I got this and a Deco M4 2-pack because I was having endless issues with lousy WiFi coverage in our largish house. The old router and WiFi extender just weren't cutting it. The setup was a breeze - literally 10 minutes of unpacking & plugging in and the whole place had super strong seamless coverage. The bonus on top was my ADSL connection (I live rural so no fibre for me) speed went from 6Mbps to a shade over 8Mbps. And if you're into design aesthetics, the units are rather stylish as well.

We bought this device hoping that we would gain some control over our teenagers access to the internet. To do this, you have to manually block their device(ipad) at which point they can reconnect, with a new automatic mac address that apple devices automatically generate, and evade the block. The tp-link community forums have been screaming for a white list function for about three years now and nothing has been done. Meanwhile, my teenager is rotting her brain on tik-tok and we have no option but to keep changing the router password. What is the point of this device? Oh, you also have to pay a subscription to access the full toolset.

Old modem died on me, decided to upgrade to a better one. Installed and see no improvement in internet speed. Wifi signal was strong though. So, upgraded NBN package to 100mbps. Microwave usage interfering old modem was an issue for me as well. But doesnt affect this modem which was a plus. Overall great product for the price. Looks great in the living room as well.

We live in single storey home approx 180 sqm, Router placed approximately central on a high ledge. Was easy to install and set up, just download the app first it it guides you through the setup process. Good coverage through the house, garage and back yard. No drop outs and strong wifi signal every room. Happy with the unit.

TP-Link AX1800 VDSL model is currently the only WiFi 6 modem that available in Australia, it works with FTTB, FTTN, FTTH, FTTP. All i can say it has improved connection issues and performance that i was previously having. It was easy to setup, once you downloaded the app on your android or apple phone, you simply followed the instructions the app showed you and you are connected in no time. It took me about 5-10 minutes to setup my modem using Aussie Broadband. Another great thing is you can monitor the modem and turn on settings through the app. If you're a gamer or streamer the only downside is that TP-Link hasn't allowed users to adjust more advanced settings to further improve gaming online. So i'm very happy with the modem so far and have had no issues either.

Game changer!

I never thought modem can make any difference for internet, and who going pay for expensive price just for a modem? well, this mesh wifi6 system changed my mind. usually set up modem could be very stressful and headache, thanks the tp-link app make the set up so easy, much easier than i expected, I couldn’t believed i connected it to wifi without calling my provider to help. before have this modem, my smart devices dropped off all the time really annoying, and often need to re set most of my smart lights such a headache . now everything smooth, stable, faster. significant improvements noticed straight away, i would recommend everyone upgrade you current modem. and this modem can connect to the phone line from the wall or your current modem. both way works. brilliant

Great Modem Router
3 July 2022

I bought this about 1 month ago and so far so good. This is a great modem router for me, I have FTTN. I plugged it in and it picked all my internet settings up automatically, without me doing anything extra. The speed seems a little faster than my previous modem, which is great. I also picked up some Deco M5's to work with the mesh system and they are plugged in to a 1 Gig eth backhaul, works perfectly.

I love this product. Fantastic performance and the easiest networking product I have ever installed and setup. The Tplink Deco smartphone app is great with clear instructions. It has seriously improved my wifi coverage and reliability.

Perfect- super efficient
5 August 2022

Has been floorless. Was simple to set up. I did need to call my Internet provider to adjust settings and even that was super quick. Comes with an App that made set up easy Looks great also. You would think it's a stylish diffuser on your shelf. I bought other modems that where way to complicated, had drop our and download issues. This has really been set and forget. Many other reviews I read said similar things. Was happy to pay a little extra to get all I have mentioned above. Great, reliable product.

Works great

Product works great. There were a few hickups during install so you might need to be able to play around with the setup. You may need support if you can't work these things out. It was very basic but I had to deviate from the instructions and do a little Google searching. I paid full price for online purchase and could have gotten it significantly cheaper in store, so do this if possible.
