I have always believed that you could only get fast internet connection using asn Ethernet cable. My home is small but this became so unsightly. This product proves me wrong. I am absolutely astounded at the speeds I obtain. If you are like me, do not hesitate, it may be a little on the expensive side, but it will be as fast as a cable connection.

The model number for this WiFi-6 adapter is Archer TX3000E which is hard to see on the box because there is larger lettering that says AX3000, which I presume is an indicator of its 802.11ax (WiFi-6) speed rating.Installation: It uses a small PCI-e 1x slot on your motherboard, so make sure you have one available that isn't blocked by your graphics card. In order for the Bluetooth to work, though, you also need to connect an included cable from the card to a USB header on your motherboard. The two antennas can screw directly into the card, or can be mounted on a weighted base as shown in the picture. WiFi and Bluetooth drivers (Win10) come on a DVD or you can download them from the TP-Link support website.Performance is great, as expected from dual-band WiFi. To ... One day when I upgrade my router to WiFi-6, I expect this will only get better.Overall this adapter is highly recommended.

Whenever this card is installed in my computer, it crashes before it's ever even finishes turning on. Since it was part of a brand new computer build, it took me a long time to figure out. My return window has frustratingly passed already.I see now on the tp-link website that this is apparently common for some operating systems. I was installing Windows 10, so you would think they would make this very very clear on the product page, probably at the very top, that this doesn't work with Windows 10 if that is in fact the issue. But of course, they didn't supply that sort of warning. There was nothing else installed on computer. A completely fresh install so there is literally no excuse that I can comprehend for this.100% will not recommend this or other tp-link ... Just don't play any video games off of it and use Bluetooth headphones, unless you are hardwired into your router of course. After all this one, I deserve that free monitor your entered to win for reviewing products, don't you think?? ;)
I wanted to test an alleged Wi-Fi 6/WPA3 router I had acquired, but didn't have any client hardware with those capabilities. I got this card to test those newer standards, and to replace a terrible OEM Wi-Fi adapter in a desktop I use mainly as a media center. Installation was a breeze, and I even had an available USB header on the motherboard for the Bluetooth to work, so now I avail myself of private listening using my wife's headphones. The Bluetooth range is remarkable. The computer in which this is installed is located on the second floor of my old, plaster-and-lathe house. while listening to music through headphones, I left the room, went around a corner, went downstairs to the first floor, then down to the scary basement. The connection never faltered. Now, ... MoreI wanted to test an alleged Wi-Fi 6/WPA3 router I had acquired, but didn't have any client hardware with those capabilities. The connection never faltered. Now, on to the Wi-Fi performance. If you look at the attached photo, which was a screenshot of my network status, the card definitely connects as an 802.11ax client with a WPA3 protocol. Note that the up- and download speed is 1200 Mbps! The last thing that makes this card worth it is that it sports Intel hardware, making it likely to receive driver support for a long time.
I bought this for my wife's PC, as she wanted to use Bluetooth earbuds for gaming and online calling. I tried a tiny, cheap Bluetooth dongle for a few bucks, but the range was abysmal. While this was a bit more than I wanted to spend, it's been worth the investment. Installation was quick and painless. I've built PCs before, so installing the card and connecting the USB header was no big deal for me. Now her PC no longer needs a wired network connection to get fast speeds. Over 802.11n, downloads went super-fast and speed tests showed excellent results. The primary concern was Bluetooth range. I was able to connect her earbuds (Anker Liberty 2 Pro's) and wander all over our townhouse, including upstairs and the basement, with no drops or skipping while listening to ... The only issue we discovered is a Windows 10 problem, not an issue with this adapter. For some reason, it doesn't fully-reconnect for music, it seems to only reconnect for voice calling, which leaves the audio tinny. Re-pairing the buds fixes it every time. And I certainly can't fault the adapter for this. Overall, this adapter has been fantastic. It's fast, has good range, and it connects quickly. If I need another adapter like this in the future, I'd get this again in a heartbeat.
