[Rewarded Review] Best speed and signals I've ever had.

We used to have a Orbi tri band system with 1 router, 2 satellites and it was slightly older from around 2018. It worked fine for a connection under 800mbps but our house is around 4,800sq ft if you count our garage, basement and other areas. Unfortunatly the way our home is, the router is on the left side, we have one satellite upstairs and one on the other end of the house in the garage. Our router speed test was around 800x400, 300x200 upstairs 2 rooms away and 150x100 in the garage on the other side of the house. So i tried the Wyze Router pro and it wasn't great, it just overall doesnt have many features and couldnt carry a good signal to each satellite and wifi handoff was TERRIBLE.So i got this system, placed them in the same spot. We pay for 1,100 by 600 mbps. Now by the router we get that FULL speed wirelessly, upstairs 2 rooms away we get 800 by 600, and in the garage we get around 780 by 500. Sp overall, the signal is extreme, it works anywhere in our yard and any part of our house gets amazing signal, speed, and wifi handoff between them is amazing. We used the 6ghz band as a backhaul instead of using it as a seperate network & backhauk and it makes it faster. Overall this system range might be overkill but it ensures everywhere in the house we're at least getting 85% of our total speed. Havent had issues with any devices connecting. Setup is super fast and easy, and app doesnt have too many crazy features but it has everything you need and its super quick and doesnt lag.

My wife and I both work from home and needed good strong wifi to cover a 5000+ sq ft area in our newly purchased house. Want to be able to get a good signal inside and out by the pool. I read a lot of great reviews about these on this site, and from "professionals" on several others. Here's the entire event unfolded.Setup was very easy and only took a few min through the app. It took longer to choose a new network name than anything. Connected 3 Samsung TVs that are 1 year old, a laptop, two iPhones, and hardwired a PC to the main unit. All of this was completed in roughly 10 min. I was super happy and decided to take a shower and get ready to relax and watch some TV before going to sleep. That's where the whole thing turned south.Turn on the TV in the fireplace ... MoreMy wife and I both work from home and needed good strong wifi to cover a 5000+ sq ft area in our newly purchased house. That's where the whole thing turned south.Turn on the TV in the fireplace room and within 5 min of a show it starts buffering. Thought it was odd, but it's a new system that has some "smart" technology built in. Restarted the TV and everything was fine for about 3.4 min, and buffering again. Then I start running some tests. We have a 1 gig service through Spectrum, and can consistently get between 875 mgb and 1.1 gbps everywhere in the house with the wifi router that they sent. Tested on the phone with the Deco, 475-560 and it didn't matter if I was 15 ft, or 5 inches away from the the pretty little can of frustration. Tried my laptop, same issues. Slower speeds than on the one provided by Spectrum. Guess what happened when I turned on the other TVs.... THAT'S RIGHT! BUFFERING !!!!Needless to say I was not happy in the slightest little bit. I spent almost $500 on this with the extended warranty, and it is now back in the original box, I have put my original router from Spectrum back in place, and will have my refund very soon.

I’m three weeks into having switched to this mesh router and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve been an avid Netgear user for quite a while and this is the first time I’ve switched away from them. First and foremost, setup of this system was unbelievably easy. I’m fairly competent in setting up networking gear, helping family and friends reconfigure their home network and the process to setup this entire network was way faster than anything I’ve ever tried. I’ve got the network setup to communicate backend over wifi 6 since most of my devices are still on older chips. I have a plaster and lathe metal wall house and before struggled with getting signal in a majority of my house. I have 600/20 internet and was previously getting 120 down off of my old mesh network. I have a plaster and lathe metal wall house and before struggled with getting signal in a majority of my house. I have 600/20 internet and was previously getting 120 down off of my old mesh network. Now I’m getting 350/20 on my nodes and full speed off of the base which is super impressive to me. I like that I can see the network health remotely without having to be on the home network and it shows fairly quickly what devices are connected and also whenever a new device connects, notifies me of it.Aesthetically, my wife, who needed the system to at least look not ominous black, loves that it hides easily on shelves and doesn’t stand out.Officially a fan.

[Rewarded Review] First Unit Failed, Second Unit a Gem.
4 November 2023

Coming from an Orbi RBR50, this set of 3 6E capable units is a big upgrade, providing excellent WiFi coverage for my 2900 sq. ft home with two stories. The main unit is in the garage where my fiber jack comes into the property (Jack plugs into the main XE75 unit), my second unit is in the living room, and the third in the bedroom which can also be easily moved upstairs if needed.I am on my 2nd box. My first set failed at least 4-to-6 times a day and was very frustrating to deal with. I have BB's "Total Tech" service, and was able to replace the first set in about 2 minutes at the store...no hassles whatsoever. The second/new set works flawlessly. Set-it and forget it. The initial setup is a breeze, with several prompts to guide you through the process. The initial setup is a breeze, with several prompts to guide you through the process. In the end, I was able to connect each unit to an ethernet jack, giving me the best performance throughout my home. The setup and configuration is done through your phone and TPLink does a good job setting up many of the defaults. There are several settings that need to be manually configured, and it takes a little while to navigate through the whole app finding the settings to set/change.The first-time setup also included a firmware update, which took about 4 minutes to complete. The only key features of the browser interface is being able to see and download log files, and manually install new firmware.A bonus feature: a setting to turn off the unit LED at a specified time and turn it back on at aa specified time...great for the unit in my bedroom.Overall, my experience has been very good and it was a wise purchase on my part. With 6E and the XE75, I am future proofed for some time to come.

