Voice control works great with Echo, Echo Dot, and several Apps. I use these 3 free Android Apps (Alexa Listens, Lexa, and Roger). At the Apple Store there is Lexi.

The Kasa App can adjust the LB120 color from a yellow soft-white (temperature 2700k) to bluish daylight-white (6500k). Other outstanding features are scheduling, automation, and energy savings. While the LB120 is equivalent in brightness to a 60-watt incandescent bulb (800 lumens), at full brightness it consumes only 11-watts. It weighs 6 ounces. The shatterproof dome is frosted and the beam angle is 270 degrees. It is suitable for environments having temperatures of -4 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit. Unlike CFL light bulbs the LB120 reaches full brightness with no warm up time. At 100% intensity it has a 25,000 hour lifetime. Incandescent 60-watt bulbs typically last only 1,000 hours. So, one LB120 should last as long as 25 incandescent bulbs. Moreover, switching to the LB120 from an incandescent results in an 83% energy savings.

I have set up my den and various rooms in my parents' house with smart light bulbs of a different brand that require a hub. These TP-Link bulbs were just as easy to setup, if not easier. I find myself frequently having to update the hub in order to keep the other smart bulbs working, and occasionally one will misfire for one reason or another, my guess is distance/interference between the hub and the bulb. Between my house & my parents' house, I have to tinker with the hub or delete and re-add a bulb 6-8 times over the course of the year. Now, obviously I only have a couple weeks to go off of with these TP-Link bulbs, but thus far, they've worked flawlessly. I programmed them on day 1 and they've come on and turned off on time without a hitch; same for turning them on/off remotely through the app. The only downside I've seen whatsoever is their compatibility with the Amazon Echo/Alexa. When I initiated setup through the Alexa App, I enabled the Kasa Smart Home skill without issue, but Alexa could not discover the two bulbs. My other bulbs that are connected via the hub were discovered without issue when I set them up and have worked well via voice control for the last couple of months. Ergo, I'm hopeful TP-Link gets the bugs worked out with regards to Alexa, but really, for my purposes (front porch and an upstairs light), voice control isn't nearly as important as the scheduling feature.I don't hesitate to recommend this TP-Link bulb - if you're debating TP-Link verses a brand that uses a hub, this is definitely the way to go!

I couldn't be happier with these Wifi bulbs. I ordered several of these bulbs to put in lamps and light fixtures. They have a great color temp range and provide a nice clean, easy to read by 6500k. They use the 2.4GHz wireless frequency not 5GHz, but that really isn't an issue especially if you have a multi-frequency, multi-band router. It's nice to isolate all your smart home devices on a separate band from your other devices. Amazon Alexa integration is easy and works great. You can link multiple bulbs together in the Alexa app. The bulbs are also very easy to setup using TP-Links Kasa application on Android. These are the best light bulbs I have ever purchased and the best light bulbs on the market today. No hub is required and they have great connectivity. My first smart home product and I love it! Didn't think I'd care much. I was just curious and it was a daily deal so maybe half the regular price. I live in an apartment and don't consider turning lights on and off a big deal. However, for my bedside lamp, being able to turn it on or off or dim it by voice is GREAT! I love ability to select/change color, but do wish I could do that by voice, rather than only in the app. Since I only have one bulb (I gifted the second one) I named it light so I can just say turn on the light. Love that I can say dim the light to x percent so I can get anything from very bright light to barely there. Surprised how much I like this product---not silly at all! Key feature for me was that this product doesn't require additional hardware (hub). Also am planning to get a google home mini and it mattered to me that these bulbs are compatible. In sum: love it!
Good Points: The LB120 was easy to set up and use. Simply download the KASA app, create an account and follow the instructions to add a smart bulb on the app. They do a pretty good job of showing different shades of white at various light outputs (dimming) and once linked can be controlled nicely though the Amazon Alex smart speaker and app. Providing you have a good Wi-Fi signal works very well and you don’t have to purchase a separate dedicated hub to use so cost effective in small quantities.Improvement Points: If using in a pendant lamp or non-screw fitting you will have to use the supplied adapter which adds just over 30mm. Slightly more expensive compared to smart bulbs that require Hubs.
I had 4 of TP-Links smart plugs controlling each room of my apartment and I enjoyed their app, Kasa, and integration with Google Home. I got two of these for hanging lamps over my kitchen island and I love them. Updating the firmware was easy, and they worked well once I grouped them together as a pair, and then grouped them with the rest of my kitchen lights. One pet peeve I have with these is the automatic temperature setting (Circadian mode). It does a great job mimicking the current sunlight, but what I didnt realize was that it also sets automatic brightness levels with the sun. So if you use these as any kind of primary light, once the sun goes down, it will be set to 5% brightness until dawn. Its a bit of a pain to have to reset the brightness of it to use ... MoreI had 4 of TP-Links smart plugs controlling each room of my apartment and I enjoyed their app, Kasa, and integration with Google Home. I have all LED lights in my house and figured will try the WiFi bulbs as I am quite happy with the Kasa app and my five HS110 smart outlets. Alas, these bulbs have several flaws that while individually can be tolerated, but totality are not acceptable:1. The bulb makes a notable buzzing sound, especially at 15-60% brightness. In a quite evening room we can hear it several feet away.2. The bulb has a rather directional light. Unlike my 800 lumen 2700k Sylvania run-of-the-mill LED bulbs that have a wider angle this LB120 has a much bigger bezel (its generally a notably bigger bulb!) and the light doesnt quite go behind it. This would be fine for my recessed lights but not fine for my night stand light where LB120 mostly beams at the ceiling.3. At its brightest setting, the light produced is the equivalent of your typical 60W light bulb. And I find the amount of light the LB120 produces to be perfect. I also find the light to be much easier on the eyes than your standard bulb. Also, these are great lights to use in a home theater room, where you will be able to dim them for movie watching, or completely turn them off, all from the comfort of your favorite chair. And for those of you wanting to take the coolness up a notch, you can control them with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. I do not have either of those devices, so I was unable to test my light with voice commands.I have to say, I never really gave these type of lights much thought, but after using one, I think they are pretty dang cool. And the best thing about them, they require less energy to operate, which is not only great for our environment, but our wallets as well. Win, win!

CFL's never did really dim well, the new TP-LinkLED bulbs really get nice and dim. One of my favorite parts to this one would be the color changing of the bulb, I am a big fan of the really bright white, while my wife like the soft white. This has been a sticking point for our in home lighting. With this new bulb, it the solves our problems. Love the modes you can set, including one I will mention called Circadian- this mode automatically adjusts its color and brightness depending on the time of day! Not sure you just heard what I wrote, WHAT..this feature is so cool, I have been running it in this mode. This is going to be great for the rooms that do not have windows!! Overall this is a great addition to our home.We have also been using the amazon echo with this light since its natively supported. So when I am going into my office which is out in the garage(My idea to be more isolated), as i amwalking downstairs in the morning I simply say "Alexa turn on Office lights" and done, when I get there lights are on. I feel like The Jetsons(some may not get this), its an older comic tv show with space age theme. This is really a nice product and will order more for my movie viewing room.Think about it, "Alexa dim movie room lights" TP-link has a great one here!
