 is placed in the center of my finished basement and provides good coverage throughout the house, on both levels. I do get some signal loss, when moving farther away from the router, but it still remains quite strong and gives me good speed. The router is easy to set up and my WIFI 6 devices always default to the fastest speed available. My older devices seem to be operating at slightly faster speeds also. Thus router does that & instantly boosted my sitting room wifi from 80mbps to 300mbps on a 5ghz network. It's a good mid range router ideal for gaming. Set up is easy as you can imagine via the tether app. Scan the qr code & your away. Power down your main router then connect through ethernet cable preferably cat6 or above & what your wifi speeds & deadzones change drastically. Not the best by far but for the price & my indoor needs it is absolutely fine. I wish there were more security features & I don't like you have to pay for wifi protection. It’s not the prettiest thing but It’s pretty modern looking and the antennas are adjustable. I was hoping after reading the reviews that this would work for our family and it does!! Not to mention, I love to go outside during the morning and have my coffee but can never get reception. With this system it reaches and then some. Iam really glad I got this because we can all enjoy our own technology at the same time without anyone lagging. Hurray!!!
I installed this router to replace my existing router. I was pleased with the ease of hooking up the connections, but had a question about which blue port to plug my internet patch cord in to as there are (2) options. I called tech support, provided the model info needed, and the agent said she had the product pulled up. Then I asked which port to plug into out of the the (2) blue ports and she simply advised the blue port. I again expressed that there were (2) ports and was put back on hold again and then told to check my modem. Bottom line is the agent was not familiar with the product or basic set up. Just tried both ports and tested. I installed the recommended Tether app on my phone and easily entered the set up info and the router was up and running. The coverage is far superior than my previous router. I used to have an extender and would have to connect to it in one end of the house, but now I have complete coverage. My internet connection is very slow from my provider, but I have seen a little bit quicker service using this router and would think that it would be even faster for a true broadband connection. It has a lot of security settings and capabilities that can be configured, but I am happily using it with basic plug-and-play set up.
Have to say that I detest setting up new routers since there is inevitably a challenge with my internet provider. Despite that, I am happy I did. In all actuality it was a fairly simple setup and the app was easy to use. I am extremely impressed with the speeds. I have 200Mbps service (I know there’s faster but it’s just me using it) and am happy when I can hit above 100Mbps. My smart tv (new LG) often buffers on some apps like Paramount + and Hulu which is frustrating as heck when you’re in the midst of an enthralling episode of (insert your favorite mind candy here). Alas, I not only said goodbye to buffering, I can now use Wi-Fi throughout my whole house and into the garage (I’d check the yard but it’s cold and I am a wuss). So, in summary, this router is butt ugly but is easy to set up, has great coverage, unbelievable speeds & helped with buffering issue. Probably would rate it higher but it sticks out like a sore thumb and I’m not sure how I can hide it. Maybe I’ll hang ornaments on it or paint the antennas and call it “folk art”?
I moved from Spectrum to Verizon Fios. I am not on a gig connection so I was picking up the router rental. Consequently, I decided to buy my own router and return the Verizon router. In addition, I was also facing some issues with the Verizon router as my TP Link extender would not recognize the signal coming from the Verizon router. I have no modem. The Cat 6 ethernet cable connects the OTN directly to the router. Once the connections were in place and I booted up the router, it recognized the signal with minimum time delay. Setting up is very simple thru either web or Teether app. (I used the web). I live in apartment and all my streaming and mobile devices are clearly showing improved performance.