Having upgraded my router to WiFi 6 standard, the dodgy old WiFi card in my wife's desktop PC couldn't connect to it. Curses! After a scour of the internet, I saw some pretty good reviews of this bit of kit so I picked one up. Very easy to install, if you're accustomed to rumaging around inside PCs, and an excellent receiver. You'll need to connect it to a USB plug on your motherboard (using the cable provided) if you want to use the Bluetooth connectivity, but that's no more daunting than inserting the card into the PCI-E slot in the first place. The desktop PC in to which it was fitted sits in one of the corners of my modestly large house, almost as far as it could be from the router and on a different floor, but Speedtest gets download speeds of 400Mb/s, that's ... My wife is very happy with her new-found high-speed reliable internet access, and I'm in her good books. So that's a buy!
TL;DR - I had problems with my card, but I couldn't determine if I just had a bad chip or if it is indicative of bad design. If I would have had a working one, I would have given this 4 stars all day.I was really hoping this would be a great product, but unfortunately I had a lot of problems with it. First off, the product name is a small bit misleading. With previous gen (WiFi 5), names were based on their speed ratings and WiFi support. For example, AC1200, AC1900, AC3100, etc. Basically, if you grabbed a product labeled AC1900, you knew it would be capable of speeds up to 1900Mbps (1300 on 5Ghz and 600 on 2.4). This product, however, is NOT AX (WiFi 6) 3000. It is actually an Intel AX200 chip. Now, that said, AX200 DOES theoretically give you a maximum 3000 ... This product, however, is NOT AX (WiFi 6) 3000. It is actually an Intel AX200 chip. Now, that said, AX200 DOES theoretically give you a maximum 3000 Mbps (2.4 Gbps on 5Ghz and ~570 Mbps on 2.4). I have not seen other WiFi cards adopt this naming schema at this time, and it is a MINOR complaint. At first, the card was working great for me. I uninstalled my previous Intel drivers and installed the new ones from TP-Link/Archer's website, no problems there (search for AX3000e). The magnetic base was a nice touch and it felt high-quality and well-made. Honestly, I wish I would have kept the unit JUST for that and used it with my AC1200 card.About a week in, however, I started noticing some weird problems. My WiFi on my 5Ghz band would lose Internet connectivity, but since my router broadcasts two 5Ghz signals over different antennas, I thought maybe I had a defective antenna, so I switched to my other WiFi band, but the problem persisted. At this point, I figured what the heck and reset Windows, wiping everything out, re-installing all my drivers from scratch. This also had no impact on the problem.I started to do a bit further testing and ran some speed tests, noticing strange behavior on the uplink. It would stutter during speed tests, which I have never seen before. Ookla is a great example, because from a browser on your desktop, you can see the minute differences in the fractions of Mbps as it constantly refreshes. With my ac1200 card getting ~300+ steady on uplink, this was only capable of ~180. You'd essentially see the decimals change and then just freeze before suddenly jumping around again.I did some more digging and decided to tear down the unit compared to an Asus unit I had. The heatsink is quality, it's a nice lightweight aluminum and has a heat pad which appears to be decent quality over the chip. This is held down with three small phillips head screws. Removing this, I noticed that the antenna connections are not directly connected to the chip, but instead, there is a trace on the motherboard from the connectors to the standalone wiring. Not sure if this really has an impact or not, I'm not an electrical whiz, but the Asus unit I tore down did not have a trace, the antennas were just directly connected to the antenna cables.I popped out the chip - Intel AX200 - and noticed some dark coloration on the gold contacts. I am not sure if this is "normal" or not, but the AC1200 (also Intel) had no discoloration. I popped this into the Asus board and reconnected the antenna cables, and attempted tests using both the magnetic base antennas with the unit and the stock Asus ones (plastic, folding, non-magnetic). The problem with the upload speeds and random disconnects still occurred, leading me to believe the chip was defective.Due to this, I switched back to the old ASUS AC1200 card. So here's the bottom line, IF you get a good one (because mine may have just been defective), it's a great value. You WILL get good speeds and a well built unit with a great antenna base, but you may also wind up with a problematic unit that causes frustrations.
Short Review: This device is excellent. The performance is just solid and the range is impressive. Has better range and performance then previous AC cards read below for details. As for this beast of a Network card rocking the AX200 chip even without the antenna accessory attached gave me the full speed of my internet connection and the stability is perfect. It dropped the ping about 10-15ms which is perfect. I know this chip is capable of speeds between 800-950 Mbps for this with gigabit internet connections. In the photo: excuse, my bad wiring the antenna has one wire coming to it and it splits into two when connecting to the card. Unfortunately, the Bluetooth feature does need a USB header to be taken.
