We've used the TP-Link Deco M5 mesh for over 2 years so were familiar with the app and setup. We needed to upgrade as more of our devices run WiFi 6 AX protocol. Bought this Deco X55 and used the Ethernet wiring in the house as backhaul. Wow! Now getting >800 mpbs Internet speeed in most living spaces on newer phones. Used the spare M5 units to extend coverage to the granny flat and a spare room. Very fast and even the free version of the Homeshield app offers basic parental controls and network management. Has 3 Ethernet ports which us great. Only con is it could have 4 or more ports on one unit that us used as the master. However very reliable and performs better than more expensive AX mesh systems. Highly recommend this model.

The TP-Link AX3000 dual band Wifi Deco with 6000 mesh was just what the doctor ordered for the connectivity issues in our home. In a 3000 Square foot home with 7 people (including children), connecting to the router (and with so many devices), we needed a solution to prevent the dead spots and speed issues that have been occurring. This home mesh system solved the problems we've been noticing (and more) and was super simple to set up. It's literally like 1, 2, 3 Tada! You download the app, connect the Wifi Deco according to the instructions, wait for the blue light to turn green and you're almost there. The Wifi Deco application is entirely user friendly and comes with robust anti malware tools; a malicious content filter that blocks malicious websites, an intrusion prevention system and an infected device quarantine that prevents any infected device from sending any sensitive information out to clients outside of your network. The parental controls allow you to monitor and manage internet usage for each member on your network. This is great for filtering content based on the age groups in your home or completely blocking particular apps or websites. It also allows for time limits so you can define how much time your family is spending online. Last but not least, you can set priorities for devices and applications for faster performance, (like games, streaming, chatting etc) All of this at the touch of your fingers and providing far more information and control than you had with a regular modem/router in your home. For me, this is really a plus. If that isn't enough, the system is also compatible with Alexa! Now you can use voice control to manage the Wifi! They state that you can also connect more Wifi Decos if you needed to extend your coverage beyond 5000 feet. Add to this the fact that they're simply attractive and blend in with any decor. It's a highly economical solution to what could be much more expensive and in my opinion, it's a lot of value for a very affordable price.

This is an AMAZING router system! I have never had an easier network setup- EVER! There is an app you download that essentially does all the technical work and just prompts you to do what you need to do to set everything up (which basically included plugging things in, getting the app, then choosing a password for the network). One hiccup I had was my TV had trouble realizing that my old Wi-Fi was gone (I could not Air- Play or stream over Wi-Fi). But that was more a problem with my TV than this awesome wireless network and was easily corrected by updating my TV remote app. The only other thing I goofed up was forgetting to add my printers to the wireless network. So I asked the TP-Link app how and it was SO easy! Follow the printer setup instructions (push a Wi-Fi button on the printer), then the app made the network discoverable and within 30 seconds the app/network connected to the printers and DONE! So easy- seriously the most seamless setup I have ever done. So much so that when hubs came home from work, the network knew him! WOW! I had told his iPad (at home) about the new Wi-Fi while he was at work and when he walked in the door, Deco knew it was him and added his iPhone and iWatch to our network without him having to do anything!! That is so cool! The app has so many functions as well- like limiting kiddos screen time or specific devices getting the most speed when there is a lag. I cannot say enough good things about this wireless router!

Awesome product...solve the slow wifi speed in my home.
14 June 2022

Before installation I had my home main router in my home office. I pay for 200mbps download from Wow. If I try to connect to the internet from my bedroom on the other side of the house I could only get 40 to 50mbps and sometimes it would drop completely. After installing the 3 node Deco X60.. one in the home office, one in the basement that is halfway between the bedroom and my office... and one in my bedroom. Now I get 160mbps to full 200mbps speed in my bedroom. Whooo Hooo... it works! Note: after installing this each of the nodes needed to autoupdate their firmware. Before this firmware update the download speed was half of what I am getting now. Point is.. make sure you update the firmware if needed.

Ez setup Great Performance, value purchase.
25 February 2023

Ez setup, great performance, seems good quality. The ease of setup here can’t be overstated. I’ve literally setup dozens over many years and this is by far my best experience. No laptop/computer console, no default password, no confusing menu, no ssid reconfiguration and no repeat resets to get it right. I believe even the tech challenged will be happy and successful. I chose this one, in part, due to Ethernet Backbone. This means you can connect the other mesh devices by wire or wireless. This is handy as we have a detached studio next to our house. Basically shut down your old router and modem, power this and your modem up, download the app and follow on screen instructions. The setup and administration app works well on my phone. Basically shut down your old router and modem, power this and your modem up, download the app and follow on screen instructions. The setup and administration app works well on my phone. There are probably some advanced menus but I have no need. Performance is great, but I also am coming from a 5yr old and failing tp-link router Archer C3000. That had WiFi 5 AC. I was happy and don’t regret that purchase. This has WiFi 6 AX. Performance on download doubled and jitter decreased by about 14%. I have a 1gbps Comcast line and was getting average of 200-400 down, 20-25 up, 20ms latency, 2.5ms jitter. The download doubled to 600-700, the jitter had a noticeable improvement to 2.1ms. Latency and upload seemed about the same next to the unit but I think they were much better further away. I ran several tests. It’s not placed optimally due to a shorter power cord but still performs well across my house. WiFi coverage is greatly improved with just one unit in the house and one in the studio. The back bedroom where WiFi used to only barely work is now responsive and getting 137mbps down/ 15 up/ 25ms latency. Hardware and packaging is good. The package was moderately wasteful but protective and easy to open. The unit seems sturdy and appropriately weighty. Connections seem good. The status lights aren’t busy with just one glowing downward facing. It comes with a power cord 1/2 the size of my last one. About 6ft so you may need a extension cord. 12 hours after setup it’s warm but not hot. I don’t know if I’d call it a manual that was included in the box. It isn’t good for much other than status lights. But you don’t really need it either. I paid $151 yesterday fir the 2 unit kit. I’m impressed by the quality, features and price. I really didn’t expect this to work this well for the money. I was willing to spend twice that. Overall it seems to be good quality and great performance. The real treat here, though, is the incredibly painless setup.

