I use this bulb with Homebridge to add it to my Apple Home, it integrates just fine and is now part of several automated scenes. To use it with homebridge you still need to use the Tapo app first to connect the bulb and find its IP address, then with the right Homebridge Plugin it works great. These bulbs are a great price, I've gotten several and am pleased with them.

One out of the two bulbs received was faulty, confirmed after talking TP-Link tech support. Lengthy registration and proof of purchase procedure and costly ÂŁ3.35 (at my expense) to return ÂŁ7 bulb to TP-Link for replacement which I am waiting for. Should've returned it to Toolstation.

Just ordered a couple of these initially to see if they would be as good as I hoped. Easy to set up with the TP-Link/Tapo APP on my phone. The bulbs are as bright as I hoped and the ability to dim the light is a great feature. A very good first dabble into the world of the Smart Home, I am likely to buy more.
Pros: Well made, no space/size issue when substituted for standard bulbs.Very easy to setup and control.Integrated well with likes if Samsung SmartThings and Google Home. Cons: The makers app may be sufficient for many, but lacks the integration that is offered by such as SmartThings.
We bought 4 Taco plugs and they connected to our system and have worked perfectly. What a pity that the two bulbs cannot find our router, as the plugs to did with ease . We are waiting until we need to revisit JL to return them to store. If they functioned as well as the plugs they would have been excellent value for money. .
Bought two of these bulbs as security lights when coming back late at night. Despite numerous attempts to set them up always failed to connect.internet works on everything else - very disappointed.
I'm already a user of several tplink tapo devices so it made sense to choose these bulbs from the rapidly growing market. They work great via the Tapo app, very controllable and reliable technolgy. The light quality is excellent - soft but not too soft
I'm mostly happy with this globe. You can set the % brightness through the Tapo app or the google nest app and with google voice commands as well as on, off commands. It has a setting to choose to turn on again with last set state % brightness or custom setting and still remembers this setting if physically turned off or power failure for when power is turned on again. Only thing is if it could be set to remember the last power off (or on) state when it does lose power. If your not home and get a interruption to power (power failure) it will turn on all your lights when power comes back on. Say if your out and not home to turn them off again. Maybe a firmware update could give you a last powered state option. Gave it 4 out of 5 stars for not having this feature.