[Rewarded Review] Just don't do it - Not worth it

When I upgraded my home internet to 1.2 Gbps, I wanted a newer wifi system to take advantage of the speed. I replaced my trusty 6 year old Netgear Orbi wifi with this. Boy do I wish I had not bothered. The system worked for a while, but the last several months have just been an increasing nightmare, as the internet signals slow or drop altogether. I'm no neophyte (my networking experience dates back to the good old days when you had to crimp your own cables) - so I've assured myself the issue is not with the cable modem, internet or interference. TP-Link tech support has been utterly useless - nothing but level 1 form letters ignoring everything I already told them and running me through a pointless list of "turn it off and turn it on" exercises doing nothing to ... MoreWhen I upgraded my home internet to 1.2 Gbps, I wanted a newer wifi system to take advantage of the speed. It's quit commong. As I can't wait for TP-Link to fix this issue, these things are close to getting chucked in the garbage, and I'll bite the bullet and buy a new Netgear , Amplifi or Eero solution. This will be my first (and last) TP-Link purchase. I caution you all to consider alternatives rather than waste your money with this lemon.

I recently upgraded my home Wi-Fi system with the TP-Link Deco XE75 Pro, and I must say, I'm thoroughly impressed with its performance and capabilities. [Rewarded Review] Super smart self-configuration!
19 June 2023

I just upgraded from a Netgear WiFi Router with a range extender in the other room. This was SO much easier to install and configure and works much more seamlessly with my devices. I had it up and running in no time with the Deco app on my Android phone. The only confusing thing was that the app asks you to pick your model and I kept looking for AXE5400, but it was under XE75 (the other part of the name). I also had to make sure that my old network was down for 30s or so before it would allow me to re-use the network name and password (so I wouldn't have to re-enter settings in every WiFi device in my house).I'm getting consistent, full speed throughout the house and garage now. I was happy that it will search all the channels to find the emptiest one (I live in a very crowded neighborhood - in the past I had to manually find the empty channels). After setup I used a scanning app to verify that it had chosen channels that none of my neighbors use :-)I also have wired ethernet in many places in the house, and was happy to find that I could just plug one of the non-main units into the wall and it automatically switched to using the wired connection as the backchannel to the main unit. How cool was that? The app shows exactly what is going on with the system in a very understandable way.It literally made every smart decision through the whole process all by itself. Even though I know what to do, I didn't have to lift a finger for it to set itself up in the most optimal way.I wondered if I was being silly to spend this kind of money to upgrade my system, and it was worth every penny!

I have been a Netgear fan for 20 years. Before Netgear I had ASUS routers and migrated to Netgear because they make a bunch of networking gear. I have owned every Netgear router that looks like a space age fighter from the AX line that I can safely say I've spent several thousand dollars with Netgear. I had become numb to slow Wi-Fi speeds off of their routers and I kept thinking that another firmware update or maybe I'll just purchase another router and it'll get faster speeds. I've become accustomed to seeking third-party firmware's in order to gain more control through the Netgear interface on their router to no avail. I've become accustomed to seeking third-party firmware's in order to gain more control through the Netgear interface on their router to no avail. I have a gigabit fiber connection into my closet for my provider and have never been able to get anything over 350 or 400 in Wi-Fi speed where the router would always test at 980 960 and so on. You cannot connect to 4K TVs and multiple mobile phones and a work laptop and all of your IOT devices to that type of connection. You're going to get video quality drops and connection drops either on your TV or during your work sessions on the Netgear Wi-Fi network with speeds that slow because it happened to me no matter what I did I did not get good Wi-Fi speeds from Netgear. I have a personal relationship with my internet provider because of how hardcore I got into troubleshooting, packet sniffing, anything that would further identify what the issue was with my Wi-Fi network and all along it's just Netgear and they're crappy products. And they're overpriced too! I am now convinced, having taken 20 minutes to set this mesh network up in my little home that Netgear doesn't care about their customers, taking their money while they distribute super cool looking sub standard performing products with crap firmware updates. And I don't even know anything about mesh networks! I'm saying all of this because this TP link mesh network, OUT OF THE BOX, gives me 900 MB plus speeds with no intricate config at the router no tweaking of the app... it just works. This dang little thing said itself up for me. Not only does it just work out of the box, but I spent $340 bucks on these three satellites. My Netgear RAXE500 was $600, my orbie devices were $1,200, the RAX6000, the 8000 all of those devices are hundreds and hundreds of dollars and this device just worked perfectly out of the box! People are now buying Wi-Fi 7 routers when there aren't any devices to support that and netgear's leading that line with a $2,300 or $2,700 triple satellite Wi-Fi system or if you go look at their reviews they can't get good Wi-Fi speeds off of those products either! What the heck was I thinking with Netgear all these years! I will never go back to Netgear and I will never use another Netgear device no matter how space age they make it look. I am very happy with TP-Link thank you.