Mesh router that blankets whole house
10 June 2021

This Mesh Router by TP-Link is great for the average household. There are 2 wifi units in this package that use the latest wifi 6 standard. Setup was straightforward and simple. There were no glitches or misunderstanding with using the app on a mobile device to initialize the units. The units have a neutral clean look that should blend in with the decor. The wifi speeds are relatively fast for the average user. It blanketed most of the house with decent wifi coverage. For those that are not tech savvy, this is ideal for a plug and play. For me, I'm particular about separating the 2.4G network and the 5G network, instead of all in one, with different network names and passwords for security and redundancy. I tried to find the settings to separate the 2.4G from the 5G, but I guess this is a mesh router for a reason, to keep it all seamless for the average Joe. I prefer to separate and keep all the IOT devices on the 2.4G network, and have all the mobile devices on the 5G network for isolation in case of a hack. If you find that's overkill and not bothered by that, then this is a really good wifi mesh system that has excellent coverage for the average household. Overall, the two pod units have a simple clean look to it, that'll fill a house with great wifi coverage for 150 plus devices.

The single combined 2.4/5 and the mesh work well
29 April 2022

This TP-Link mesh router has way out performed the D-Link DEL 2020 I had previously installed. These routers broadcast both 2.4 and 5ghz on the same network rather than two separate networks, one 2.4 and the other 5. My wifi thermostat and my printer didn't work reliably with the single network of the D-Link so I had to split it into two networks, which then worked. The D-Link died after 16 months and I replaced it with this TP-Link Mesh router with 2 nodes. My thermostat and printer now work with the single broadcast network, which is a good thing since TP-Link doesn't allow you to split it into two networks. The single network implementation of TP-Link must be better than D-Link since it actually works. Also the TP-Link warranty is 2 years instead of the 1 year ... MoreThis TP-Link mesh router has way out performed the D-Link DEL 2020 I had previously installed. My thermostat and printer now work with the single broadcast network, which is a good thing since TP-Link doesn't allow you to split it into two networks. The single network implementation of TP-Link must be better than D-Link since it actually works. Also the TP-Link warranty is 2 years instead of the 1 year D-Link warranty. I had better signal strength on the main floor because with the mesh. I had the main router in the lower level and the other node on the main level which worked very well. The more traditional D-Link broadcast wifi from the lower level and the signal was not as strong in some areas of the main floor. I'm so happy!!

Very Good For the Price

I purchased this as a upgrade for my Deco M5 Units, I replaced 3 M5s With 2 W6000's and I've been very happy with it so far. Pros AX3000 For Cheap Great Coverage (2 W6000's are roughly the same as 3 M5) Very Good Speeds, getting ~800mbps 10Ft from Main Unit Supports my rather dense Wifi environment. I have roughly 120 wifi devices and so far no real issues my M5 Units started to have issues with roaming after I got just over 100 connected. I have ~10 Wifi 6 Devices, About 15 Wifi 5 AC, and the rest are 2.4 Ghz devices for anyone that wants to have a litmus test. They are roughly split between the two nodes with a wired backhaul. I also have roughly 20 wired devices. Cons Homeshield was included with Deco M5 for 3 years, Its a 6$ subscription for the W6000, but worth ... MoreI purchased this as a upgrade for my Deco M5 Units, I replaced 3 M5s With 2 W6000's and I've been very happy with it so far. Limited Control through web browser just like all decos. Only has 1gbps wan port, would love to see this upgraded to a 2.5 or 5gbps port but 1gbps works for my purposes. Overall A very good buy for the price and I would highly recommend it for people with up to 100 devices.

Works great!

I decided to try this out for some time before finally writing and submitting a review, because I’ve tried other similar ones in the past and they worked great for the first few weeks and then they just weren’t doing anything anymore of what they are supposed to do and was just a waste of a product. This TP-Link Wi-Fi 6 Mesh Router Replacement System | 2- Mesh Routers | Deco W6000(2-pack) | 5,000 sq. ft. of WiFi Coverage is amazing! It has worked extremely well and extremely consistent for over a month now without a single issue or problem! We have a game room in the backyard and before this the Internet was far from good or great, and with so many devices, smart phones, laptops, desktops, smart tv’s, apply tv, roku tv etc all connected at once it was just a ... MoreI decided to try this out for some time before finally writing and submitting a review, because I’ve tried other similar ones in the past and they worked great for the first few weeks and then they just weren’t doing anything anymore of what they are supposed to do and was just a waste of a product. Not only did it make the Internet a million times better for everyone , it also covers the entire backyard and let me tell you there is huge backyard here, we even went out to the alley way to see how the Internet worked and it worked amazing! So far so good and I expect it to continue working as good as it’s been. It is amazing I highly highly recommend it!
